Total knee replacement (TKR) is associated with a large amount of bleeding; therefore, the prevalence of postoperative anemia is high. In particular, patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) are more vulnerable to postoperative anemia than are healthy individuals. Accordingly, the effect of intraoperative intravenous ferric derisomaltose (FDI) supplementation on postoperative anemia and blood transfusion volume reduction in patients with CKD was studied. Patients who underwent unilateral TKR between January 2019 and December 2020 were retrospectively reviewed. In analyzing the data, the patients fell into the CKD group (n = 85) and the non-CKD group (n = 106). Each group was divided into a group using FDI and a non-FDI group, and classified into 4 groups. The postoperative hemoglobin level for each postoperative day (POD) was determined as the primary outcome. In addition, the patient transfusion rate, volume of transfusion, and length of hospital stay were set as secondary study outcomes during the period from surgery to discharge. There was no statistically significant difference in hemoglobin levels on PODs 0, 1, 2, 7, and 14 in the CKD group. In the CKD group, the transfusion volume of the FDI group was 0.58 ± 0.91 units per person, which was statistically significantly lower than 1.28 ± 1.28 units of the non-FDI group (P = .01). In the CKD group, the transfusion rate of the FDI group was 30.2%, which was statistically significantly lower than that of the non-FDI group, which was 56.3% (P = .02). This study showed that intravenous FDI supplementation after TKR in CKD patients did not reduce postoperative anemia but was an effective and safe treatment to reduce transfusion volume and transfusion rate. There was no statistically significant difference in hemoglobin levels on POD 0, 1, 2, 7, and 14 in the non-CKD group. In the non-CKD group, the transfusion volume of the FDI group was 0.46 ± 0.88 units per person, which was lower than the 0.56 ± 0.91 units of the non-FDI group, but it was not statistically significant (P = .59). In the non-CKD group, the transfusion rate of the FDI group was 23.0%, which was lower than that of the non-FDI group, which was 31.3%, but it was not statistically significant (P = .37).  相似文献

Noise-induced hearing loss is the most frequent and preventable occupational disease. Aviation pilots are a vulnerable population, as they spend many hours exposed to noise pollution in their working environment. Different studies suggest that certain dietary compounds may play a key role in the etiology and prevention of this pathology. We aimed to study the relationship linking auditory function, dietary intake, and some serum biomarkers in pilots, exposed to noise in the work environment. A total of 235 pilots, who undergo a periodic medical examination at the Centro de Instrucción de Medicina Aeroespacial (Madrid, SPAIN), were evaluated. Auditory function was assessed by tonal audiometry. Energy and nutrient intakes were estimated by 24 h recall (DIALTM program). Serum homocysteine (Hcy) was determined in a Cobas 6000TM multi-analyzer while folate, vitamin B12, and D were analyzed in a Cobas e411TM. The prevalence of hearing loss (HL) was 64.3%. HL was significantly related to age (r = 0.588, p ≤ 0.001) and flight hours (r = 0.283, p ≤ 0.001). A multiple linear regression model was used to assess the relationship among HL, flight hours, serum folate, and Hcy serum levels. HL was significantly (p < 0.050) associated with flight hours (β = 0.246), serum folate (β = −0.143), and serum Hcy (β = 0.227). Nutritional interventions would be of great interest to monitor and slow down the HL progression in populations exposed to noise pollution in their workplace.  相似文献

