Summary The cerebrovascular consequences of the gentle restraint commonly used for the measurement of local cerebral blood flow (LCBF) in conscious rats has been tested by using two drugs, propranolol and diazepam. Propranolol induced small LCBF decreases in 7 structures suggesting that the cerebral circulation was partially controlled by the activation of intra or extracerebral aminergic pathways in this protocol. Sedative doses of diazepam reduced LCBF in most of the structures but anxiolytic doses increased it in 4 structures. This effect may be due to a regionally differentiated modification of activity in the brain due to the selective inhibition of limbic structures by diazepam. Since propranolol and diazepam induced only small changes, the LCBF of gently restrained rats appeared to be minimally affected by the stressful situation imposed by the protocol.  相似文献

Zusammenfassung Bei 80 Objekten werden die Gelenkflächen des menschlichen Ellenbogengelenks untersucht. Die Trochlea und das Capitulum humeri sowie das Caput radii zeigen keine nennenswerten Unterschiede in der Ausdehnung der mit typischem Gelenkknorpel bedeckten Flächen. Dagegen lassen sich für die Ulnazange drei charakteristische Formgruppen abgrenzen: In 3 Fällen kann eine einheitliche Knorpelfläche beobachtet werden. Bei etwa zwei Drittel der untersuchten Objekte liegt im mittleren Bereich der Incisura trochlearis in horizontaler Richtung ein 2–5 mm breiter knorpelfreier Streifen, der den Gelenkknorpel in 2 vollständig getrennte Flächen unterteilt. Das restliche Drittel der Objekte besitzt eine unvollständige Trennung der Gelenkfläche. Unter Berücksichtigung der Vorstellungen von Pauwels über die causale Histogenese der mesenchymalen Stützgewebe sowie der Materialverteilung im Knochengewebe in Abhängigkeit von der einwirkenden Spannungsgröße werden die morphologischen Befunde den für die jeweiligen Skeletelemente von Pauwels ermittelten Spannungsdiagrammen gegenübergestellt. An der Trochlea und dem Capitulum humeri und am Caput radii findet sich eine geradezu ideale Übereinstimmung in der Ausdehnung der Knorpelfläche und der Knochendichte unter den Gelenkflächen mit den entsprechenden Spannungsdiagrammen. An der Ulna trifft dies nur für einen geringen Teil der Objekte zu. Für die unterschiedliche Ausgestaltung der Incisura trochlearis werden zwei mögliche Ursachen diskutiert: 1. die Resultierende R verharre während des Bewegungsablaufes in einzelnen Positionen innerhalb der Incisura trochlearis verschieden lange; 2. der Krümmungsradius der Trochlea humeri sei größer als derjenige im mittleren Bereich der Ulnazange, so daß hier wegen des fehlenden Kontaktes der Gelenkflächen keine Druckübertragung möglich ist.
The stress of the human elbow jointI. Functional morphology of the articular surfaces
Summary The articular surfaces of 80 human elbow joints are analysed. The trochlea and capitulum humeri and the caput radii of the investigated individuals show no particular differences in the extent of their surfaces covered with typical articular cartilage. On the other hand the form of the incisura trochlearis is rather variable. Three characteristic formgroups are to be discerned. In three objects a continuous cartilage surface has been observed. In 50 of the investigated joints there is a small intersection free from cartilage in the midst of the incisura trochlearis, dividing the articular cartilage in two isolated surfaces. In the rest of the analysed objects the articular surface is divided only partially. According to Pauwels' hypothesis on the causal histogenesis of the mesenchymal supporting tissues and of the density distribution of the bone dependence upon the magnitude of the local unit stress the morphological findings in the single investigated parts of the elbow joint are confronted with the corresponding stress diagram as described by Pauwels. In the trochlea and capitulum humeri and in the caput radii a nearly ideal correspondence of the extent of the articular surface and the density of the bone tissue with the unit stress diagrams are found. In the ulna this correspondence exists only in few of the analysed objects. For the different form of the incisura trochlearis two possible explanations are discussed: 1, during the motion the resultant of forces may stay for a different time in their single positions in the incisura trochlearis; 2. the curvature radius of the trochlea humeri may be greater than that one of the incisura trochlearis in the central area. So no pressure occurs in this part of the articular surface.

This study examined the impact of perceived stress on responses to messages that encouraged the performance of health promotion and disease detection behaviors. It was hypothesized that increases in perceived stress would be associated with decreased processing of messages encouraging disease detection behaviors, and that increases in perceived stress would not effect the processing of messages encouraging health promotion behaviors. To test these hypotheses participants completed a perceived stress measure and then read a message that encouraged the performance of either a health promotion or a disease detection behavior. Then the participants were asked to indicate their agreement with the message and to attempt to recall the message. The results indicated that participants experiencing higher levels of perceived stress spent less time reading and recalled less of the messages about detection behaviors than of the messages about promotion behaviors. When participants were experiencing lower levels of perceived stress these differences disappeared.

