Gonadotrophin dynamics during reproductive life.

OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH) levels in early follicular phase throughout the reproductive years. METHOD: FSH and LH concentrations were determined by radioimmunoassay (RIA). Linear and polynomial regressions were carried out considering basal FSH as the dependent and age as the independent variable. RESULTS: FSH levels increased throughout the reproductive years (P<0.025). A positive correlation between age and basal FSH levels was detected (P<0.05). The Pearson squared coefficient of r(2)=0.889 was obtained. Using polynomial regression, the inclination of the parabole (Y=7.97-0.009x+0.057x(2)) was 0.359 and the generalized correlation coefficient was r=0.795. The goodness of fit analysis showed that the parabole may better represent the phenomenon (F=4.7; P<0.05). The LH levels remained constant, increasing only beyond 40 years of age. CONCLUSION: The FSH levels rose in a nonlinear way during the reproductive life and the LH concentrations increased discreetly only in patients over 40 years of age.     

反相高压液相色谱法测定血清中部分氨基酸

目的：建立测定血清中精氨酸含量的方法。方法：反相高压液相色谱法。ＨｙｐｅｒｓｉｌＢＤＳ柱，邻苯二甲醛柱前衍生化、萤光检测法检测。结果：精氨酸线性范围为３８３μｍｏｌ／Ｌ～４７８９μｍｏｌ／Ｌ，８种氨基酸的最低检测限为２μｍｏｌ／Ｌ，日内变异系数为２７５％～１１９３％，日间变异系数为７０５％～１２３９％，５种氨基酸的回收率为９６３３％～１００７８％。正常人血清精氨酸水平为９２７７±１７９０μｍｏｌ／Ｌ，糖尿病患者血清精氨酸水平则为７８６１±３３０３μｍｏｌ／Ｌ（Ｐ＞００５）。结论：本方法简单易行，方法学实验结果满意，适用于临床测定相关氨基酸的需要     

奥明格健脑口服液改善小鼠记忆的作用

目的观察奥明格健脑口服液对改善小鼠记忆作用的影响。方法断乳小鼠，体重１２～１４ｇ，每组１４～１６只。把实验动物随机分为正常对照组、高剂量组、中剂量组和低剂量组，连续给样３０ｄ，进行跳台和水迷宫试验，以上试验按同样方法重复一次。结果两次小鼠实验表明，灌胃奥明格健脑口服液１ｍｏ后，跳台试验中受电击动物数和错误总数，各试验组均低于对照组，其中高剂量试验组显著低于对照组，而且潜伏期显著延长。水迷宫试验中，动物到达终点所需时间和错误总数，高中剂量组试验组均显著低于对照组。结论奥明格健脑口服液具有改善动物记忆的作用。     

Delayed sleep phase syndrome: A placebo-controlled cross-over study on the effects of melatonin administered five hours before the individual dim light melatonin onset

In a double-blind placebo-controlled cross-over study, 30 patients with Delayed Sleep Phase Syndrome (DSPS) were included, of whom 25 finished the study. Melatonin 5 mg was administered during two weeks in a double-blind setting and two weeks in an open setting successively or interrupted by two weeks of placebo. The study's impact was assessed by measurements of the 24-h curves of endogenous melatonin production and rectal temperature (n=14), polysomnography (n=22), actigraphy (n=13), sleep log (n=22), and subjective sleep quality (n=25). Mean dim light melatonin onset (DLMO) (±SD), before treatment, occurred at 23.17 hours (±138 min). Melatonin was administered five hours before the individual DLMO. After treatment, the onset of the nocturnal melatonin profile was significantly advanced by approximately 1.5 hour. Body temperature trough did not advance significantly. During melatonin use, actigraphy showed a significant advance of sleep onset and polysomnography, a significant decreased sleep latency. Sleep architecture was not influenced. During melatonin treatment patients felt significantly more refreshed in the morning. These results show that analysis of DLMO of patients suffering from DSPS is important both for diagnosis and therapy. These results are discussed in terms of the biochemistry of the pineal.     