Beetroot juice (BJ) has been used as a sport supplement, improving performance in resistance training (RT). However, its effect on the modulation of the autonomic nervous system has not yet been widely studied. Therefore, the objective of this randomized double-blind crossover study was to assess the effect of acute BJ supplementation compared to placebo in blood pressure (BP), heart rate (HR), heart rate variability (HRV) and internal load during RT measure as Root Mean Square of the Successive Differences between adjacent RR intervals Slope (RMSSD and RMSSD-Slope, respectively). Eleven men performed an incremental RT test (three sets at 60%, 70% and 80% of their repetition maximum) composed by back squat and bench press with. HR, HRV and RMSSD-Slope were measured during and post exercise. As the main results, RMSSD during exercise decrease in the BJ group compared to placebo (p = 0.023; ES = 0.999), there were no differences in RMSSD post-exercise, and there were differences in RMSSD-Slope between groups in favor of the BJ group (p = 0.025; ES = 1.104) with a lower internal load. In conclusion, BJ supplementation seems to be a valuable tool for the reduction in the internal load of exercise during RT measured as RMSSD-Slope while enhancing performance.  相似文献

Hemodialysis (HD) is the most regularly applied replacement therapy for end-stage renal disease, but it may result in brain injuries. The correlation between cerebral blood flow (CBF) alteration and iron deposition has not been investigated in patients undergoing HD. Ferritin level may be a dominant factor in CBF and iron deposition change. We hypothesize that ferritin level might be the key mediator between iron deposition and CBF alteration. The correlation in the putamen was estimated between the susceptibility values and CBF in patients undergoing HD. Compared with healthy controls, patients showed more altered global susceptibility values and CBF. The susceptibility value was negatively correlated with CBF in the putamen in patients. Moreover, the susceptibility value was negatively correlated with ferritin level and positively correlated with serum iron level in the putamen of patients. CBF was positively correlated with ferritin level and negatively correlated with serum iron level in the putamen of patients. These findings indicate that iron dyshomeostasis and vascular damage might exist in the putamen in patients. The results revealed that iron dyshomeostasis and vascular damage in the putamen may be potential neural mechanisms for neurodegenerative processes in patients undergoing HD.  相似文献

目的探讨长期铅暴露大鼠铁过载对神经元的损伤。方法SD大鼠母代与子代分别设对照、低、高剂量铅暴露组(母代:800、1 500 mg/L,子代:300、900 mg/L 乙酸铅饮水方式染毒)连续70周;电感耦合等离子体发射光谱仪(ICP-AES)测血液和海马元素铅及铁,同部位海马石蜡切片分别行铁染色及硫堇染色并进行图片融合。结果染铅后,大鼠血和海马铅及海马铁含量均增加(P<0.01);低、高剂量铅暴露组子代大鼠海马CA3区铁沉积IOD值分别为(5 930.71±2 517.68)和(1 1382.43±2 551.14),均高于对照组的(3 786.78±1 256.37),差异有统计学意义(P<0.01);低、高剂量铅暴露组子代大鼠海马CA1区的神经元数量分别为(70.71±11.80)、(70.37±17.53)个/视野,均低于对照组的(83.71±12.60)个/视野,差异有统计学意义(P<0.01);图像融合显示,染铅大鼠神经元内铁沉积增加而神经元数量及层数减少,损伤加重。结论基于铁染色和硫堇染色图像融合可直观地观察铅暴露大鼠铁过载部位神经元损伤。  相似文献

Vanadium is considered a strategic metal with wide applications in various industries due to its unique chemical and physical properties. On the basis of these considerations, the recovery of vanadium (V) is mandatory because of the lack of raw materials. Various methods are used to recover vanadium (V) from used aqueous solutions. This study develops a clean and effective process for the recovery of vanadium (V) by using the adsorption method. At the same time, this study synthesizes a material starting from silica matrices and iron oxides, which is used as an adsorbent material. To show the phase composition, the obtained material is characterized by X-ray diffraction showing that the material is present in the amorphous phase, with a crystal size of 20 nm. However, the morphological texture of the material is determined by the N2 adsorption–desorption method, proving that the adsorbent material has a high surface area of 305 m2/g with a total pore volume of 1.55 cm3/g. To determine the efficiency of the SiO2FexOy material for the recovery of vanadium through the adsorption process, the role of specific parameters, such as the L-to-V ratio, pH, contact time, temperature, and initial vanadium concentration, must be evaluated. The adsorption process mechanism was established through kinetic, thermodynamic, and equilibrium studies. In our case, the process is physical, endothermic, spontaneous, and takes place at the interface of SiO2FexOy with V2O5. Following equilibrium studies, the maximum adsorption capacity of the SiO2FexOy material was 58.8 mg (V)/g of material.  相似文献

