目的了解建瓯市并殖吸虫及媒介宿主的种类与感染情况。方法在调查点捕捉各种螺类与蟹类,检查其所携带的并殖吸虫并计算感染率。结果发现可充当并殖吸虫第一中间宿主的螺类有放逸短沟蜷、福建拟钉螺、建瓯洱海螺、小桥拟钉螺,其感染率分别为0、0.15%、0.42%与0.15%。充当并殖吸虫第二中间宿主的溪蟹有福建华溪蟹、福建马来溪蟹、角肢南海溪蟹,其感染率分别为46.60%、14.29%与12.50%。并殖吸虫虫种有卫氏并殖吸虫、斯氏狸殖吸虫、泡囊狸殖吸虫3种。其中,泡囊狸殖吸虫为新发现虫种。结论建瓯市并殖吸虫及媒介宿主物种资源丰富,为全省开展并殖吸虫病的调查和研究工作提供了病原线索。  相似文献

Choriocarcinoma has been described as the most frequent subtype of mediastinal germ cell tumors showing trophoblastic differentiation. We report a unique case of a placental site trophoblastic tumor, which developed in the mediastinum of a 14-year-old boy 2 years after the resection of a mature teratoma. The recurrent tumor was composed of a grossly hemorrhagic and necrotic mass. Histologically, diffusely infiltrating large polygonal cells with focal nodular growth and a teratomatous part containing mature intestinal, respiratory, and squamous epithelium with adjacent cutaneous adnexal structures were found. The typical morphologic features included vessel wall infiltration by the neoplastic cells with fibrinoid deposits and geographic necroses within the tumor masses. Characteristic diffuse positivity for melanoma cell adhesion molecule and human leucocyte antigen G was found on immunohistochemical investigation, confirming the diagnosis of placental site trophoblastic tumor. The patient died 1 year later after polychemotherapy. The outcome of this rare tumor is similar to the reported poor clinical outcome in patients with mediastinal choriocarcinomas.  相似文献

Fluorescencein situ hybridization (FISH) was used to determine the breakpoint of the translocation chromosome in two bread wheat (Triticum aestivum) germplasm lines withThinopyrum intermedium chromatin carrying resistance to either wheat streak mosaic virus (WSMV) or barley yellow dwarf virus (BYDV). In addition, genome-specific random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) markers were used to ascertain the genomic sources of theTh. intermedium chromosomes carrying the WSMV or BYDV resistance. CI17766, a WSMV-resistant wheat germplasm line derived from induced homoeologous pairing by using theph1b mutant, had a translocation chromosome composed of the complete 4AL and about 45% of proximal 4AS from wheat, and the entire 4ES ofTh. intermedium. The BYDV-resistant translocation line, TC14, derived from tissue culture, had a very short distal segment of 7StL fromTh. intermedium terminally attached to 56% of the proximal 7DL. These observations indicate that translocations in these wheat germplasm lines did not involve centromeric breaks and fusion but were a result of homoeologous chromosome recombination.accepted for publication by J. A calcium-dependent release of 5-hydroxytryptamine from the neural and intermediate lobe of the rat pituitary gland has been demonstrated following electrical stimulation of the pituitary stalk with stimulation parameters thought to evoke propagated action potentials. The 5-hydroxytryptamine release from the intermediate lobe was double that from the neural lobe. The mass of the intermediate lobe of the rat is about 80% of that of the neural lobe [Holzbauer, Racké, Mann, Cooper, Cohen, Krause and Sharman (1984) J. Neural Transm. 59, 91-104]. The relatively high overflow of 5-hydroxytryptamine from the intermediate lobe agrees with immunohistochemical studies in which a larger number of 5-hydroxytryptamine fibres were seen in the intermediate lobe than in the neural lobe. The present results have demonstrated that the rat hypophysis contains neuronal 5-hydroxytryptamine. They also suggest that this amine may act as a neurotransmitter substance in the neural and intermediate lobe.  相似文献

Cicatricial conjunctivitis may be a sequel to systemic disorders (eg, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, cicatricial pemphigoid) or local disorders such as chemical burns. The cicatrisation is often associated with corneal epithelial changes that cause visual loss. These have been attributed to encroachment of the conjunctival epithelium over the cornea. However, the epithelial anomalies are poorly understood. We investigated the corneal epithelial changes in cicatricial conjunctivitis with an immunohistochemical study of intermediate filaments in normal and pathological specimens. Our results show that the normal corneal epithelium is immunoreactive for cytokeratin 3 (CK 3) but not cytokeratin 19 (CK 19), whereas normal conjunctival epithelium is CK 3 negative and CK 19 positive. Conjunctiva artificially transposed over the cornea (after therapeutic conjunctival flap reconstruction) retained the normal pattern of conjunctival cytokeratin expression (CK 3 negative, CK 19 positive). Conversely, the entire corneal epithelium exhibited the normal cytokeratin pattern (CK 3 positive, CK 19 negative) in 82% of Stevens-Johnson, 80% of cicatricial pemphigoid, and 69% of chemical burns specimens. The findings suggest that conjunctival encroachment is not responsible for the changes at the corneal surface in cicatricial conjunctivitis and that the abnormal corneal epithelium is derived from native corneal cells in these diseases.  相似文献

