Case report
A 7 year-old boy with Xeroderma Pigmentosum (XP) and who presents a recurrent conjunctival atypical fibroxanthoma after two surgeries. This is the third procedure and the patient is treated with a surgical excision of the tumour and cryotherapy at the surgical bed. Due to the risk of recurrence, topical Mitomycin C 0,02% was added at post-operative care achieving a good clinical outcome.Discussion
Surgical exeresis with cryotherapy and topical Mitomycin C is an effective treatment for a case of an atypical fibroxanthoma with a high potential for recurrence and invasion. An ophthalmologic follow-up is required for these patients, as well as general paediatric care and support aids. 相似文献52.

The classical treatment of cornual ectopic pregnancy is cornual resection or hysterectomy. Currently, a more conservative approach is feasible. We describe a case of cornual ectopic pregnancy treated with tubal cornual curettage and review the various options in the management of this entity. This technique may reduce the risk of uterine rupture in future pregnancies, even though studies on this topic are lacking. 相似文献

Traditional management of interstitial pregnancy involves laparotomy with cornual resection. Recent advances in transvaginal ultrasonography and sensitive beta-hCG assays have led to earlier diagnosis of these cases. We report a case of interstitial pregnancy successfully treated with parenteral methotrexate. Prompt recognition of interstitial pregnancy allows conservative approachment and systemic methotrexate presents as an effective and safe option. 相似文献

Ectopic cesarean scar pregnancy is a very rare process that has the potential for very severe complications. However, due to the low frequency of this entity, there are no clear protocols for its treatment and many different treatment plans, both medical and surgical, are currently applied. We report the case of a patient with an ectopic pregnancy in a previous cesarean scar, diagnosed by transvaginal ultrasound scan and treated by total abdominal hysterectomy, since the patient did not wish to preserve her fertility. 相似文献

We present a case of cervical ectopic pregnancy diagnosed in the sixth week of gestation. The speed of diagnosis and good clinical status of the patient allowed conservative treatment to be applied. Two doses of systemic methotrexate were required to decrease human chorionic gonadotrophin (βHCG) values followed by the use of intrasaccular methotrexate due to the persistence of the ultrasound image.Medical treatment with systemic and/or intrasaccular methotrexate is a highly effective measure to achieve low morbidity. This option allows more aggressive techniques to be reserved for patients unresponsive to this treatment or those with complications. 相似文献

Interstitial pregnancy has increased in the last few decades due to greater use of assisted reproductive technology. Despite early diagnosis and the development of increasingly conservative treatment, maternal morbidity and mortality remain high. We report two cases of interstitial pregnancy treated by ultrasound-guided transcervical suction curettage. In both cases, the procedure was quick, bleeding was minimal and there were no complications. Ultrasound-guided transcervical curettage is a safe and effective alternative in interstitial pregnancy. 相似文献

The interstitial ectopic pregnancy is a rare condition, accounting for 2-4% of all ectopic pregnancies. It is difficult to diagnose both for its location and for its rarity. The treatment of choice is laparoscopic management. We present a case of interstitial ectopic pregnancy in which laparoscopy was useful in two ways, as a diagnostic tool and for its treatment. 相似文献

An ectopic pregnancy is a common pathology in the first trimester, with an increasing incidence due to several factors. Ruptured ectopic pregnancy is one of the most dangerous emergencies in the obstetric patient, since this is a condition responsible for most pregnancy-related deaths in the first trimester. Any woman in fertile age with vaginal bleeding and/or abdominal pain can have an ectopic pregnancy, therefore we must always be aware of it, even more so if our patient has risk factors, such as previous tubal surgery. 相似文献

Throughout the history of hysteroscopy, many technical changes have been made to reduce its complications, involving the distension medium, optics and image enhancement. Recently, we designed a hysteroscopic morcellator intended to facilitate hysteroscopy use and reduce the risks of the previous technique. 相似文献
