Incorporating a service improvement project into an undergraduate nursing programme: A pilot study

Although service improvement projects have been incorporated into some postregistration nurse education modules in the UK, they have not been generally available to pre‐registration students. This paper reports on the implementation and evaluation of a pilot project in pre‐registration nurse education at one university in eastern England. It concludes that the nursing students found the project to be a useful addition to their course. Supportive reactions were obtained from nurse managers, mentors and academics. A need to improve communication with clinical areas through the use of web‐based materials was highlighted.     

Participatory action research: Involving students in parent education

Competition for scarce clinical placements has increased requiring new and innovative models to be developed to meet the growing need. A participatory action research project was used to provide a community nursing clinical experience of involvement in parent education. Nine Hong Kong nursing students self-selected to participate in the project to implement a parenting program called Parenting Young Children in a Digital World. Three project cycles were used: needs identification, skills development and program implementation. Students were fully involved in each cycle's planning, action and reflection phase. Qualitative and quantitative data were collected to inform the project. The overall outcome of the project was the provision of a rich and viable clinical placement experience that created significant learning opportunities for the students and researchers. This paper will explore the student's participation in this PAR project as an innovative clinical practice opportunity.     

护士精神薪酬满意度与其工作绩效的相关性研究

目的调查护士精神薪酬满意度和工作绩效现状,为提高护士工作绩效提供新的思路。方法采用护士精神薪酬满意度问卷和护士工作绩效量表对389名护士进行问卷调查。结果精神薪酬满意度总分为(27.07±3.79)分,工作绩效总分为(155.77±9.23)分;精神薪酬满意度总分与工作绩效总分呈正相关(P0.01);聘用方式、职称和精神薪酬满意度为护士工作绩效的预测因素(P0.01)。结论护士精神薪酬满意度和工作绩效均处于中等水平,精神薪酬满意度为护士工作绩效的影响因素,护理管理者可从提高护士精神薪酬满意度的角度提高其工作绩效。     

公招考试对二级公立医院儿科招聘护士的影响调查及对策分析

目的探讨公招考试对二级公立医院儿科招聘护士的影响及应对对策。方法2012年9月1-31日采用问卷调查方式了解重庆市开县二级公立医院儿科聘用护士情况，共114人。调查内容包括受试者一般情况、工作环境、工作氛围、薪酬待遇、职业压力、压力来源、公招意向以及对公招考试的认识等方面。结果有50．O％（57／114）受访者表示近期会参加公招考试。86．8％（99／114）受访者表示参加公招考试的目的是让自己的工作变得稳定；57．9％（66／114）受访者表示期望通过公招考试来提高待遇。结论二级公立医院儿科护理团队稳定性面临严峻挑战。医院管理者需要完善儿科护理招聘人员的相关管理制度，认真做到人性化的管理并加强医院文化建设。     

Factors Influencing Nursing Career Choices and Choice of Study Program

In advance of a recruitment campaign, Israeli first-year nursing students of all ethnicities were surveyed to elucidate what factors had influenced them to make nursing their career and what sort of training track they preferred. The responses made it clear that different factors influence different groups differently. There were noticeable differences by gender, age, and ethnicity. Overall, training institutions were chosen for their closeness to the student's home but other factors also operated among particular groups, such as institutional prestige and flexible entry criteria. There was a blatant preference for academic, particularly university-sited, programs over diploma programs.     

分合式（Y型）输液器在优质护理服务中的效果体会

目的探讨分合式输液器在优质护理服务中的应用。方法选择2012年6～12月在胸外科静脉输液的患者，对照组（n=520）使用普通输液器；试验组（n=542）使用分合式输液器，采取单盲方法，收集每日更换液体的次数、输液器异常情况次数、患者的满意度，进行统计学分析。结果更换液体的次数、异常情况次数及患者的满意度，两组差异有统计学意义（P〈0．05）。结论使用分合式输液器，可以有效减少护士耗费在静脉治疗上的时间，提高工作效率，减轻患者及家属的恐慌，增加患者的满意度，便于优质护理工作的开展和完善。
