BackgroundThe proposed criteria of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual for Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition for hypersexual disorder (HD) included symptoms reported by patients seeking help for excessive and out-of-control non-paraphilic sexual behavior, including sexual behaviors in response to dysphoric mood states, impulsivity, and risk taking. Although no prior studies of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) for the treatment of HD have been performed, CBT has been found effective for dysphoric mood states and impulsivity.AimTo investigate the feasibility of a CBT manual developed for HD explored through symptom decrease, treatment attendance, and clients’ treatment satisfaction.MethodsTen men with a diagnosis of HD took part in the CBT group program. Measurements were taken before, during, and at the end of treatment and 3 and 6 months after treatment.OutcomesThe primary outcome was the Hypersexual Disorder: Current Assessment Scale (HD:CAS) score that measured the severity of problematic hypersexual symptoms and secondary outcomes were the Hypersexual Disorder Screening Inventory (HDSI) score, the proportion of attended sessions, and the Client Satisfaction Questionnaire (CSQ-8) score.ResultsMain results were significant decreases of HD symptoms from before to after treatment on HD:CAS and HDSI scores and a decrease in the number of problematic sexual behaviors during the course of therapy. A high attendance rate of 93% and a high treatment satisfaction score on CSQ-8 also were found.Clinical ImplicationsThe CBT program seemed to ameliorate the symptoms of HD and therefore might be a feasible treatment option.Strengths and LimitationsThis study provides data from a CBT program for the treatment of the specific proposed criteria of HD. Because of the small sample and lack of a control group, the results can be considered only preliminary.ConclusionAlthough participants reported decreased HD symptoms after attending the CBT program, future studies should evaluate the treatment program with a larger sample and a randomized controlled procedure to ensure treatment effectiveness.Hallberg J, Kaldo V, Arver S, et al. Purpose: To systematically review primary research examining patient satisfaction with epilepsy surgery in order to obtain evidence‐based estimates of this surgical outcome; to assess methods used to measure epilepsy surgery satisfaction, overall epilepsy surgery satisfaction ratings, and predictors of epilepsy surgery satisfaction. Methods: Systematic review of published studies in English up to June 2009, focusing on patient satisfaction with all types of epilepsy surgery in patients of all ages. We excluded studies that focused on satisfaction with epilepsy treatment in general, on quality of life without specific exploration of patient satisfaction with surgery, and on satisfaction with the process of health care delivery, rather than with surgery and its outcomes. Key Findings: Eight studies met inclusion criteria. Satisfaction was assessed using one or more global questions. Four epilepsy surgery satisfaction question content patterns emerged: (1) satisfied or dissatisfied, (2) perceived success or failure, (3) overall positive or negative impact, and (4) willingness to repeat surgery or regretting surgery. Overall 71% were satisfied; 64% considered it a success; it had a positive effect for 78%; and 87% would repeat surgery. Seizure freedom was the most common predictor of epilepsy surgery satisfaction, whereas postoperative neurologic deficit predicted dissatisfaction. Significance: Patient satisfaction with interventions is an important aspect of patient‐centered care, but it has received little attention in epilepsy surgery. Future research is required to develop and validate epilepsy surgery satisfaction tools. We provide preliminary guiding principles for measuring satisfaction after epilepsy surgery.  相似文献

目的:探讨护理人员说话音调与响度对患者满意度的影响。方法:将544例患者分为两组,观察组268例,根据护士个体声音的差异、沟通对象及具体情形确定声音音调的高低及响度大小。对照组276例,护士按原习惯声音与患者沟通,观察两组患者的满意度。结果:观察组满意193例,基本满意69例,不满意6例,总满意度97.76%;对照组满意169例,基本满意71例,不满意36例,总满意度86.96%,两组比较差异有统计学意义(P0.01)。结论:调整护士说话的音调和响度可以提高患者满意度。  相似文献