  目的  探讨铁对大鼠血清25-(OH)D3、1,25-(OH)2D3水平以及大鼠肾脏维生素D受体(VDR)表达的影响。  方法  30只刚断乳雄性SD大鼠适应性喂养7 d,按体重随机分为对照组(n = 6)和模型组(n = 24),对照组大鼠饲喂正常饲料,模型组饲喂缺铁饲料,连续6周。造模成功后将模型组大鼠按血红蛋白(Hb)水平随机分为缺铁组、低、中和高铁组,每组6只;对照组与缺铁组大鼠灌胃生理盐水,低、中和高铁组大鼠分别给予11、33和99 mg/kg的右旋糖酐铁灌胃;连续4周后,8 % 水合氯醛麻醉大鼠,腹主动脉取血,分离血清,取动物肾脏组织, – 80 ℃冻存备用;采用酶联免疫试剂盒法检测大鼠血清25-(OH)D3、1,25-(OH)2D3水平,生化试剂盒法检测大鼠肾脏组织铁含量,Western blot和免疫组化法检测大鼠肾脏维生素D受体(VDR)蛋白表达水平。  结果  与对照组比较,造模后模型组大鼠Hb水平降低,差异有统计学意义(P < 0.05);与缺铁组比较,低、中和高铁组大鼠Hb水平明显升高(P < 0.05);与对照组比较,缺铁组大鼠血清中25-(OH)D3、1,25-(OH)2D3水平下降,VDR蛋白表达水平降低,差异有统计学意义(P < 0.05);与缺铁组比较,低、中和高铁组大鼠血清中25-(OH)D3、1,25-(OH)2D3水平升高,差异有统计学意义(P < 0.05);随着干预铁的浓度增加,VDR蛋白的表达呈逐渐上调趋势。  结论  机体铁含量影响VD3的活化以及肾脏VDR蛋白的表达。  相似文献

目的新型磁共振造影剂的研究是目前国内外的一个热点,本研究建立了超顺磁氧化铁中葡聚糖含量测定方法。方法用共沉淀法制备氧化铁纳米粒子,通过强酸性阳离子交换树脂纯化,提取,葡聚糖在苯酚-硫酸作用下脱水并显色,于488nm波长处测定吸收度。结果葡聚糖在9.8~98.0μg/mL范围内呈良好的线性关系(r=0.9991)。平均回收率分别为97.3%,104.3%,102.6%。结论本法简便、快速、重现性好,可用于超顺磁氧化铁中葡聚糖的检测。  相似文献

目的  探讨血清叶酸与口腔癌发病的关系。 方法  采用病例对照的研究方法, 收集福建医科大学附属第一医院2010年9月-2018年1月经病理确诊的口腔癌新发病例225例为病例组, 收集同时期社区和医院体检的健康人群225例为对照组。采用非条件Logistic回归分析模型, 分析血清叶酸与口腔癌发病风险的OR及其95%CI值, 并进行分层分析和相乘交互作用分析。 结果  病例组血清叶酸中位数为5.7 ng/ml, 低于对照组的8.2 ng/ml(P < 0.001), 差异有统计学意义; 无论性别、吸烟与否及摄入蔬菜水果的频次多少, 血清叶酸水平与口腔癌的发病风险均存在负相关; 叶酸与性别、吸烟、摄入蔬菜、水果在口腔癌的发生中存在相乘交互作用。 结论  高血清叶酸水平与口腔癌的发病风险呈负相关, 保证适量叶酸摄入、减少烟草消耗和适量增加蔬菜水果可能降低口腔癌的发病风险。  相似文献
