Three clinical reports of Kikuchi's lymphadenitis combined with systemic lupus erythematosus

Summary The authors describe three cases of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) associated with Kikuchi's histiocitic necrotizing lymphadenitis (HNL). Two patients presented a cytomegalovirus infection concomitantly with Kikuchi's lymphadenitis; in one of them the onsets of SLE and HNL were simultaneous. In the third case an inguinal HNL was concomitant with vaginitis of unknown aetiology.

Information security concepts and practices: the case of a provincial multi-specialty hospital

In recent years, major and widely accepted information security understandings and achievements confirm that the problem is complex. They clarify that technologies are fundamental tools, but management processes have even bigger relevance, as also prestigious international magazines dossier clearly explained recently. Such a magazine attention outlines the wide impact that the subject has on watchful decision makers. ISO17799 is an emerging standard in information security. In principle there are no reasons for considering it not applicable to the health care sector. In practice, because of both the just conceptual level of the standard and the peculiarities of the health care data and institutions, a lot of analysis and design work need to be invested any time a health care institution decides to deal with the subject. CEN/ENV 12924 is another emerging standard certainly more on the spot of the health care. Nevertheless, it also asks for evident further investigation. The practical case of information security design, implementation, management, and auditing inside a multi-specialty provincial Italian hospital will be described.     

Resolution of late-developing periprosthetic breast infections without prosthesis removal

Based on prior experience with implant exposure, an aggressive regimen to eradicate periprosthetic infections has proven successful in delayed gram-positive and gram-negative bacterial infections and in atypical microbacterial infections. The objective of the salvage procedure is to retain a prosthesis, to maintain breast contour, and to avoid psychological and physical consequences of prosthesis removal. The salvage procedure involves topical antisepsis, contracture release if needed, systemic and topical antibiotics with intermittent or continuous irrigation, and reinforcement of incision lines in selected cases using local tissue flaps.

Association between chronic hepatitis C infection and metabolic syndrome: A meta-analysis

BackgroundHepatitis C virus (HCV) infected patients have been found to be more susceptible to metabolic syndrome (MetS), but the results remain unclear and lack of a meta-analysis.MethodsDatabases including PubMed, Web of Science, EMBASE and the Cochrane Library were searched to identify all studies concerning HCV and MetS. Funnel plots combined with Begg's tests and Egger's tests were used to analysis the possible publication bias. The odds ratios (ORs) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were used to access the effect of HCV infection on the risk of MetS.ResultsEight articles, involving a total of 57387 HCV patients were included. HCV infection was significantly associated with an increased incidence of MetS (OR = 1.73; 95% CI, 1.19–2.52). After adjustment according to the sensitivity analysis, one included article was removed to decrease the publication bias and high heterogeneity, of which the results showed that HCV infection was still associated with an increased incidence of MetS (OR = 1.93; 95% CI, 1.39–2.68).ConclusionsHCV patients tend to have a significant increased risk for MetS, but more large-scale studies are needed to confirm this and explore the exact mechanism.     

新政府会计制度下公立医院会计核算的难点及对策

2019年1月1日公立医院正式开始实施新政府会计制度,通过研究公立医院在新制度下会计核算的衔接问题以及适应问题,找出公立医院会计核算将面临的难点,如固定资产及其累计折旧核算方式、应付职工薪酬、科教项目核算等,并给出相应的解决对策,如利用信息化手段对应付职工薪酬进行资金分配、利用成本配比处理医院科教项目核算难点等,帮助公立医院能够在改革中进步,提升公立医院会计核算管理水平。     

2018—2020年徐州市食源性疾病监测分析

目的 分析徐州市2018—2020年食源性疾病哨点医院主动监测结果,了解该地区食源性疾病流行特征。方法 收集2018—2020年徐州市食源性疾病哨点医院监测的病例信息,并对部分病例的粪便样本进行病原学检测。结果 3年共监测食源性疾病病例7 548例,其中25～45岁年龄组占比最高(26.81%);6—9月为发病高峰;肉与肉制品(20.72%)为主要的可疑暴露食品;可疑食物进食场所主要为家庭(80.49%);农民(26.75%)和散居儿童(24.95%)病例构成比较高。共采集1 835份腹泻病例粪便样本,其中诺如病毒检出率最高为(4.69%)。结论 徐州市食源性疾病高发期为6—9月,具有明显的季节性,好发于家庭,肉与肉制品为主要暴露食品,感染患者集中在>25～45岁年龄组,诺如病毒感染率较高。
