Summary Two experiments were carried out to compare the cardiorespiratory and metabolic effects of cross-country skiing and running training during two successive winters. Forty-year-old men were randomly assigned into skiing (n = 15 in study 1,n = 16 in study 2), running (n = 16 in study 1 andn = 16 in study 2) and control (n = 17 in study 1 andn = 16 in study 2) groups. Three subjects dropped out of the programme. The training lasted 9–10 weeks with 40-min exercise sessions three times each week. The training intensity was controlled at 75%–85% of the maximal oxygen consumption (VO2max) using portable heart rate metres and the mean heart rate was 156–157 beats·min–1 in the training groups. In the pooled data of the two studies the mean increase in theVO2max (in ml·min–1·kg–1) on a cycle ergometer was 17% for the skiing group, 13% for the running group and 2% for the control group. The increase inVO2max was highly significant in the combined exercise group compared to the control group but did not differ significantly between the skiing and running groups. The fasting serum concentrations of lipoproteins and insulin did not change significantly in any of the groups. These results suggested that training by cross-country skiing and running of the same duration and intensity at each session for 9–10 weeks improved equally the cardiorespiratory fitness of untrained middle-aged men.  相似文献

目的 跟腱断裂术后制动弊端多 ,而早期功能锻炼优点明确 ,探讨各种缝合材料在打结后材料力学特性及滑结情况 ,为临床创新设计 ,术后无须制动的缝合组合提供依据。方法 将不同型号薇乔线 (CV)、慕丝线 (Mersilk)、攀状尼龙线 (Nylon)、普迪思 (PDS)各 1 6条剪断后各打 4个结 ,进行材料力学特性测试。结果 缝合材料的最大载荷、刚度、强度、比能分别为 :PDS >CV >Nylon >Mersilk(P <0 .0 5 )。结论 尽管PDS肌腱缝合线易滑结 ,但 1 0 -PDS ,1 0 -CV、1 0Nylon作端对端跟腱修复强度足够 ,相应 5 0PDS、5 0CV缝合材料作腱周修复也可选择 ,且打 4个以上结可靠。尽管Mersilk不易滑结 ,但不适合跟腱修复。不过好的缝合材料应选择最佳的缝合方法才更有临床意义  相似文献

目的了解牛骨材料及其构件的力学强度[抗拉、抗压、抗折(弯曲)和抗扭(剪切)强度].方法将材料分为天然、处理和构件(即产品)三组并制成标准试件,用规定设备按标准方法进行检测.结果(1)牦牛股骨拉伸、压缩、抗折、扭转极限应力分别为106.35±3.45、127.60±2.65、225.9±4.1、53.45±1.55(MPa),胫骨拉伸、压缩、抗折、扭转极限应力分别为114.96±1.46、184.75±3.25、211.35±2.45、51.9±0.5(MPa).湖区水牛胫骨拉伸、压缩、抗折、扭转极限应力分别为1 28.1±11、195.8±9.4、167.4±1 2.7、54.25±0.75(MPa).(2)E0气薰灭菌对牛骨材料的力学性能无明显影响,幅照灭菌对牛骨材料的力学性能稍有影响.(3)处理后,牛骨螺钉、圆钉的抗折强度较材料有所降低,而抗拉强度、抗压强度、抗扭强度变化不大.结论牛骨是一种力学性能良好,适合制作内固定构件的高强度生物材料.  相似文献

The biodegradation of different porous β-whitlockite materials are studied by in vivo experiments, radiographie follow-ups and light microscopy observations. The materials were implanted in rabbit tibiae for 16 mnth. Micropores play an important role in the biodegradation rate. The resorbing materials evoke an inflammation with plasma cells. The resorption starts in the medulla, and the phagocytosed particles are removed to the lymph nodes. Normal bone function can be restored after all the implant material is resulted.  相似文献