To clarify the role of vasoactive intestinal polypeptide (VIP) and somatostatin, somatropin-release inhibiting factor, (SRIF) neurons in the response to organisms to noise or whole-body vibration stress, VIP and SRIF-like immunoreactivity were determined in various regions of the rat brain following exposure for 90 min to noise (broad band, 102 dB) or whole-body vibration (20 Hz, 4.0 g). Both noise and whole-body vibration significantly increased VIP-like immunoreactivity in the amygdala. A significant reduction of VIP like immunoreactivity in the hippocampus was induced only by whole-body vibration. On the other hand SRIF-like immunoreactivity was decreased significantly in the hypothalamus and increased significantly in the amygdala by noise and whole-body vibration, respectively. The present findings would seem to indicate that the amygdalofugal VIP neural system is involved in regulating hypothalamic and pituitary hormone secretions in non-specific reactions to stress. Responses of hippocampal VIP and the amygdalofugal SRIF to whole-body vibration stress are assumed to be activated as specific reactions to the stress.  相似文献

The predictability of individual differences in activation processes was investigated in a multi-method laboratory-field study. Male students of physical education (N=58) were examined under various emotionally activating and physically demanding conditions (mental arithmetic, reaction time, free speech, cold pressor test, bicycle ergometer). The assessment included multi-channel recordings of pre-start phases in an athletic stadium and performance on a 1000 m run. Basal heart rate was also recorded during sleep. This multi-situational assessment was repeated after three weeks, three months, and, for most (N=42) subjects, after one year. Significant relationships exist between scores from corresponding conditions of relaxation, anticipation, and performance of physical exercise. However, with the exception of heart rate, correlation coefficients are rather small and seem to be of questionable predictive validity. A generalizability study further supports the general conclusion: To increase the practical relevance in psychophysiological investigations of stress/strain phenomena, such studies should directly assess individual differences in the criterion situations themselves.  相似文献

We examined the long term predictivity of heart rate reactivity (HRR) and its relation to cardiovascular and biochemical activity during rest and during tasks requiring active and passive coping. HRR was determined in 28 young men by measuring peak heart rate change to cold pressor one year after performing tasks eliciting active and passive coping. Heart rate change to cold pressor was significantly correlated with change to active coping (r= .65, p<.01) and to passive coping (r= .53, p<.01). Responses to the tasks were equivalent for Type A and B subjects. On the other hand, high HRRs were significantly more reactive than low HRRs with the effect being most apparent during active coping. HRR appeared to be a trait stable over one year which predicted enhanced cardiac, neuroendocrine, and neuromuscular response.  相似文献

目的:探讨运动训练对慢性应激大鼠β-内啡肽(β-EP)分泌的变化。方法:对大鼠进行为期8周的不同负荷运动训练,并在运动训练后期给予3周的冷刺激,测定大鼠下丘脑和血清中β-EP的含量。结果:(1)经过3周的冷应激后,大鼠产生显著的身心变化,下丘脑和血清β-EP的含量均显著升高,从而表明冷应激可使机体β-ED的合成和释放增多。(2)经过8周的运动训练后,大鼠下丘脑β-EP含量显著升高,血清β-EP含量显著下降;而对运动训练的大鼠施加冷刺激后,大鼠下丘脑和血清中β-EP含量显著低于应激组,以中等负荷运动训练组最为明显。结论:运动训练可以减少内源性β-EP的释放,有效对抗大鼠机体对冷刺激产生的应激反应,维持机体在应激状态下内分泌功能的稳定。  相似文献

目的对人体在行走时身体发生扭曲、跌倒等情况下股骨可能发生在弯矩和压力复合荷载作用下的受力问题进行研究,为人工股骨头置换的设计和手术提供指导。方法应用大型通用有限元软件ANSYS进行受力分析,根据人体股骨的实际尺寸,采用plate42单元建立平面模型,将股骨头传递的关节力的作用点向外偏移为0mm、5mm、10mm、15mm,模拟股骨头受弯矩作用的情况下股骨应力分布。结果得出了在弯压复合荷载下股骨的变形、应力云图、股骨颈和股骨干上端的截面应力。结论股骨颈存在较大的应力集中现象,股骨颈外侧承受较大的拉应力,股骨颈内侧承受较大的压应力,股骨干在垂直方向上外侧为拉应力,内侧为压应力。随着弯矩的增加股骨的应力有明显增加。  相似文献
