Single fiber electromyography of extraocular muscles: A sensitive method for the diagnosis of ocular myasthenia gravis

We performed single fiber electromyography (SFEMG) in the superior rectus and levator palpebralis (SR-LP) muscles of 17 patients with pure ocular myasthenia gravis (MG) and 9 controls. Thirteen patients were also assessed with SFEMG in the orbicularis oculi (OO) muscle. All the MG patients but none of the control subjects showed abnormal SFEMG jitter in the SR-LP muscles. On the other hand, only 62% of the MG patients had abnormal SFEMG jitter in the OO muscle. The procedure was well tolerated by the patients, and complications were minor. We conclude that SFEMG of the SR–LP muscles is a safe and highly sensitive technique for the diagnosis of ocular MG. © 1995 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.     

磺化聚乙烯中空纤维膜渗透蒸发分离水／乙二醇混合物的研究

采用异相氯磺化的方法，使聚乙烯（ＰＥ）中空纤维膜进行氯磺化反应，并将反应产物进一步水解和离子交换，可获得具有离子交换功能的磺化聚乙烯（ＳＰＥ）中空纤维离子交换膜。应用渗透蒸发膜分离方法，研究磺化聚乙烯中空纤维离子交换膜对水／乙二醇混合物的分离效果。讨论了反离子的种类、渗透蒸发分离温度和水／乙二醇混合液的组成等对磺化聚乙烯中空纤维离子交换膜的分离效果的影响。     

Expression of collagen and elastic fibers in duct-ligated submandibular glands of mice

Atrophy of salivary glands may occur by ductal obstruction caused by calculus, infection or neoplastic processes, or as consequence of systemic diseases and aging. In the present work, we have used histochemical methods to study the expression of elastic and collagen fibers during experimental atrophy of the submandibular gland of mice. Glandular atrophy was accompanied by a rapid increase in collagen deposition in both septal and intralobular regions. The expression of elastic fibers was not significantly altered during atrophy; a discrete increase of elastic fibers was noted only around ductal structures. The results showed that experimental ductal obstruction is a useful in vivo model to study molecular events that take part in the remodeling of the extracellular matrix during atrophy of salivary glands.     

3种桩核系统修复喇叭形根管的抗折性比较

目的 :比较 3种桩核系统修复喇叭形根管的牙根修复后的抗折性及其折断模式。方法 :30个完整的上颌中切牙 ,在根管治疗后 ,沿釉牙骨质界弧形顶点冠方 2mm切除牙冠 ,将根管上 1/3敞开形成喇叭形根管 ,样本随机分成 3组 :A组 ,铸造桩核金属全冠修复 ;B组 ,玻璃纤维树脂核全冠修复 ;C组 ,成品不锈钢平行螺纹桩树脂核全冠修复。样本固定于MTS810测试机上 ,与牙体长轴呈 135°加载 ,测试折断强度并观察折断模式。结果采用方差分析。结果 :铸造桩核修复抗折强度最高 [(76 3.86± 86 .38)N],其次是成品螺纹桩树脂核修复 [(6 19.91± 118.89)N],玻璃纤维树脂核组最小 [(40 5 .5 4± 111.86 )N],统计学分析差异具有显著性。结论 :铸造桩核树脂核修复后抗折强度最高 ,玻璃纤维树脂核修复最低 ,但后者折断模式最有利于重新修复 ,而前者通常无法再行修复。     

Effects of ageing on the total number of muscle fibers and motoneurons of the tibialis anterior and soleus muscles in the rat

The age-related changes in the total number of muscle fibers and motoneurons of the tibialis anterior and soleus muscles were studied using 10-, 65-, and 135-week-old rats. The number of fast twitch muscle fibers was decreased at age 65 weeks, while the numbers of slow twitch fibers and of alpha motoneurons were decreased only later, at age 135 weeks. Therefore, the degenerative process of muscle fibers differs with the fiber type.     

The 12‐Lead ECG in Patients with Mahaim Fibers

The aim of this review article is to discuss the electrocardiographic presentation of the so called variants of pre‐excitation (“Mahaim fibers”) during sinus rhythm and tachycardia.     