一体化假肢是以聚合物为材料从接受腔到假腿一体成型的新型下肢假肢,它比传统型假肢更经济、美观、轻便,具有较大的应用前景。目前的相关研究主要集中在设计与制作及少量的临床研究方面。由于一体化假肢与传统型假肢在结构上的差异,有必要对其进行应力分析。本研究的目的是开展内骨架一体化假肢的生物力学研究,本研究基于内骨架一体化小腿假肢的真实几何构型,建立三维有限元模型,计算该模型在模拟Heel OH步态时相的载荷作用下的应力分布;在保持该模型的几何形状不变的情况下,建立了三个不同壁面厚度的一体化小腿假肢的有限元模型,分析壁面厚度对一体化小腿假肢应力分布的影响;通过分别赋予模型四种不同高分子聚合物的材料力学特性值,分析不同材料的一体化假肢的应力分布特点;分别对模型施加与正常步态的五个典型时相对应的载荷,分析一体化小腿假肢在各步态时相的应力分布特点。本研究结果对一体化假肢设计有指导价值。  相似文献

Summary In this study we attempted to determine the effects of exercise training at the intensity corresponding to lactate threshold (Thla ) on various health-related variables in sedentary but apparently healthy elderly subjects. Six men and five women volunteers [mean age 68.9 (SD 3.4) years] performed supervised endurance-type training on stationary cycle ergometers for 30 min and recreational activities for 30 min, 3 days a week for 12 weeks. Four men and four women served as the control group [68.8 (SD 4.4) years]. As a result of the training programme, statistically significant increases in maximal oxygen consumption (10%), oxygen consumption at Thla (18%), distance covered in 12-min walk, side step, and leg extensor power were found in the training group, while no changes occurred in the control group. The changes in serum cholesterol and triglyceride concentrations from the pre- to post-training period were statistically significant. High-density lipoprotein cholesterol remained unchanged, and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol tended to decrease following the training programme. These data would indicate that exercise training at the intensity corresponding to Thla may have favourable effects on overall physical fitness and some serum lipid variables in older individuals.  相似文献

Pathology, microbiology, blood bank and other diagnostic laboratories generate sizable amount of biomedical waste (BMW). The audit of the BMW is required for planning proper strategies. The audit in our laboratory revealed 8 kgs anatomical waste, 600 kgs microbiology waste, 220 kgs waste sharps, 15 kgs soiled waste, 111 kgs solid waste, 480 litres liquid waste along with 33,000 litres per month liquid waste generated from labware washing and laboratory cleaning and 162 litres of chemical waste per month. Section wise details are described in the text. Needle sharps are collected in puncture proof containers and the needles autoclaved before sending to needle pit. The glass forms the major sharp category and is disinfected with hypochlorite before washing/recycling. All microbiology waste along with containers/plates/tubes are autoclaved before recycling/disposal. The problem of formalin fixed anatomical waste as histology specimens is pointed out. The formalin containing tissues cannot be sent for incineration for the fear of toxic gas release and the guidelines by the Biomedical waste rule makers need to be amended for the issue. The discarded/infected blood units in blood bank need to be autoclaved before disposal since chemical treatments are difficult or inefficient. The liquid waste management needs more attention and effluent treatment facility needs to be viewed seriously for hospital in general. The segregation of waste at source is the key step and reduction, reuse and recycling should be considered in proper perspectives.  相似文献

This study investigated the effects of 12 weeks of aerobic exercise plus voluntary food restriction on the body composition, resting metabolic rate (RMR) and aerobic fitness of mildly obese middle-aged women. The subjects were randomly assigned to exercise/diet (n = 17) or control (n = 15) groups. The exercise/diet group participated in an aerobic training programme, 45–60 min · day –1 at 50%–60% of maximal oxygen uptake (VO2max), 3–4 days · week–1, and also adopted a self-regulated energy deficit relative to predicted energy requirements (–1.05 MJ · day –1 to –1.14 MJ · day –1 ). After the regimen had been followed for 12 weeks, the body mass of the subjects had decreased by an average of 4.5 kg, due mainly to fat loss, with little change of fat free mass (m ff). The absolute RMR did not change, but the experimental group showed significant increases in the RMR per unit of body mass (10%) and the RMR per unit of m ff (4%). The increase in RMR/m ff was not correlated with any increase in VO2max/m ff. The resting heat production per unit of essential body mass increased by an average of 21%, but the resting heat production rate per unit of fat tissue mass remained unchanged. We concluded that aerobic exercise enhances the effect of moderate dietary restriction by augmenting the metabolic activity of lean tissue.  相似文献
