少见和不典型椎管肿瘤的MRI诊断和误诊分析   总被引:4,自引:1,他引:3  
目的:探讨少见和不典型椎管肿瘤MRI误诊原因,提高对该类疾病的认识。资料与方法:对16例少见和不典型椎管肿瘤进行回顾性手术病理对照分析。结果:8例实性神经鞘瘤,7例MRI误诊为脊膜瘤,1例误诊为室管膜瘤;2例神经母细胞瘤误诊为硬膜外淋巴瘤和脊膜瘤;2例海绵状血管瘤误诊为神经鞘瘤;3例血管畸形误诊为室管膜瘤、神经鞘瘤和硬膜外脓肿:1例血管球瘤误诊为硬膜外淋巴瘤。结论:在评价椎管肿瘤方面,MRI具有绝对优势,根据肿瘤的位置、信号强度和均匀度,再辅以对比剂的恰当应用,不仅对典型的肿瘤能做出正确诊断,对不典型的和少见的椎管肿瘤也可提供更多可靠的信息。  相似文献

A numerical simulation tool was developed to calculate the echo amplitudes of J-coupled resonances within a series of radiofrequency (RF) refocused echoes. The signal modulation due to J-coupling in rapid acquisition with relaxation enhancement (RARE) is suppressed only when the inverse of the pulse interval (tau) is large compared to both the chemical shift (CS) difference (Deltadelta) of the coupled spins and the coupling constant. In contrast, the echo amplitudes in ultrafast low-flip-angle RARE (U-FLARE) oscillate around a quasi-steady-state value that is greater than zero (neglecting relaxation and diffusion) even when Deltadelta > 1/tau. The flip-angle distribution over the measured slice caused by the use of Gaussian-shape slice-selective refocusing pulses further reduces the echo oscillations. When the pulse interval falls short of the fast pulse rate regime, spectroscopic U-FLARE provides an improved spatial impulse response in the phase-encoding (PE) direction compared to spectroscopic RARE.  相似文献

Although the concept of receiving MR signal using multiple coils simultaneously has been known for over two decades, the technique has only recently become clinically available as a result of the development of several effective parallel imaging reconstruction algorithms. Despite the success of these algorithms, it remains a challenge in many applications to rapidly and reliably reconstruct an image from partially-acquired general non-Cartesian k-space data. Such applications include, for example, three-dimensional (3D) imaging, functional MRI (fMRI), perfusion-weighted imaging, and diffusion tensor imaging (DTI), in which a large number of images have to be reconstructed. In this work, a systematic k-space-based reconstruction algorithm based on k-space sparse matrices (kSPA) is introduced. This algorithm formulates the image reconstruction problem as a system of sparse linear equations in k-space. The inversion of this system of equations is achieved by computing a sparse approximate inverse matrix. The algorithm is demonstrated using both simulated and in vivo data, and the resulting image quality is comparable to that of the iterative sensitivity encoding (SENSE) algorithm. The kSPA algorithm is noniterative and the computed sparse approximate inverse can be applied repetitively to reconstruct all subsequent images. This algorithm, therefore, is particularly suitable for the aforementioned applications.  相似文献

Neural stem cell (NSC) transplantation has been shown to attenuate the severity of experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE), an animal model of multiple sclerosis (MS). Central to the future success of NSC transplantation in MS is the ability of transplanted cells to migrate from the site of transplantation to relevant foci of disease. Using magnetically labeled mouse neurospheres and human embryonic stem cell (hESC)-derived neurospheres, we applied serial magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to assess the biodynamics of transplanted cell migration in a chronic mouse EAE model. Magnetic labeling did not affect the in vitro and in vivo characteristics of cells as multipotential precursors. Cell migration occurred along white matter (WM) tracts (especially the corpus callosum (CC), fimbria, and internal capsule), predominantly early in the acute phase of disease, and in an asymmetric manner. The distance of cell migration correlated well with clinical severity of disease and the number of microglia in the WM tracts, supporting the notion that inflammatory signals promote transplanted cell migration. This study shows for the first time that hESC-derived neural precursors also respond to tissue signals in an MS model, similarly to rodent cells. The results are directly relevant for designing and optimizing cell therapies for MS, and achieving a better understanding of in vivo cell dynamics and cell-tissue interactions.  相似文献

Standard imaging techniques using a curved linear array echoendocope are summarized to facilitate the attainment of expertise in endoscopic ultrasonography and endoscopic ultrasound‐guided fine needle aspiration, and to promote the widespread use of this diagnostic and therapeutic tool. Typical images of the mediastinal organs, the bilio‐pancreatic systems and neighboring organs by scanning from the esophagus, stomach, duodenal bulb, and descending portion of the duodenum, are shown in a sequential manner. The basic techniques of endoscopic ultrasound‐guided fine needle aspiration are also presented.  相似文献

A method for rapidly producing velocity images is presented. This sequence combines a modified bipolar gradient pulse to magnitude encode the velocity with the rotating ultra-fast imaging sequence (RUFIS) to image the encoded spins. Velocity encoding is done in 3 msec, and RUFIS acquires 32 projections in 8 msec. The method is applied to turbulent jets associated with a 75% stenosis in a 15-mm inner diameter glass pipe. Data is acquired upstream and downstream from the stenosis for Reynolds numbers from 560 to 3750. In addition, a robust method of reconstructing the unobserved short time region of a free induction decay is presented and incorporated into the image processing.  相似文献
