Alzheimer's disease, a progressive neurodegenerative disease, affects learning and memory resulting from cholinergic dysfunction. Scopolamine has been employed to induce Alzheimer's disease-like pathology in vivo and in vitro through alteration of cholinergic system. N-benzylcinnamide(PT-3), purified from Piper submultinerve, has been shown to exhibit neuroprotective properties against amyloid-β-induced neuronal toxicity in rat cortical primary cell culture and to improve spatial learning and memory of aged rats through alleviating oxidative stress. We proposed a hypothesis that PT3 has a neuroprotective effect against scopolamine-induced cholinergic dysfunction. PT-3(125–200 n M) pretreatment was performed in human neuroblastoma SH-SY5 Y cell line following scopolamine induction. PT-3(125–200 n M) inhibited scopolamine(2 m M)-induced generation of reactive oxygen species, cellular apoptosis, upregulation of acetylcholinesterase activity, downregulation of choline acetyltransferase level, and activation of p38 and JNK signalling pathways. These findings revealed the underlying mechanisms of scopolamine-induced Alzheimer's disease-like cellular dysfunctions, which provide evidence for developing drugs for the treatment of this debilitating disease. 相似文献

This study explored how mothers grouped into clusters according to multiple psychographic food decision influencers and how the clusters differed in nutrient intake and nutrient content of their household food supply. Mothers (n = 201) completed a survey assessing basic demographic characteristics, food shopping and meal preparation activities, self and spouse employment, exposure to formal food or nutrition education, education level and occupation, weight status, nutrition and food preparation knowledge and skill, family member health and nutrition status, food decision influencer constructs, and dietary intake. In addition, an in-home inventory of 100 participants' household food supplies was conducted. Four distinct clusters presented when 26 psychographic food choice influencers were evaluated. These clusters appear to be valid and robust classifications of mothers in that they discriminated well on the psychographic variables used to construct the clusters as well as numerous other variables not used in the cluster analysis. In addition, the clusters appear to transcend demographic variables that often segment audiences (eg, race, mother's age, socioeconomic status), thereby adding a new dimension to the way in which this audience can be characterized. Furthermore, psychographically defined clusters predicted dietary quality. This study demonstrates that mothers are not a homogenous group and need to have their unique characteristics taken into consideration when designing strategies to promote health. These results can help health practitioners better understand factors affecting food decisions and tailor interventions to better meet the needs of mothers. 相似文献

目的:研究广西产夜香牛生物活性化学成分。方法:用鼠性肾上腺髓质嗜铬细胞瘤PC-12细胞活性跟踪筛选,柱色谱方法分离化合物,谱学方法鉴定化合物结构。结果:分离得到4个化合物,根据谱学数据分析鉴定其结构分别为木脂素类化合物(+)-lirioresinol树脂醇B(1),甾醇类化合物豆甾醇(2)和豆甾醇3-O-β-D-葡萄糖苷(3),以及4-sulfo-benzocyclobutene(4);用神经细胞体外模型试验,检测了分离得到化合物的NGF诱导活性。结论:化合物1,3,4为首次从该属植物中分离得到,化合物4为新的天然产物。 相似文献

This paper describes the background, principles, concepts and methods of framing the technical regulation for edible safety requirement and assessment of agricultural genetically modified organisms (agri-GMOs) for Shenzhen Special Economic Zone in the People's Republic of China. It provides a set of systematic criteria for edible safety requirements and the assessment process for agri-GMOs. First, focusing on the degree of risk and impact of different agri-GMOs, we developed hazard grades for toxicity, allergenicity, anti-nutrition effects, and unintended effects and standards for the impact type of genetic manipulation. Second, for assessing edible safety, we developed indexes and standards for different hazard grades of recipient organisms, for the influence of types of genetic manipulation and hazard grades of agri-GMOs. To evaluate the applicability of these criteria and their congruency with other safety assessment systems for GMOs applied by related organizations all over the world, we selected some agri-GMOs (soybean, maize, potato, capsicum and yeast) as cases to put through our new assessment system, and compared our results with the previous assessments. 目的观察低钙(1.25mmoL/L)透析液加大剂量碳酸钙口服对血液透析患者高磷血症、高钙血症及低甲状旁腺素(PTH)的作用。方法选择长期使用1.50mmol/L浓度钙透析液,同时伴血磷、血钙水平升高,血PTH水平降低的患者27例,观察其在改用1.25mmol/L浓度钙透析液后血钙、血磷、钙磷乘积及血PTH水平的变化。结果使用1.25mmol/L浓度钙透析液2周后血钙水平较使用前即有明显下降(P〈0.01),6周后(加用大剂量碳酸钙口服4周后),血钙水平有所回升(P〈0.05),血磷水平显著下降(P〈0.01),钙磷乘积下降(P〈0.05),血PTH水平显著升高(P〈0.01)。结论低钙透析液可显著降低血液透析患者血钙水平,升高PTH水平,同时口服大剂量碳酸钙可改善高磷血症,降低钙磷乘积,可能起到防止低转运骨病的作用。 相似文献

目的测定聚六亚甲基胍消毒剂对海产养殖动物的毒性,探索其作为水产养殖环境消毒的安全性、实用性和可行性。方法用模拟现场试验法,以聚六亚甲基胍消毒剂对南美白对虾、大菱鲆、刺参、刺参苗和杂色鲍作急性毒性试验。结果48h半数致死浓度(LC50)南美白对虾为25.87μL/L,大菱鲆为179.91μL/L,刺参为6.67μL/L,刺参苗为4.68μL/L;聚六亚甲基胍消毒剂20μL/L以内,48h杂色鲍无死亡。结论聚六亚甲基胍消毒剂在使用浓度内,对南美白对虾、大菱鲆、刺参、杂色鲍的毒副作用不明显,应用于水产养殖环境消毒是安全的可行的。 相似文献
