Acute subcortical stroke and early serotonergic modification: a IDAP study

The intensity dependence of the auditory-evoked potentials (IDAP) is inversely related to serotonergic tone. Depression is frequently observed after stroke, associated with cognitive impairment and increased mortality. Aim of this study was to investigate the serotonergic tone in acute stroke patients by IDAP. Consecutive patients with an acute stroke admitted in our stroke unit were evaluated using clinical and instrumental examinations and compared with healthy controls. The IDAP was calculated as the linear amplitude/stimulus intensity function (ASF) slope, by measuring the peak-to-peak amplitude of Nl-P2 on four blocks of different stimulus intensities. Twenty patients were enrolled; 11 had a right brain infarction; nine had depressive symptoms (DS). The ASF slope of the auditory-evoked potentials was markedly increased in stroke patients compared with controls ( P  = 0.021). Stroke patients with DS had a significant steeper ASF slope than controls ( P  = 0.017). There was no statistical difference in ASF slope between stroke patients without DS and controls. Post-stroke depression pathophysiology is still debated. Our study suggests that in acute stroke patients with DS, there is a direct involvement of the serotonergic system, regardless the degree of disability and the site of the lesion.     

口外弓配合唇档远移磨牙的临床研究

目的:研究口外弓配合唇档远移磨牙的临床应用及其疗效。方法:选择15例恒牙早期上颌轻度牙性前突或轻、中度拥挤的安氏II类患者,应用口外弓配合唇档,通过X线头影测量观察其上颌磨牙及前牙治疗前后变化情况。结果:应用口外弓配合唇档推磨牙向远中3～6个月后,II类咬合关系恢复至安氏I类关系。上颌第一磨牙向远中平均移动4.14mm,上颌中切牙向唇侧移动0.66mm。结论:只要病例选择合适,方法运用得当,口外弓配合唇档就能获得较满意的远移磨牙的疗效。     

绞股蓝多甙对家兔脂质代谢的影响

绞股蓝多甙１００ｍｇ／ｋｇ·ｄ－１×４ｗｋ灌胃给药，观察结果表明该物具有降低实验性高脂血症家兔的血脂水平及血清过氧化脂质、心肌褐脂质含量的作用。     

Intrauterine position affects motoneuron number and muscle size in a sexually dimorphic neuromuscular system

The intrauterine position occupied by a rodent fetus influences the amount of testosterone to which it is exposed before birth. Animals that are gestated between two male fetuses (2M) are exposed to higher circulating levels of testosterone than are animals positioned between two female fetuses (2F) and there are reliable differences in the reproductive physiology and behavior of 2M and 2F animals when adult. To determine whether intrauterine position modifies development of the central nervous system, we examined the sexually dimorphic spinal nucleus of the bulbocavernosus (SNB) in male and female gerbils from known intrauterine positions. We found that adult 2M female gerbils had 16% more SNB motoneurons than did 2F females. 2M males did not differ from 2F males in SNB motoneuron number, but the bulbocavernosus muscle, which is innervated by SNB motoneurons, was approximately 50% larger in 2M than in 2F males. These data indicate that intrauterine position can influence the morphology of the sexually dimorphic SNB neuromuscular system.     

The Post Therapy Breast

Both systemic and local therapy, for conditions of the breast and unrelated to it, may produce manuno-graphic changes. Some of these are characteristic, such as the pattern of scarring seen in reduction mammo-plasty. In many other instances, however, the changes produced overlap features commonly seen in malignancy. A knowledge of the timing, natural history and spectrum of these changes will aid mammographic interpretation.     

Long-term results of open reduction for residual subluxation in congenital dislocation of the hip: A new open reduction method involving 360° circumferential capsulotomy

We report satisfactory results with a new operative treatment, conducted via an extensive anterolateral approach, involving 360 degree circumferential capsulotomy, for residual subluxation in congenital dislocation of the hip (CDH). Long-term radiographic results of this procedure (group A) were compared retrospectively with the results of partial capsulotomy (group B), which preserved the posteroinferior joint capsule. The mean center edge angle in group A (22.5°) was greater than that in group B (16.0°). Satisfactory results were achieved in 11 of 15 hips (73%) (Severin class I or II) in group A, and in 5 of 12 hips (42%) in group B. These results suggest that whole circumferential capsulotomy can remove obstacles to complete reduction, and that acetabular development can be expected in hips reduced by the procedure, without the performance of innominate osteotomy. We believe that our technique is a useful alternative for the treatment of residual subluxation in CDH.     

九洲港货运港区的鼠密度调查、及灭鼠效果观察

本文报道了1995年春对九洲港货运港区的鼠密度和灭鼠效果调查，结果鼠密度投药后(4．1％)比投药前(24．6％)有明显下降，灭鼠率达83．3％；根据九洲港货运港区鼠患情况，提出防鼠灭鼠建议。     

536例大肠癌误诊误治分析

大肠癌误诊误治较为普通。从总结经验教训出发，本文对确诊前曾发生过误诊误治的５３６例大肠癌进行详尽的分析。本组病例５３６例，曾７１９次先后被误诊为３２种疾病，其中误诊为“痔”“痢疾”“肠炎”“肠梗阻”等最为常见，误诊为其它疾病也时有发生，严重的影响其预后。在误诊原因上，除病人自误外，与医生责任心不强，询问病史不细，本行或未认真行有关检查，特别是直肠指诊检查和结肠内窥镜检查是分不开的。文章就今后如何减少误诊，提高早期诊断率，提出了５点措施，强调了直肠指诊和结肠内窥镜检查的重要价值。     

尺骨鹰嘴骨折皮质骨加压螺钉固定的实验研究及临床应用

比较尺骨鹰嘴骨折加压螺钉与常用的4种内固定的强度,为临床选择内固定方法提供实验依据。用22具新鲜尸体肘关节做成横型、斜形和粉碎形鹰嘴骨折模型。用5种内固定后置于MD—10E万能电子力学试验机上,测定骨折处的位移与压力的关系;结果:钢丝内固定强度最小,钩钢板最大。髓内加压螺钉固定欠可靠。横形骨折皮质骨加压螺钉与张力带钢丝比较,统计学上无显著差异(P〉0.05),斜形骨折皮质骨加压螺丝钉强于张力带钢丝(P〈0.01)。粉碎形骨折使用钩钢板尤佳(P〈0.01)。临床应用24例中,22例平均随访14个月。骨折全部愈合,优良率达90.91％;认为皮质骨加压螺丝钉治疗横、斜形尺骨鹰嘴骨折,创伤小,操作简便,固定确切,是一种安全可靠的方法。     

旋股外侧动脉的应用解剖学研究

本文在25例(50侧)胎尸标本上对旋股外侧动脉分布、分支类型、管径及其临床应用解剖进行了详细的观察和讨论分析。以期对临床应用有所帮助。
