Clinical observation on treatment of hyperthyoidism with integrated chinese medicine

Clinical and laboratory criteria were observed in 82 patients of hyperthyroidism treated with integrated Chinese medicine. Results showed that patients were recovered more rapid than the control group which were treated with Western medicine only. The serum free triiodothyronine, free tyroxin, total thyroxin, total triiodothyronine and reverse antitriiodothyronine of patients all went up beyond the normal range before treatment. After treatment, the number of patients with these abnormal criteria normalized in integrated therapy group was much greater than that in the control group.     

Amniotic Membrane Transplantation for Conjunctival Tumor

Purpose:To evaluate the possibility of amniotic membrane transplantation (AMT) for the treatment of conjunctival tumor.Methods:Preserved AMT was performed in 26 patients (26 eyes) with conjunctival tumor, including 9 eyes (34.62％) with malignant tumor (conjunctival malignant melanoma, corneal and conjunctival squamous cell carcinoma, conjunctival lymphoma), 17 eyes (65.38％) with benign tumor(conjunctival papilloma, conjunctival dermoid tumor, conjunctival nevus, hemangioma etc.).Result:All the patients are followed up for 1～53 months. No acute rejection was observed after preserved AMT. Ideal healing was found in conjunctiva wound.Conclusion:Preserved AMT is a very effective method to repair wound after giant conjunctival tumor operation. Complete removal of tumor and perfect fixation are the key of ocular surface reconstruction. Eye Science 2003;19:165-167.     

应用BMP与FGF修复兔桡骨缺损的实验研究

目的 联合应用成骨及成血管的生长,探索治疗骨缺损的有效方法。方法 联合应用BMP+bFGF及单纯BMP复合去抗原异种松质骨,采用X线摄片及组织学方法检测两种方法修复兔桡骨2 cm缺损效果。结果 联合应用BMP+bFGF修复兔桡骨2 cm缺损在12周时缺损完全骨性连接,骨髓腔完全再通,明显优于单纯BMP组的修复效果(P<0.01)。结论 联合应用BMP+bFGF修复兔桡骨2 cm缺损在12周时缺损完全骨性连接,骨髓腔完全再通,能成为修复缺损的新的有效方法。     

缺氧条件下家兔血浆心钠素醛固酮,抗利尿激素的变化

本实验观察了９０只家兔在急性缺氧６ｈ、１２ｈ、２４ｈ、３６ｈ、４８ｈ、６０ｈ、７２ｈ血浆心钠素、醛固酮和抗利尿激素的变化。结果提示，在缺氧条件下，血浆心钠素，抗利尿激素的变化与缺氧暴露的时间长短有关，复方丹参制剂可抑制缺氧所致的心钠素、抗利尿激素的释放。     

逐步logistic回归的一种算法

本文提出了逐步logistie回归的一种新的算法。这种算法是以解最优化问题的DFP-RFGS组合方法为基础建立起来的。它的主要优点是:(1)即使在变量数目多和数据量大的情况下,迭代过程能仍可靠地收敛于似然函数的极值点。(2)引入或剔除变量后,充分利用前面已有的计算结果设置迭代计算的初始值点和初始矩阵,从而简化了计算过程,使计算时间显著减小。文中介绍了实现本算法的过程,并举出计算实例。在附录中对有关的公式和结论作了证明。     

A comparison of polysomnography and the WatchPAT in the diagnosis of obstructive sleep apnea.

OBJECTIVE: Our goal was to validate the WatchPAT in the diagnosis of obstructive sleep apnea. STUDY DESIGN: We conducted a prospective, blinded, nonrandomized clinical trial. METHODS: Patients with suspected obstructive sleep apnea scheduled for an overnight level I polysomnogram were offered enrollment in a study to compare the WatchPAT (Itamar Ltd, Israel) device with polysomnography. Patients wore the WatchPAT device simultaneously while undergoing polysomnography during evaluation in the sleep lab. RESULTS: Thirty-seven patients participated in the study. They had a mean age of 50.1 years (range, 31-73 years) and mean body mass index of 34.6 kg/m(2) (range, 21.2-46.8 kg/m(2)). There was high correlation between the polysomnogram and WatchPAT apnea-hypopnea index (r = 0.9288; 95% confidence interval = 0.8579-0.9650, P < 0.0001). The lowest oxygen saturation also showed high correlation (r = 0.989; 95% confidence interval = 0.9773-0.9947, P < 0.0001). The overall polysomnogram and WatchPAT sleep times revealed a correlation of r = 0.5815 (P = 0.005). CONCLUSION: The WatchPAT showed a high correlation with the polysomnogram in apnea-hypopnea index, lowest oxygen saturation, and sleep time. SIGNIFICANCE: It's use as a reliable tool in the diagnosis of Obstructive Sleep Apnea.     

Pre- and postoperative sequential study on the serum gastrin level in patients with lung cancer.

Serial changes in serum gastrin level were detected by radioimmunoassay in 58 lung cancer patients before and after operation. In comparing these tests with those of 40 cases of noncancerous thoracic lesions and 151 normal adults, the serum gastrin from lung cancer patients is significantly higher than that of noncancerous thoracic lesions and normal individuals (P less than 0.01). The gastrin level is closely related to stage of cancer, size of primary tumor, presence of lymph node metastasis, and type of histological classification. The serum gastrin was found to decrease gradually after the removal of the tumor and to return to normal on the 14th postoperative day. Those patients whose serum gastrin level can return to normal on the 14th postoperative day will have a good prognosis; if not, their prognosis will be very poor. These results suggest that serum from patients with lung cancer contains a high concentration of gastrin that can help differentiate benign from malignant thoracic lesions and evaluate prognosis of patients with lung cancer. Therefore, the cause of high serum gastrin in patients with lung cancer is likely due to the gastrin-producing property of the lung cancer cells.     

对社区家庭病床工作有效工时的调查分析

目的　掌握社区家庭病床人力成本使用现状 ,探索合理使用社区家庭病床人力资源 ,进一步合理地提高社区家庭病床成本回报率。方法　采用问卷形式 ,抽样调查了上海闸北区 3个社区医院中全部家庭病床医生日工作时间。结果　社区家庭病床中 ,家庭服务占全日工作时间的 35 75 %。在社区卫生服务站诊疗和其他服务的工作时间分别为 2 8 2 0 %和 36 0 5 %。结论　社区家庭病床医生人力资源使用效率不高 ,并存在社区家庭病床服务项目利用不合理现象 ,为进一步调整社区家庭病床服务内容和适宜工作量标准提供了依据
