Hereditary characteristics of enzyme deficiency and dermatoglyphics in congenital color blindness

The hereditary characteristics of enzyme deficiency and dermatoglyphics in congenital color blindness (CCB) were studied. We propose that there is a linkage between the two loci on the X-chromosome determining CCB and glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD), based on our study of a high incidence of G6PD deficiency in 156 male cases with CCB. The CCB gene is closely linked with that of G6PD deficiency from our pedigree investigations. The rise in the frequency of eight or more whorls, the low value of atd angle and the presenting rate of real palmar patterns of the thenar, hypothenar and I, areas presented the hereditary traits of congenital color blindness.     

Histamine level and transglutaminase activity may provide indication of the development of spontaneous mammary tumor in C3H mice

Histamine (HA) concentrations and HA metabolizing enzyme activities were measured in macroscopically unchanged mammary glands and in tumor tissue of C3H mice carrying spontaneous mammary tumor as well as im mammary glands of control subjects matched for age.The great fall in HA level and the enzyme activities in tumor tissue was confirmed. In host mammary glands which showed no current evidence of neoplasm, consistently lower than normal HA concentrations and elevated transglutaminase (TG) activity were found, It is suggested, therefore, that HA level and TG activity may provide an early indication of the development of spontaneous mammary tumor.     

紫胡皂甙的高效液相色谱分离与测定

建立了高效液相色谱法，应用反相柱，以甲醇－水（６６∶３４）为流动相，分离了柴胡中的主要有效成分柴胡皂甙ａ、ｃ、ｄ（Ｓａｉｋｏｓａｐｏｎｉｎａ，ｃ，ｄ）并用紫外法进行含量测定。     

铅性肾病的流行病学分析

我们检查了铅接触人员１０２３名，发现铅性肾病８４例，患病率８．２％。女性３４例（７．２％），男性５０例（９％），男女铅性肾病患病率无显著性差异。印刷厂空气铅浓度平均０．００６９ｍｇ／ｍ３，蓄电池厂为０．１００５ｍｇ／ｍ３，铅矿为０．５ｍｇ／ｍ３。铅性肾病患病率分别为４．７３％，８．３％和２８．５７％（Ｐ＜０．００５）。分析铅性肾病患病率与年龄和铅接触年限的关系。年龄小于３０岁，～４０岁，～５０岁和大于５０岁者，铅性肾病患病率分别为５．５％，８．６％，１２．１％，和１５．６％（Ｐ＜０．０５）。铅接触年限小于１０年，～２０年和大于２０年者，铅性肾病患病率分别为６．６％，９．９％和１３．１％（Ｐ＜０．０５）。

从芫花Ｄａｐｈｎｅ ｇｅｎｋｗａ条的乙酸乙酯可溶部分分到３个结果性化合物，借助于波谱分析手段推断出Ⅱ为西瑞香素，Ⅲ为ｄａｐｈｎｏｄｏｒｉｎ Ｂ。

黑蔓不同部位微量元素的测定

为了了解吉林省长白县山区所产卫矛科雷公藤属植物黑蔓的药理作用,扩大它的药用部位和应用范围,我们从无机元素与中药药效有密切关系的角度出发,实验测出黑蔓含有Ba、Si、Cu、Fe、Zn、Sn、Co、Mn、Mg、Ca、Se等无机元素,本文重点对其中人体必需的微量元素Cu、Fe、Zn、Se作了定量分析。     

Variceal hemorrhage and cystic fibrosis: outcomes and implications for liver transplantation.

Autopsy and imaging studies show that liver involvement is common in cystic fibrosis. However, complications of chronic liver disease including portal hypertension and variceal bleeding are infrequently encountered, and the degree to which variceal hemorrhage affects prognosis in cystic fibrosis is unclear. This uncertainty has lead to debate as to whether liver transplantation is indicated in these patients. We describe a case series of 18 patients and compare their survival with a control group of cystic fibrosis patients without liver disease. The median age at first bleed was 20.0 years (range 9.7-30.9). The median survival after first bleed was 8.4 years, compared to 13.0 years in the control group (P = 0.15). A total of 14 patients have died, 9 from respiratory disease with no discernable contribution from their liver disease. Liver disease contributed to 4 deaths. Only 1 patient suffered a fatal hemorrhage, which may have been either variceal or bronchial in origin. Long-term survival is a frequent occurrence in patients with cystic fibrosis who suffer variceal hemorrhage, and age at death is comparable to the general cystic fibrosis population. In conclusion, this suggests that liver transplantation is not indicated in these patients without additional features of liver decompensation.