目的探讨移动护士工作站对某三级甲等医院儿科门诊输液室护理质量的影响。方法对某三级甲等医院儿科门诊输液室25位护士以及450位患儿家属进行问卷调查。结果 90.1%的护士认为移动护士工作站提高了她们在核对、处理医嘱,查询患儿检查结果以及与患儿家属沟通效果等3方面的效率;患儿家属对护理态度、响铃应答以及等待就诊时间满意度均明显高于移动护士工作站实施前;同时,移动护士工作站还优化了护理工作流程,减少了每月的护理差错和护理投诉事件,同时也缩短了患儿每次就诊输液等待时间。结论移动护士工作站的实施,不仅优化了儿科门诊输液室的护理工作流程,而且还提高了护理质量,和谐了护患关系,值得在临床护理工作中推广。  相似文献

目的:探讨父母控制的不同形式(行为控制、心理控制)与青少年抑郁的联系,并检验青少年基本心理需要满足在其中的中介作用。方法:采用父母控制问卷、基本心理需要满足量表以及儿童抑郁调查表(中文版)对703名青少年进行测查。结果:1行为控制对抑郁具有显著的负向预测作用,心理控制对抑郁具有显著的正向预测作用;2行为控制通过促进基本心理需要满足进而减少青少年抑郁,心理控制通过阻碍基本心理需要满足进而增加青少年抑郁。结论:父母控制的不同形式对青少年抑郁具有不同的影响,基本心理需要满足在二者之间起中介作用。  相似文献

目的:本研究旨在考察舞动团体对大学生心理健康的影响作用。方法:将随机选取的46名大学本科生分为实验组(23人)和对照组(23人,有3人后测数据流失)。实验组被试接受连续10周,每周2小时的舞动团体辅导,对照组被试不接受任何处理。使用《一般生活满意度量表》、《抑郁量表》、《积极建构问卷》对两组被试进行前后测。结果:实验组和对照组被试在前测的各指标上差异不显著,在后测的各指标差异显著。组内差异检验结果显示,实验组被试的一般生活满意度后测显著高于前测(t=3.347,P0.005),抑郁水平后测显著低于前测(t=-4.217,P0.001),积极建构分数后测显著高于前测(t=4.954,P0.001);而对照组被试在各指标上的前后测差异不显著。结论:舞动团体能显著增强大学生对事物的积极建构,降低大学生的抑郁水平,提高大学生的总体生活满意度。  相似文献

Objective:

translate and validate to Portuguese the Scale of Student Satisfaction and Self-Confidence in Learning.

Material and Methods:

methodological translation and validation study of a research tool. After following all steps of the translation process, for the validation process, the event III Workshop Brazil - Portugal: Care Delivery to Critical Patients was created, promoted by one Brazilian and another Portuguese teaching institution.

Results:

103 nurses participated. As to the validity and reliability of the scale, the correlation pattern between the variables, the sampling adequacy test (Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin) and the sphericity test (Bartlett) showed good results. In the exploratory factorial analysis (Varimax), item 9 behaved better in factor 1 (Satisfaction) than in factor 2 (Self-confidence in learning). The internal consistency (Cronbach''s alpha) showed coefficients of 0.86 in factor 1 with six items and 0.77 for factor 2 with 07 items.

Conclusion:

in Portuguese this tool was called: Escala de Satisfação de Estudantes e Autoconfiança na Aprendizagem. The results found good psychometric properties and a good potential use. The sampling size and specificity are limitations of this study, but future studies will contribute to consolidate the validity of the scale and strengthen its potential use.  相似文献

目的 探讨在门诊输液室加强健康教育,提高输液患者的遵医行为,提高患者对疾病相关知识的知晓率,调高患者对护理服务质量的满意度,改善护患关系.方法 选择212例输液患者随机分为观察组和对照组各106例.对照组采用常规的输液护理,观察组在常规输液护理的基础上加强健康教育,二组患者对遵医行为的依从性,以及对疾病、药物、及输液知识的知晓率和对护理服务质量的满意度进行比较.结果 观察组的遵医行为,疾病、药物、输液相关知识的知晓率,以及对护理服务质量的满意度明显提高.结论 加强门诊输液室患者的健康教育可以提高患者的遵医行为及相关知识的知晓率,提高输液患者满意度,改善护患关系.  相似文献
