This study assesses how adolescent nonsmokers, at-risk smokers, and smokers differ in perceptions of smoking harms, benefits, and safety. While small differences exist when comparing attitudes and knowledge concerning short- and long-term benefits of smoking, large differences arise when attitudes and knowledge concerning the short-term benefits and the safety of casual smoking are compared. 相似文献

Summary: Summary. A study was conducted to determine whether the attitudes of medical students to death and caring changed during the 3 months following exposure to cadaver dissection. All first-year students were invited to complete a questionnaire immediately before their initial cadaver dissection experience, after 6 weeks, and after a further 3 months. The questionnaire reflected attitudes to death, violent death, death of someone known to the respondent and caring when someone known to the respondent is seriously injured. Ethnicity and previous exposure to dying has no effect on responses, but overall men students' reactions were significantly less than for women ( P < 0.001). The responses given on the final part of the questionnaire after 3 months were significantly lower than those to most questions in the first part of the questionnaire. The exceptions were those questions where the subject in the given scenario was known to the respondent, where reactions were rated significantly greater ( P < 0.001) in the follow-up questionnaire and can be explained on the basis that they were a personal referent.
Students rapidly develop a coping mechanism which enables them to view cadaver dissection as an occupation quite divorced from living human beings. During these early months of training solicitude decreases for those who die who are unknown to them, but concern for personal referents increases. Self-directed learning is a natural way for adults to learn. Vocational training for general practice is a preparation for unsupervised clinical work that will be supported, in the main, by continuing medical education. This study uses the Self-Directed Learning Readiness Scale to investigate factors influencing readiness for such learning among a sample of general practice trainees. Three principal factors emerged from analysis: enjoyment and enthusiasm for learning; a positive self-concept as a learner and a factor suggesting the possibility of a 'reproducing' orientation to learning. These factors may reflect approaches to learning in general rather than these adopted for professional learning, but offer helpful pointers for the development of both vocational training and of continuing medical education. 相似文献

目的 探索早期干预对窒息、高胆、早产三类高危儿智力发育改善的效果,寻找更合适的早期干预措施。方法 将三类高危儿分为干预组及对照组,同时随机选取正常对照组进行随访。干预组采用鲍秀兰教授“0~3岁”早期干预方案训练,各组均在6个月、1岁时分别采用婴幼儿智能发育量表(CDCC)进行智力发育测评,结果用MDI、PDI表示。结果 (1)6个月龄时MDI各干预组与对照组间有显著性差异,窒息组、早产组与正常组间亦有显著性差异;高胆组与正常组间无差异;PDI窒息组中干预组与对照组之间有显著差异(P<0.01),高胆组、早产组均无差异(P>0.05)。(2)1岁时MDI和PDI结果一致,干预组与对照组间比较窒息组、高胆组有显著差异,早产组无差异;窒息组、高胆组干预组与正常组比较无差异,对照组和早产组与正常组比较均有显著差异(P<0.01)。(3)所有干预组测评分值均高于对照组,6个月与1岁之间比较有显著差异,各观察组间比较有显著性差异(P<0.01)。结论 三类高危儿早期干预效果差异较大,干预组均较对照组分值高,早期干预有改善智力发育的作用;三类高危儿中,窒息组、高胆组效果最好,均达到或超过正常水平。所有未干预组均不及正常水平;早期干预对足月高危儿效果显著,对早产儿欠佳,远期效果尚需进一步随访观察。 相似文献

[目的]观察2002~2006年广西大专新生乙肝病毒携带率分布,为进一步防治乙型肝炎提供理论依据。[方法]收集2002~2006年大专新生入学体检资料,采用SPSS13.0软件进行整理、统计分析。[结果]2002~2006年5年中广西大专新生HBV携带率呈明显下降的趋势,平均每年以10%的速度下降,2006年乙肝病毒携带率比2002年下降了44%,尤其以2005年桂东南汉、壮民族下降最为显著。[结论]80年代中期广西普遍接种乙肝疫苗以后,乙肝疫苗阻断乙型病毒性肝炎在广西青少年母婴传播及水平传播效果已经显现。建议在广西各地区,尤其是在桂西北少数民族地区进一步加强乙型肝炎基因工程疫苗的接种工作力度,使乙型病毒性肝炎感染率控制到更低的水平。 相似文献

目的:考察新药依西美坦片在3种不同介质中的溶出特性,以研究影响其口服吸收速率的主要因素和规律。方法:建立HPLC法检测其制剂含量和溶出液浓度,色谱柱:HypersilC18(150mm×4.6mm,5μm);流动相:甲醇:0.05mol/LKH2PO4溶液(60:40);检测波长:247nm。溶出介质选用水、0.1mol/L盐酸溶液及0.5%十二烷基硫酸钠溶液,采用转篮法,转速100r/min。结果:依西美坦片在水和0.1mol/L盐酸溶液中的溶出较差,在0.5%十二烷基硫酸钠溶液巾溶出迅速完全,60min时在3种介质中的溶出百分率分别为(60.25±3.76)%、(47.57±1.20)%和(82.24±0.96)%。结论:依西美坦片可能主要在肠道溶出,其溶出速率受介质影响大。 相似文献

This paper provides for the first time evidence of a consistent difference in the memory structures of novice and expert clinicians. The diagnostic performance of first- and third-year clinical medical students, senior house officers, registrars and consultants on four clinical problems in general medicine was studied. Comparisons were made of all diagnostic interpretations offered and the forceful features (personally important pieces of information which act as a key to particular memory structures which in turn give rise to the clinical interpretation) from which these were derived. Results demonstrate that the numbers of interpretations made and the numbers of forceful features identified did not differ significantly between groups (P greater than 0.05). However, the actual interpretations made in three out of four cases, and the actual forceful features identified in all cases, did differ significantly between groups (P less than 0.05). The numbers of interpretations made by all groups were large and demonstrated enormous variability. Highly individualized multiple responses to clinical information are associated with easy diagnoses. We conclude that there is no difference between groups of differing clinical experience in the breadth of thought but that there are marked differences in the precise content and structure of thought. This allows coherent explanation of variation in diagnostic expertise with clinical experience. The significance of the findings is discussed. 相似文献

The cardiorespiratory effects of intermittent positive pressure ventilation and high frequency jet ventilation with and without positive end expiratory pressure were compared in patients following valvular heart surgery (mitral and/or aortic). Twenty patients received intermittent positive pressure ventilation and high frequency jet ventilation with 0, 0.5 and 1.0 kPa positive end expiratory pressure. High frequency jet ventilation was well tolerated. The addition of 1.0 kPa positive end expiratory pressure was associated with preservation of the arterial oxygen tension without any increase in shunt or significant adverse haemodynamic effect. The results are discussed and compared with a previous study of high frequency jet ventilation following aortocoronary bypass graft surgery. 相似文献
