Abstract Two new sesquiterpenoids, 4,5-epoxy-13-methoxy-1(10)-germacren-12,6-olide and 4,5-epoxy-13-acetoxy-1(10)-germacren-12,6-olide, were isolated from the leaves of Magnolia grandiflora, together with six known compounds, 2α-hydroxy-dihydroparthenolide, parthenolide, costunolide, syringaresinol, (+) medioresinol and 6,7-dimethoxycoumarin. The phytoconstituents of essential oil and ethanol oleoresin of fresh and dry rhizomes of turmeric (Curcuma longa Linn.) were analyzed by GC–MS. The major constituents were aromatic-turmerone (24.4%), alpha-turmerone (20.5%) and beta-turmerone (11.1%) in fresh rhizome and aromatic-turmerone (21.4%), alpha-santalene (7.2%) and aromatic-curcumene (6.6%) in dry rhizome oil. Whereas, in oleoresins, the major components were alpha-turmerone (53.4%), beta-turmerone (18.1%) and aromatic-turmerone (6.2%) in fresh and aromatic-turmerone (9.6%), alpha-santalene (7.8%) and alpha-turmerone (6.5%) in dry rhizome. Results showed that alpha-turmerone, a major component in fresh rhizomes is only minor one in dry rhizomes. Also, the content of beta-turmerone in dry rhizomes is less than a half amount found in fresh rhizomes. The antioxidant properties have been assessed by various lipid peroxidation assays as well as DPPH radical scavenging and metal chelating methods. The essential oil and ethanol oleoresin of fresh rhizomes have higher antioxidant properties as compared dry ones. 相似文献

目的 研究越南安息香(白花树Styrax tonkinensis的干燥树脂)的化学成分及其细胞毒活性。方法 采用MCI gel CHP-20P、硅胶、Sephadex LH-20柱色谱、快速制备色谱和制备HPLC等技术进行分离和纯化,通过IR、1D-和2D-NMR、HR-ESI-MS等谱学数据分析确定化合物的结构。通过CCK-8法评价了化合物的细胞毒性。结果 从越南安息香提取物中分离得到6个化合物,分别鉴定为(E)-3-[3-甲氧基-4-(3-乙氧基-2-氧代乙氧基)苯基]烯丙基苯甲酸酯(1)、2-(4-羟基-3-甲氧基苯基)-5-(3-羟丙基)-7-甲氧基苯并呋喃(2)、(+)-雪松素(3)、(+)-松脂素(4)、松脂素单甲醚(5)和安息香脂素(6)。以上6个化合物对人宫颈癌HeLa细胞株、人肝癌HepG-2细胞株、人乳腺癌MCF细胞株、人前列腺癌PC-3细胞株以及人肺癌A549细胞株的半数抑制浓度值均大于100 μmol/L。结论 化合物1为未见报道的新苯丙素类化合物,命名为白花树酯醚,化合物2~6为首次从越南安息香中分离得到。化合物1~6均未表现出明显的细胞毒活性。 相似文献

Objective: Clitoria ternatea is a well-known bioactive plant used to treat several inflammatory ailments in Ayurvedic system of medicine in India. The present investigation aimed to determine the anti-inflammatory and anti-arthritic activity of ethanolic extract of Clitoria ternatea roots (EECT) in animal models. Methods: The anti-inflammatory activity of the EECT was evaluated by carrageenan and histamine-induced paw edema. Results: EECT showed a significant reduction in mean paw edema volume in both carrageenan and histamine-induced inflammation. The efficacy of EECT in rheumatoid arthritis was tested against Freund’s complete adjuvant (CFA) induced arthritic models in Wistar rats. The anti-arthritic effect of EECT was determined by systematic scoring of arthritis symptoms and measuring paw edema. A considerable decrease in paw diameter was observed in the EECT (200 and 400 mg/kg) and diclofenac (10 mg/kg) treated groups after day 7. Diclofenac (10 mg/kg) and EECT (400 mg/kg) showed a significant reduction in paw diameter from day 14 compared with CFA control (P < 0.001). The anti-arthritic activity was also confirmed from the altered biochemical, haematological (Hb, RBC and WBC) and anti-oxidant parameters (SOD, MDA, CAT, and GSH). EECT (400 and 200 mg/kg) also showed a marked inhibition of joint destruction.