Occupational dermatitis from Synacril Red 3B liquid (Cl Basic Red 22)

A carpet factory worker, exposed to a number of different dyes, developed a severe hand dermatitis. The handling of warm, wet and freshly-dyed yarn with unprotected hands was thought to have caused the onset of dermatitis. Patch testing indicated that the patient was sensitive to only one of the dyes handled, namely Synacril Red 3B liquid, which is based on the single dyestuff Basic Red 22 (CI 11055). Chemical analysis revealed the dyestuff to be of high purity (greater than 95%), suggesting that sensitization was caused by the Basic Red 22 dyestuff itself and not by an avoidable impurity.     

抗人甲状腺球蛋白单克隆抗体的制备及其对抗原决定簇特异性的研究

用杂交瘤技术建立三株分泌抗甲状腺球蛋白(TG)单克隆抗体的杂交瘤细胞株。所获三种单克隆抗体经兔抗小鼠IgG亚类、IgM及IgA血清鉴定表明,两种为IgG_1,一种为IgA;三种含单克隆抗体小鼠腹水的滴度(ELISA法)均为51200以上;以竞争性固相抗体结合试验测定它们对抗原决定簇的特异性差异,结果发现三种单克隆抗体的抗原结合部位是不同的,但对抗原的结合有一定的相互竞争抑制现象。     

莼菜多糖蛋白体营养液治疗便秘疗效观察

对随机抽取的57例成人便秘者,服用莼莱多糖蛋白体营养液治疗。结果服用第3天便秘症状缓解,第5天有56％以上服药者达到每天排一次正常软便,第9天全部便秘者症状消除。     

Effects of Polyethyleneglycol Chain Length and Phospholipid Acyl Chain Composition on the Interaction of Polyethyleneglycol-phospholipid Conjugates with Phospholipid: Implications in Liposomal Drug Delivery

Purpose. The purpose of this study was to investigate polyethyleneglycol(PEG)-phosphatidylethanolamine(PE) conjugate interaction with phospholipid bilayers, in an attempt to explain the dependence of liposome circulation time on formulation. Methods. Differential scanning calorimetry, electron microscopy, dynamic light scattering and NMR were the major methods used in the study. Results. Mixtures of PEG-phospholipid conjugates and phosphatidylcholine existed in three different physical states: a lamellar phase with components exhibiting some miscibility, a lamellar phase with components phase separated, and mixed micelles. Beyond 7 mol% of PEG(l,000–3,000)-dipalmitoyl phosphatidylethanolamine (DPPE), and 11 mol% PEG(5,000)-DPPE in dipalmitoyl phosphatidylcholine (DPPC), a strong tendency towards mixed micelle formation was observed. All concentrations of PEG(12,000)-DPPE and PEG(5,000)-DPPE beyond 8 mol% formed phase separated lamellae with phosphatidylcholine. Decreasing the acyl chain length from C_16:0 to C_14:0 caused a decrease in tendency towards micelle formation and phase separation. These tendencies increased upon increasing acyl chain length to C_18:0. Phase separation was at least partly due to PEG chain-chain interaction. This was supported by an increased fraction of PEG chains exhibiting a fast NMR transverse relaxation in DPPC/PEG(5,000)-DPPE mixtures as compared to that in distearoyl phosphatidylcholine (DSPC)/PEG(5,000)-dioleoyl-PE (DOPE). Conclusions. These phenomena are discussed in relation to both bilayer and steric stabilization of liposomes, and the lack of prolonged circulation with certain formulations is discussed.     

Treatment of chronic lymphocytic leukemia in early and stable phase of the disease: Long-term results of a randomized trial

Abstract: In 1982 the IGCI CLL cooperative group decided to investigate the usefulness of treating, at diagnosis B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) in early and stable phase of the disease. From January 1982 to December 1986, 148 patients were randomized either to receive immediate treatment with chlorambucil (CLB) or to defer therapy to the time of progression. The early and stable phase of the disease was defined by a total tumor mass (TTM) score < 9, the absence of anemia or thrombocytopenia and a doubling time > 12 months. The main end-point of the study was survival. At the last evaluation in April 1993, after a median follow-up of 75 months, no significant difference was found in overall survival between early vs. deferred treatment patients from every cause of death as well as from death due to CLL-related causes only. The same results were obtained when the patients in more favorable stages, such as Binet stage A and TTM < 4.5, were considered. Interestingly, the incidence of epithelial cancer was similar in the two groups. Early treatment was associated with a significantly better response and a lower progression rate. From this long-term experience, it can be concluded that immediate chemotherapy with CLB is not beneficial for CLL patients in early and stable phase of the disease in terms of survival.
