Recent advances in diagnosis and treatmentof acute appendicitic peritonitis by combinedtraditional Chinese and Western medicine arereviewed,with emphasis on the significance ofprecise diagnosis and differentiation of manifes-tations.It was stressed that treatment duringthe first three days is of utmost importance.Correction of constitutional disturbances isessential,with rational use of herbs possessinglaxative properties to abolish stagnancy,heat-clearing and detoxifying properties,promoting“Blood” circulation and dispersing stasis.Com-bined treatment was found of value especially indiffuse peritonitis.Non-operative rate was 50-80%;mortality rate below 1%. 相似文献
