姜黄素是从中药姜黄中提取的天然多酚化合物,对于脊髓损伤的修复显示出良好的疗效。姜黄素可以抑制神经炎症反应;减少胶质瘢痕的形成;减少局部神经组织自由基释放和脂质过氧化;减少神经细胞凋亡和改善脊髓损伤微环境。综述目前姜黄素修复脊髓损伤研究所涉及8条信号通路(NF-κB、TLR4-TAK1-NF-κB、JAK/STAT、Nrf2、ERS、N-甲基-D-天冬氨酸受体-Ca2+诱导型一氧化氮合酶、SOX9和Wnt/β-catenin)及相关具有潜力的通路(mTOR),为姜黄素治疗脊髓损伤作用机制的深入研究提供新思路。  相似文献

Authors present a review of crucial mechanisms contributing to the invasion of the basement membrane (BM) of the urothelium by cancer cells and to the progression of bladder cancer (BC). The breeching of the urothelial BM, facilitated by an aberrant activation of matrix metalloproteinases (MMP) is particularly perilous. Inhibition of activation of these proteinases constitutes a logic opportunity to restrain progression. Because of limited efficacy of current therapeutic methods, the search for the development of alternative approaches constitutes “the hot spot” of modern oncology. Recent studies revealed significant anticancer potential of natural phytochemicals. Especially, curcumin has emerged as a one of the most promising phytochemicals and showed its efficacy in several human malignancies. Therefore, this article addresses experimental and clinical data indicating multi-directional inhibitory effect of curcumin on the growth of bladder cancer. We particularly concentrate on the mechanisms, by which curcumin inhibits the MMP’s activities, thereby securing BM integrity and alleviating the eventual cancer invasion into the bladder muscles. Authors review the recently accumulating data, that curcumin constitutes a potent factor contributing to the more effective treatment of the bladder cancer.  相似文献

Dietary supplements are widely used as a nutritional strategy to improve and maintain performance and achieve faster recovery in sports and exercise. Exercise-induced muscle damage (EIMD) is caused by mechanical stress and subsequent inflammatory responses including reactive oxygen species and cytokine production. Therefore, dietary supplements with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties have the potential to prevent and reduce muscle damage and symptoms characterized by loss of muscle strength and delayed-onset muscle soreness (DOMS). However, only a few supplements are considered to be effective at present. This review focuses on the effects of dietary supplements derived from phytochemicals and listed in the International Olympic Committee consensus statement on muscle damage evaluated by blood myofiber damage markers, muscle soreness, performance, and inflammatory and oxidative stress markers. In this review, the effects of dietary supplements are also discussed in terms of study design (i.e., parallel and crossover studies), exercise model, and such subject characteristics as physical fitness level. Future perspectives and considerations for the use of dietary supplements to alleviate EIMD and DOMS are also discussed.  相似文献

Backgrounds: Oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) is among the most frequent oral cancers in individuals under 40. Documents have endorsed that a diet enriched with fruit and vegetables can banish the risk of developing major cancers. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of different concentrations of four medicinal herbs including saffron, ginger, cinnamon and curcumin on OSCC cell line. Methods: Having obtained the aqueous extract of the four herbs, they were administered on OSCC cell lines per se and in dual, triple, and quadruple combinations. Their effects were measured in different concentrations and in 24 and 48 hours by using MTT assay. Results: The minimum and maximum effective concentrations were respectively 108 and 217 mg/ml for curcumin with IC30 of 77mg/ml, 108 and 270 mg/ml for ginger with IC30 of 58 mg/ml, 2 and 10 mg/ml for saffron with IC30 of 1.9 mg/ml, and 5 and 40 mg/ml for cinnamon with IC30 of 3.3 mg/ml. The best effect of the combinations was seen for cinnamon-saffron after both 24 and 48 hours and the four herbs combination after 48 hours. Conclusion: Although all the four herbs were effective on OSCC cell line, the strongest extract was saffron, followed by cinnamon. Combination of cinnamon-saffron and combination of the four herbs showed maximum effects. These findings suggest that traditional medicinal herbs may potentially contribute to oral cancer treatment; providing new windows for the development of new therapeutic strategies for OSCC.  相似文献

目的 探究姜黄素通过介导长链非编码RNA THRIL(lncRNA THRIL)表达对脂多糖(LPS)诱导的人正常肺上皮细胞(BEAS-2B)损伤的影响。方法 LPS诱导BEAS-2B细胞复制体外急性肺损伤细胞模型,并加入姜黄素处理。采用Lipofectamine?2000转染试剂将lncRNA THRIL过表达/敲降载体或空载体转染到BEAS-2B细胞中。通过实时荧光定量聚合酶链反应和酶联免疫吸附试验检测lncRNA THRIL及炎症细胞因子[白细胞介素1β(IL-1β)、白细胞介素6(IL-6)、肿瘤坏死因子-α(TNF-α)]水平;CCK-8法和流式细胞术分别检测LPS、姜黄素及THRIL对细胞活性和细胞凋亡的影响。结果 姜黄素组与对照组lncRNA THRIL相对表达量比较,差异无统计学意义(P>0.05),LPS组较对照组升高(P <0.05),LPS+姜黄素2.5μmol/L组、LPS+姜黄素5μmol/L组、LPS+姜黄素7.5μmol/L组较LPS组降低(P <0.05)。姜黄素组与对照组细胞凋亡率比较,差异无统计学意义(P>0.05),LPS组...  相似文献
