Spinal arteriovenous malformation diagnosed by gas myelography

Summary A spinal angioma, diagnosed by gas myelography, is presented. Though situated in the medullary conus, the malformation exclusively drained to the posterior fossa. Associated posterior fossa signs and symptoms, combined with cord findings led to the clinical diagnosis of multiple sclerosis.

Der Nachweis einer spinalen arteriovenösen Mißbildung durch die Gas-Myelographie

Zusammenfassung In der vorliegenden Arbeit wird ein spinales Angiom beschrieben, das durch die Gas-Myelographie nachgewiesen werden konte. Dieser Befund wurde durch die Pantopaque-Myelographie und durch die spinale Angiographie bestätigt.

Malformation artérioveineuse diagnostiquée par myélographie gazeuse

Résumé A propos d'un angiome de la moelle diagnostiqué par myélographie gazeuse. Bien que situé dans le cône terminal, cet angiome est drainé entièrement dans la fosse posterieure. Des signes associés de la fosse postérieure associés aux signes medullaires permirent de poser le diagnosric de sclérose en plaques.

Growth stimulation of the mixed microbial flora of human dental plaques by haemin

The anaerobic growth of a significant proportion of the microbial population comprising unstandardized plaques was stimulated by haemin addition to the initial isolation plates and to subcultures of the isolates. For “total” plaque viable counts, the optimal level to use in a nutrient broth-based medium supplemented with yeast extract was determined to be 1.5 μg haemin/ml. The haemin-affected members of the total population include cocci, rods and filaments, and they exhibit subculture haemin concentration effects which are optimal at or close to the haemin levels used in the initial isolation medium.     

Uniform data recording for head and neck cancer.

A uniform method of recording data on head and neck cancer patients is presented. This has been shown to work well in the clinical field. The records are always completely up to date and immediately available at any time for data analysis.
