IntroductionGood communication by health professionals is associated with better patient outcomes. The Program to Enhance Relational and Communication Skills (PERCS) has been adapted to other cultures. The objective of this study is to describe the effectiveness of the Spanish version of the PERCS program, from the perspective of the participants, at the end of the course and 6 months after the course.MethodsA process of cultural and epidemiological adaptation of the PERCS program to the reality of Peru was carried out. A qualitative and quantitative approach was used to evaluate the educational impact of the program.ResultsThirty-nine professionals participated voluntarily. Participants found it more difficult to communicate ominous diagnoses (48.15%). Anxiety is the most frequent emotion when faced with difficult communications (77.78%). Almost all (92%) stated that the course improved their preparation, and 88.9% that it reduced their anxiety. At 6 months, participants recognised the importance of honesty and empathy, as well as some steps in conducting the patient-centred interview.DiscussionAn intensive training program in difficult communication can be adapted to Spanish, and positively impact the skills, self-confidence, and self-perception of learning in Peruvian professionals, in relation to promoting communication focused on the needs of the patient and family.  相似文献

Objective. To assess the impact of high-fidelity patient simulation on pharmacy resident knowledge, confidence, and competency with advanced resuscitation algorithms and interventions.Design. An overview of the institutional cardiopulmonary arrest algorithm and a review of pertinent medications and calculations were presented to postgraduate year 1 (PGY1) pharmacy residents, followed by participation in 3 simulated clinical scenarios using a high-fidelity mannequin.Assessment. An improvement of pharmacy resident knowledge, confidence, and competency with advanced resuscitation skills was observed. In addition, pharmacy residents demonstrated high performance levels with skills requiring advanced competency and proactive interactions with the cardiac arrest team.Conclusion. Incorporating high-fidelity patient simulation into an advanced resuscitation training program can help pharmacy residents achieve competency through the active learning of practical skills.  相似文献

??Abstract??Objective To make doctor perform operation accurately on patients with dentomaxillofacial deformity by preoperative simulation based on digital data which was collected by digital software. Methods Fifteen patients had previously undergone 3-dimensional computed tomography and the data from CT scan were input into digital software. We used the software to simulate operations preoperatively including fixing point??osteotomies and movements of jaw bones. The collected information from software was applied to actual operations. Results All the operations had been completed successfully without serious complication. The patients were satisfied with the effect of operation 6 months after operation??with a satisfaction rate of 93.3%. Conclusion The digital simulation technique is a precise method which provides practical and effective basis for establishing the preoperative planning of individual optimal surgical procedure for patients with dentomaxillofacial deformities in orthognathic surgery.  相似文献

目的探讨情景模拟教学法对急诊科低年资护士基础生命支持培训的实践效果和应用体会。方法应用情景模拟教学法对我科24名N0、N1级护理人员进行理论和操作培训,培训结束后予以考核。并对培训前后急诊临床教学质量及各级医护人员的满意度进行评价。结果自实行情景模拟教学法培训以来,护理人员的心肺复苏考核成绩较前有较大提升(P0.01);各级医护人员的满意度均有所提高,受训护士自身满意度与情景模拟教学培训前比较,差异有统计学意义(P0.05)。结论情景模拟教学因材施教,效果显著,增进了急诊科教学效果,提高了急诊教学满意度。  相似文献

The surgical anatomy of the pelvis is highly complex. Anorectal and urogenital dysfunctions occur frequently after pelvic oncological surgery and are mainly caused by surgical damage of the autonomic nerves. A highly‐detailed 3D pelvic model could increase the anatomical knowledge and form a solid basis for a surgical simulation system. Currently, pelvic surgeons still rely on the preoperative interpretation of 2D diagnostic images. With a 3D simulation system, pelvic surgeons could simulate and train different scenes to enhance their preoperative knowledge and improve surgical outcome. To substantially enrich pelvic surgery and anatomical education, such a system must provide insight into the relation between the autonomic network, the lymphatic system, and endopelvic fasciae. Besides CT and MR images, Visible Human Datasets (VHDs) are widely used for 3D modeling, due to the high degree of anatomical detail represented in the cryosectional images. However, key surgical structures cannot be fully identified using VHDs and radiologic imaging techniques alone. Several unsolved anatomical problems must be elucidated as well. Therefore, adequate analysis on a microscopic level is inevitable. The development of a comprehensive anatomical atlas of the pelvis is no straightforward task. Such an endeavor involves several anatomical and technical challenges. This article surveys all existing 3D pelvic models, focusing on the level of anatomical detail.
