The fluidity of Plasmodium berghei-infected mouse red cell membranes is increased over that of uninfected cells at both 24°C and 37°C. This was demonstrated by electron spin resonance spectroscopy using the hydrocarbon spin labels 2-dodecyl-2′,5,5′-trimethyloxazolidine-N-oxyl and 2-heptyl-2′ -hexyl-5,5′-dimethyloxazolidine-N-oxyl to label regions of the bilayer near its surface, and deeper within the hydrocarbon region, respectively. Arrhenius plots of the ‘empirical motion parameter’ (Ri) obtained from 2-heptyl-2′-hexyl-5,5′-dimethyloxazolidine-N-oxyl-labeled cells versus temperature over the range from 0 to 45°C showed an hysteretic behavior of the spin labels in the membranes of both mature and immature uninfected cells. Such hysteretic behavior was consistently lacking in membranes of infected cells. These differences in membrane fluidity and spin label behavior are interpreted to reflect biochemical modifications of the red cell membrane which occur with infection by the malarial parasite.  相似文献

Neonatal infection of C57BL and BALB/c mice by cloned ecotropic and dualtropic mink cell focus-inducing (MCF) murine leukemia viruses (MuLV) induces a wide spectrum of different lymphomas of T, B, and non-T/non-B cell types. Oncogenic dualtropic MCF viruses and poorly oncogenic ecotropic MuLV act synergistically in lymphomagenesis. Within one mouse strain virus-induced T-cell lymphomas arise earlier than B-cell lymphomas after neonatal inoculation of a single-cloned MuLV. The host genetic constitution, notably the H-2 complex has a marked influence on lymphoma type. This H-2 influence can be explained by an H-2-linked difference in penetration of the thymus early in life by oncogenic thymotropic MuLV, which in turn is correlated with, but not necessarily due to the magnitude of the anti-MuLV antibody response.  相似文献

Summary In investigating the influence of vibrational energy on the metabolism of the erythrocyte, it was hypothesized that under conditions of normal PaO2 and SaO2 in arterial blood, vibration induced vasoconstriction would decrease local blood flow and induce hypokinetic hypoxia. This decreased blood flow and therefore decreased delivery of oxygen to the tissue would markedly lower tissue PO2 (hypokinetic hypoxia), which would influence the energetics and metabolism of the erythrocyte. The metabolism of the red blood cell (RBC) was evaluated by measuring the enzymatic activities of PFK (2.7.1.11), PGI (5.3.1.9), PK (2.7.1.40), and aldolase (4.1.3.13) from the anaerobic glycolytic cycle and D-G-6-P (1.1.1.49) from the pentose cycle. Also measured were the levels of ATP and 2,3 DPG and the in-vitro production of lactic acid. In the group of workers showing early changes (vibration angioneurosis) associated with the vibration syndrome, changes in RBC metabolism were demonstrated. Statistically significant were increases of PFK, PK and the production of lactic acid, indicating the activation of anaerobic glycolysis. Furthermore statistically significant were the increased 2,3 DPG and decreased ATP levels.  相似文献

本文用Low Shear 30流变测定仪,测定了55例肺心病患者全血触变特性的变化,分析了这些变化与肺心病发生和发展的关系。结果表明:肺心病患者血液的触变特性发生了异常改变。HCT、τ_o、η_s、μ、(η_s-μ)、A、ARC均升高,并随病情加重而逐渐明显。其原因主要在于肺心病缺氧所致的继发性红细胞增多及血液氧分压降低,和二氧化碳分压升高所致的红细胞变形性降低。血液触交特性的改变又使血液循环外周阻力增大,右心负荷增加,从而进一步加重了病情的发展。  相似文献

Summary Microelectrodes were inserted into the magnocellular portion of cat's red nucleus (RN), and some basic physiological properties of RN cells were examined by both extra- and intracellular recording. During stimulation of the rubrospinal fibres at the spinal segmental level, the RN cells were invaded antidromically, producing conspicuous field potentials within RN. The somatotopical distribution of RN cells was confirmed by comparing the field potentials induced from C2 and L1 levels. When recorded intracellularly, antidromic action potentials showed three-step configuration as those in motoneurones and were followed by a remarkable after-hyperpolarization. The conduction velocity along the rubrospinal fibres ranged from 41–123 m/sec, with the peak frequency at 91–100 m/sec. The membrane properties were examined in some RN cells by intracellular application of current steps. The total membrane resistance was 4 M on the average, and the membrane time constant 6 msec, respectively.Excitatory postsynaptic potentials (EPSPs) were induced monosynaptically in RN cells by stimulation of the nucleus interpositus of the contralateral cerebellum. Their time course was analyzed in comparison with that of the potentials produced by current steps. Stimulation in the ventrolateral nucleus of the thalamus evoked monosynaptic EPSPs via the collaterals of the interpositus axons which innervate RN and thalamus commonly. It was further shown that impulses in cortico-rubral fibres produced EPSPs in RN cells. These cerebral-evoked EPSPs were characterized by much slower time courses than those from the nucleus interpositus.  相似文献

Summary In the superfused isolated rat urinary bladder, capsaicin as well as electrical field stimulation evoked the release of calcitonin gene-related peptide-like immunoreactivity (CGRP-IR). Carbonyl cyanide p-trichloromethoxyphenylhydrazone (CCCP, threshold 2 M) reduced both, the capsaicin- and the electrical field stimulation-evoked release of CGRP-IR while a low concentration of Ruthenium Red (RR, 0.6 M and 2 M) selectively attenuated the capsaicin-evoked release of CGRP-IR but did not influence the effect of electrical field stimulation. 20 M RR nearly abolished the capsaicin-evoked release, but also attenuated the effect of electrical field stimulation.In the isolated guinea-pig bronchus, electrical field stimulation and capsaicin induced non-cholinergic contractions which are known to be caused by tachykinin release from afferent nerve terminals. CCCP (0.6 M) only reduced the response to field stimulation; a ten-fold higher concentration of CCCP attenuated field stimulation as well as capsaicin-induced contractions. This is in contrast to the reported selective inhibition of capsaic-ininduced contractions by RR.The present data demonstrate that CCCP generally inhibits evoked neuropeptide release, regardless of the kind of stimulation used while low concentrations of RR preferentially inhibit capsaicin-evoked neuropeptide release.Send offprint requests to: R. 目的 了解导赤散加味对慢性前列腺炎的疗效。方法 应用导赤散为主组方,结合直肠指诊、化验检查进行综合分析,辨证加减用药、治疗慢性前列腺炎110例,并与口服环丙沙星片、回通淋丹组40例作对照。结果 治疗组近期治愈率36.4%,总有效率为91.0%,对照组近期治愈率仅15.0%,总有效率为72.5%,两组的有效率比较差异有显性(P<0.05)。结论 导赤散加味治疗慢性前列腺炎有明显改善作用。  相似文献
