A novel approach that uses the concepts of parallel imaging to grid data sampled along a non-Cartesian trajectory using GRAPPA operator gridding (GROG) is described. GROG shifts any acquired data point to its nearest Cartesian location, thereby converting non-Cartesian to Cartesian data. Unlike other parallel imaging methods, GROG synthesizes the net weight for a shift in any direction from a single basis set of weights along the logical k-space directions. Given the vastly reduced size of the basis set, GROG calibration and reconstruction requires fewer operations and less calibration data than other parallel imaging methods for gridding. Instead of calculating and applying a density compensation function (DCF), GROG requires only local averaging, as the reconstructed points fall upon the Cartesian grid. Simulations are performed to demonstrate that the root mean square error (RMSE) values of images gridded with GROG are similar to those for images gridded using the gold-standard convolution gridding. Finally, GROG is compared to the convolution gridding technique using data sampled along radial, spiral, rosette, and BLADE (a.k.a. periodically rotated overlapping parallel lines with enhanced reconstruction [PROPELLER]) trajectories.  相似文献

目的 探讨主动吸入药物烟对大鼠NO的影响。方法 制备大鼠主动吸烟模型 ,采用硝酸还原酶法测定各组大鼠血清、肺、心肌及脑组织的NO含量。结果 非药物烟组大鼠血清、肺、心肌及脑组织中NO含量明显低于非给烟对照组 ,药物烟高、中剂量组NO含量明显高于非药物烟组 ,接近非给烟对照组。结论 吸烟对大鼠血液、肺、心肌及脑组织有不同程度的损伤作用 ,使NO含量降低 ;药物烟具有一定的保护和防止NO含量降低的作用。  相似文献

二十世纪90年代初,国内外对亚低温脑保护的作用有了新认识。动物实验研究发现亚低温对实验性颅脑外伤具有显著的治疗保护作用。大多数前瞻性临床应用研究发现30~33℃亚低温能显著降低重型颅脑伤患者的死残率。但美国Clifton教授牵头的9个医学中心合作研究发现亚低温治疗组与对照组无统计学差异.仅能显著提高GCS 6~8分、年龄<45岁、伤后6h内达到亚低温水平的病人的治疗效果。最近一项欧州5家医院多中心前瞻性随机临床研究结果令人兴奋,他们研究证明亚低温对心跳骤停脑缺血缺氧病人有显著治疗保护作用。目前国内外有关亚低温治疗的争议焦点是亚低温治疗的指征、时间窗和时程。  相似文献

目的探讨神经导航系统辅助下脑重要功能区肿瘤显微手术的治疗效果和应用价值。方法1999年12月~2002年6月应用StealthStation神经导航系统辅助切除邻近脑重要功能区肿瘤10例,对神经导航系统术中应用的优越性、精确性等进行分析。结果本组平均注册误差为(2.8±0.9)mm,肿瘤和重要解剖功能结构定位准确,肿瘤全切除率77.8%。术后神经功能未受明显影响,无手术并发症及死亡。结论神经导航系统对于切除邻近脑重要功能区肿瘤具有定位准确,动态示踪和实时导航,侵袭性小,安全、可靠等特点,有助于提高肿瘤全切率及降低手术并发症。  相似文献

Successful outcomes of hip arthroscopy are most clearly dependent on selecting appropriate patients. The indications are numerous and continue to evolve. These indications are summarized in this report. The anatomic architecture of the hip region imposes unique challenges to performing this procedure. As a surgeon’s experience evolves, so will his or her indications for this operation. It is imperative to be knowledgeable about the technique, to exercise care with the procedure, and to be certain that it is being performed for proper reasons.  相似文献

Analysis of in vivo short TE 1H spectra is complicated by broad baseline signal contributions and resonance line-shape distortions. Although the assumptions of ideal metabolite resonance line-shapes and slowly varying baseline signals can be used to separate these signals, the presence of broad or asymmetric line-shapes can invalidate this model. More complex line-shape models are computationally expensive or difficult to constrain, particularly for the low signal-to-noise commonly found for in vivo MR spectroscopic imaging applications. In this study, two time-domain models for fitting variable spectral line-shapes are examined, one using B-splines and another using summed sinusoids. The methods were verified using both phantom and human data, and Monte Carlo simulations were used to evaluate variations in calculated metabolite amplitudes due to interactions between the baseline and line-shape estimations. Additional studies investigated the use of prior line-shape information, obtained from either a water MRSI measurement or calculations from B(0) maps, to determine parameter starting values or optimization constraints. Both line-shape models showed the ability to fit the variety of line-shapes present in both the phantom and human MRSI data, with similar or improved accuracy over a Gaussian line-shape model; however, this improvement resulted in only minor improvement for the high-SNR phantom data and moderate improvements in regions with asymmetry for the fitted in vivo metabolite images. The use of prior line-shape information was of most benefit when applied toward setting optimization constraints but was of limited benefit when used to define initial starting values.  相似文献

Summary In a 66-year-old woman signs and symptoms of bilateral opercular syndrome (Foix-Chavany-Marie-syndrome) developed progressively over a period of more than 10 years. Facio-linguo-velo-pharyngeo-masticatory diplegia with automatic-vol-untary dissociation was accompanied by motor aphasia and oral apraxia leading to a state of almost complete anarthria. Although it initially resembled the anterior biopercular syndrome there are also features indicating involvement of the posterior opercula. Although the aetiology remains obscure without pathological data, a bilateral focal brain atrophy is assumed. The C-terminal flanking peptide of preprocholecystokinin (preproCCK) has been identified in extracts of rat brain using a novel radioimmunoassay. There is a single form of immunoreactive material on gel filtration, ion exchange and reversed-phase HPLC. The C-terminal preproCCK immunoreactivity had a similar pattern of distribution to CCK8 in different regions of rat brain. This assay should help in studies of neuronal CCK biosynthesis.  相似文献

The planum temporale is a triangular region on the upper surface of the temporal lobe. This area of the brain is important for language processing and shows a left-right asymmetry of size in most brains. Particular interest has been focused on the size and asymmetry of the planum temporale in brains of individuals with developmental dyslexia. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a method that produces excellent morphological details of organic structures. We have developed an MRI method of studying the size and asymmetry of the planum temporale in human brains. Because of considerable variation of anatomical landmarks in this cortical region of the brain, an evaluation of asymmetry is not possible in all brains. Furthermore, our experience with this method indicates that any indirect imaging technique of studying asymmetry of the planum temporale must be evaluated with caution. With this in mind, however, MRI may give valuable anatomical information about the planum temporale in individuals with anomalous language function.  相似文献

The quantitation of diffuse axonal injury provides a more objective approach to the assessment of tissue damage in head injuries. The method designed in this study takes into account the anisotropy and structural inhomogeneity of the brain, and the distribution of lesions in diffuse axonal injury. The number of counts required for the statistical analysis is inversely proportional to the square of the desired accuracy, specified as the percentage of the mean value of the axonal balloons since the true mean is unknown from the outset. The number of fields are examined using an indexed-squares graticule in 10 different areas of the brain. Silver-stained sections from the brains of head injured patients that survived longer than 12 h must be used with this method. Difficulties may arise when patients of different survival times are compared since it takes some time for the axonal balloons to develop. A correlation with the survival time can be established with the quantitative data collected. The morphometric principles and the statistical rationale on which this methodology is based are briefly presented.  相似文献
