This paper analyses if privatisation of vocational rehabilitation can improve labour market opportunities for individuals on long-term sickness absence. We use a field experiment performed by the Public Employment Service and the Social Insurance Agency in Sweden during 2008–2010, in which over 4000 participants were randomly offered private and public rehabilitation. We find no differences in employment rates following rehabilitation between individuals who received rehabilitation by private and public providers. Also the average cost of rehabilitation was essentially equal for the two types of providers. This suggests that there are no large efficiency gains from privatising vocational rehabilitation. 相似文献

Title. A systematic review protocol on the use of teaching portfolios for educators in further and higher education. Aim. This paper is a review protocol that will be used to identify, critically appraise and synthesize the best current evidence relating to the use of teaching portfolios for educators in further and higher education. Background. While portfolio use as a means to assist students in further and higher education has undergone extensive research and review, their use as a tool to assist educators has yet to receive systematic attention. Reviews conducted on studies related to portfolio use and undergraduate students have suggested that a teaching portfolio may have a benefit for educators in higher education as a means to provide relevancy and focus to their teaching. Design. The objectives of the review are to evaluate how a teaching portfolio assists educators in teaching and learning; to evaluate the effects of maintaining a teaching portfolio for educators in relation to personal development; to explore the type of portfolio used; to determine whether a teaching portfolio is perceived more beneficial for various grades and professional types; and to determine any motivating factors or workplace incentives behind its implementation and completion. A search of the following databases will be made: MEDLINE, CINAHL, BREI, ERIC and AUEI. The review will follow the Joanna Briggs Institute guidance for systematic reviews of quantitative and qualitative research. Conclusion. Whilst preparing undergraduate students for a clinical course in paediatric dentistry, four consecutive classes (n = 107) were divided into two groups. Seven behaviour‐modifying techniques were introduced: systematic desensitization, operant conditioning, modelling, Tell, Show, Do‐principle, substitution, change of roles and the active involvement of the patient. The behaviour‐modifying techniques that had been taught to group one (n = 57) through lecturing were taught to group two (n = 50) through video sequences and vice versa in the following semester. Immediately after the presentations, students were asked by means of a questionnaire about their perceptions of ease of using the different techniques and their intention for clinical application of each technique. After completion of the clinical course, they were asked about which behaviour‐modifying techniques they had actually used when dealing with patients. Concerning the perception of ease of using the different techniques, there were considerable differences for six of the seven techniques (P < 0.05). Whilst some techniques seemed more difficult to apply clinically after lecturing, others seemed more difficult after video‐based teaching. Concerning the intention for clinical application and the actual clinical application, there were higher percentages for all techniques taught after video‐based teaching. However, the differences were significant only for two techniques in each case (P < 0.05). It is concluded that the use of video based teaching enhances the intention for application and the actual clinical application only for a limited number of behaviour‐modifying techniques. 相似文献

目的通过使用Excel软件对护理理论考试试题及成绩进行分析,掌握护理人员知识层次,改进考试题目结构及设置。方法把所有考试人员客观题的答案输入Excel软件,通过Excel软件的筛选功能找出错误答案,再使用计数功能得出错误答案数量,从而计算出总分,最后使用Excel软件中的统计函数算出需要的统计指标及试题区分度、难度指数并进行分析。结果两份试卷试题难度指数、区分度的差异无显著意义,考试成绩差异有显著性意义。结论计算机技术应用于护理考试结果分析,省时省力,可以减少相关数据的统计差错,避免因反复核算而耗费的工作时间。 相似文献

目的:为提高生物化学教学质量提供参考。方法:研发生物化学虚拟实验教学系统,并分析该系统对学生学习兴趣和教学水平的影响。结果:笔者利用网络平台开发了生物化学虚拟实验教学系统,并在教师和学生中进行了试用。教师管理模块实现了教师对实验项目的宏观管理和监控;学生实验模块可实现实验演示及网上实验等功能。结论:教学反馈表明,生物化学虚拟实验教学系统增强并扩展了传统教学模式,以全新的方式将学生、实验仪器及实验项目紧密联系起来,拓宽了学生的知识面,加强了学生之间的相互合作交流,激发了学生的学习热情,提高了学习兴趣,具有助教、助学双重功能。 相似文献