玻璃纤维表面的乙烯基单体接枝聚合

用玻璃纤维表面处理剂ＭＡＣ处理玻璃纤维后，再进行臭氧处理，使玻璃纤维的表面产生活性中心，引发苯乙烯、甲基丙烯酸甲酯、及丙烯酸等乙烯基单体在玻璃纤维表面上接枝聚合。接枝纤维的密度减小，对水的浸润性下降，红外光谱及扫描电镜观察证明玻璃纤维表面上接枝聚合物的存在。     

Preexcitation in Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy: A Case of a Fasciculoventricular Mahaim Fiber

STELLBRINK, C., et al .: Preexcitation in Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy: A Case of a Fasciculoventricular Mahaim Fiber . A patient with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) who presented with preexcitation pattern on the surface ECG suggestive of the Wolff-Parkinson-White (WPW) syndrome is described. Intracardiac electrophysiological study revealed a fixed anomalous QRS complex and a short fixed His-ventricular interval indicating a fasciculoventricular Mahaim fiber. As this specific form of accessory connection does not cause reentrant tachycardias, no treatment was required. It is important to distinguish this entity from atriofascicular or nodoventricular Mahaim fibers or the WPW syndrome in patients with HCM showing a preexcitation pattern in the surface ECG, as these may cause life-threatening arrhythmias in this patient population.     

复合膳食纤维对大鼠体内脂质过氧化作用的影响

制备复合膳食纤维 (dietaryfiber,DF) ,并分别探讨复合、混合及三种单一的DF对高脂血症大鼠体内脂质过氧化作用的影响。选健康、断乳Wistar大鼠 6 4只 ,按体重随机分为 8组 ,用高脂饲料诱发高脂血症的同时 ,分别添加 10 %的DF :纤维素 (B组 )、果胶 (C组 )、海藻酸钠 (D组 )、纤维素 -果胶复合物 (E组 )、纤维素 -海藻酸钠复合物 (F组 )、纤维素 -果胶混合物 (G组 )、纤维素 -海藻酸钠混合物 (H组 ) ,以单纯的高脂饲料组为对照组 (A组 ) ,观察各种DF对大鼠的生长发育及脂质过氧化作用的影响。结果显示 :1、添加 10 %的各种DF不影响大鼠的生长发育。 2、各种DF皆可显著升高血清超氧化物歧化酶 (SOD) (P <0 0 1)、谷胱甘肽过氧化物酶 (GSH Px)活性 (P <0 0 1) ,降低丙二醛 (MDA)水平 (P <0 0 5 ,B、D组除外 ) ,提高红细胞膜的流动性 (P <0 0 5 ) ,以复合物、混合物效果为明显。 3、各种DF可不同程度地增加粪重和粪脂排出量 (P <0 0 5 ,D组除外 ) ,以复合物、混合物为明显。提示各种DF皆可不同程度地降低大鼠体内脂质过氧化作用 ,提高红细胞膜的流动性 ,其中可溶性DF效果优于不可溶性DF ,而复合、混合DF的效果又优于单一的DF ,且以复合物效果为佳     

磷酸化肌球蛋白轻链及其激酶在耐药颞叶癫(癎)患者脑组织中的表达

目的探讨耐药性癫癎颞叶和海马脑组织中磷酸化肌球蛋白轻链(phosphorylation of myosin light chain,P-MLC)及其激酶(myosin light chain kinase,MLCK)的表达在癫癎芽生形成中的作用。方法免疫组化检测32例耐药性颞叶癫癎中P-MLC及其激酶MLCK的蛋白质表达水平,并与对照组比较。结果P-MLC免疫组化结果显示,耐药性颞叶癫癎组颞叶光密度值(0.35±0.13)高于对照组(0.19±0.027,P<0.05);耐药组海马光密度值(0.41±0.02)高于对照组(0.10±0.06,P<0.05)。免疫组化结果显示耐药组的MLCK表达水平在颞叶组织和海马组织中较对照组无统计学差异(P>0.05)。结论P-MLC及其激酶MLCK的功能与苔藓纤维芽生关系密切,P-MLC蛋白质产物在耐药性癫中明显升高,但其磷酸化激酶MLCK的表达并不升高,提示MLCK和去磷酸化酶间动态平衡被打破是P-MLC升高的原因,而P-MLC的升高可能在苔藓纤维芽生的形成中发挥重要作用。