Summary The polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon 7,12-dimethylbenz(a)anthracene (DMBA) is a metabolism-dependent procarcinogen whose tumorigenicity is modified by dietary and endocrine manipulationsin vivo. DMBA initiates molecular and cellular alterations in the mammary tissue, while dietary components and estrogens affect the post-initiational phase of tumorigenic transformation. The mechanism(s) responsible for modulation of tumorigenic transformation remain unclear. This study examines the effects of selected tumor suppressing agents and estradiol (E2) metabolites onin vitro DMBA carcinogenesis utilizing a newly established mouse mammary epithelial cell line C57/MG. Alteration in DNA repair synthesis, metabolism of E2 via the C2- and C16-hydroxylation pathways, and acquisition of anchorage-independent growth were utilized as molecular, endocrine, and cellular biomarkers to quantitate the cellular transformation by DMBA and its modulation by tumor suppressing agents and E2 metabolites. A single 24 hr exposure of 0.78 µM DMBA to C57/MG cells resulted in a 193.9% increase in DNA repair synthesis and a 73.1% decrease in C2/C16 hydroxylation of E2. The DMBA treated C57/MG cells also exhibited increased anchorage-independencein vitro prior to tumorigenesisin vivo. A simultaneous treatment of cells with DMBA and with the highest non-cytotoxic doses of the tumor suppressing agents 5 µM N-(4-hydroxyphenyl) retinamide (HPR), 50 µM indole-3-carbinol (I3C), or 1 µM tamoxifen (TAM) resulted in a 35.6% to 63.9% decrease in DNA repair synthesis, a 23.8% to 1347.6% increase in C2/C16 hydroxylation of E2, and a 53.8% to 72.4% decrease in anchorage-independent growth. The E2 metabolites at the highest non-cytotoxic doses of 0.76 µM estrone (E1), 0.69 µM 2-hydroxyestrone (2-OHE1), and 0.66 µM 2-methoxyestrone (2-MeOHE1) suppressed DMBA-induced DNA repair synthesis by 56.0% to 68.8%. These tumor suppressing agents and E2 metabolites also effectively suppressed post-initiational, anchorage-independent growth by 24.9% to 72.4%. These results indicate that DMBA induces cellular transformation in part by causing DNA damage, altering C2/C16 hydroxylation in favor of C16-hydroxylation, and inducing anchorage-independent growth prior to tumor development. Fifteen hundred and twenty cases of liposuction/liposculpture were performed at Dr. M. Erfan & Bagedo Hospitals and King Abdulaziz University Hospital in Jeddah from January 1983 to December 1994. These cases were mostly females. The age group was from 16–65 years. Multiple procedures were performed in 11.68% of these cases. The change in hemoglobin and the hematocrit ratio pre- and post-operatively, and the incidence of complications, were studied. The percentage of surface area operated upon rather than the amount of fat removed was the most important relevant factor.  相似文献

Purpose: To identify the cellular components of vitreous samples obtained during vit-rectomy for proliferative vitreoretinopathy(PVR).Methods: With the use of three intermediate filament (IF) proteins, vimentin, glialfibrillary acidic protein (GFAP), and cytokeratin (CK), cytocentrifuge slides of 14fresh vitreous aspirates were detected with immunohistochemical technique.Results: All the specimens contained epithelial-like proliferative cells with or withoutpigment and some membrane-like pieces. Immunocytochemical staining showed that76.0-90.0% cells stained for CK, 17.4-29.6% cells expressed GFAP, and 80.1-91.0% cells were positive for vimentin.Conclusions : Majority of cells in the vitreous samples originated from retinal pigmentepithelial cells (RPE) and glial cells in PVR. Patch-clamp recording techniques were applied to thin slices of the rat pituitary gland in order to study synaptic transmission between hypothalamic nerve terminals and neuroendocrine cells of the intermediate lobe. Inhibitory postsynaptic currents (IPSCs) could be evoked by electrical stimulation of afferent neuronal fibres in the surrounding tissue of the slice. The IPSCs could be evoked in an all-or-nothing mode depending on the stimulus intensity, suggesting that single afferent fibres were stimulated. They had a chloride-dependent reversal potential and were blocked by bicuculline (K d=0.1 M), indicating that they were mediated by -aminobutyric acid A (GABAA) receptors. In symmetrical chloride solutions the current/voltage relation of the IPSC peak amplitudes was linear. The IPSCs were characterized by a fast (1–2 ms) rise time and a biexponential decay, with time constants of 21±4 ms and 58±14 ms at a holding potential of –60 mV (n=6 cells). Both decay time constants increased with depolarization in an exponential manner. Spontaneously occurring IPSCs had a time course that was similar to that of evoked IPSCs. These miniature IPSCs, recorded in 1 M tetrodotoxin, displayed an amplitude distribution that was well fitted by single Gaussian functions, with a mean value of its maxima of 18.1±2.3 pA (n=4 cells). Amplitude histograms of evoked IPSCs were characterized by multiple peaks with a modal amplitude of about 18 pA (n=6 cells). These findings indicate the quantal nature of GABAergic synaptic transmission in this system, with a quantal conductance step of about 280 pS. Single-channel currents underlying the IPSCs were studied by bath application of GABA to outside-out patches excised from intermediate lobe cells. Such GABA-induced currents revealed two conductance levels of 14 pS and 26 pS. In conclusion, GABAergic synaptic transmission in neuroendocrine cells of the pituitary has properties that are quite similar to those observed in neurones of the central nervous system.  相似文献
