A 66-year-old Japanese man was referred to our hospital with multiple giant liver cysts. The cysts had already been detected as multiple 3-cm cysts with small nodules at another hospital 12 years prior to this presentation. The cysts were diagnosed as an intraductal papillary neoplasms of the bile duct (IPNB) occupying the right lobe of the liver. Extended right lobectomy was performed. Based on the pathological findings, the tumor was diagnosed to be an oncocytic-type IPNB with minimal invasion. This experience suggests that the progression of IPNBs occur relatively slowly. The present case might provide important information for understanding the natural history of IPNBs.  相似文献

Oxazolomycin A and neooxazolomycin were firstly isolated in 1985 by the group of Uemura et al. from the Streptomyces sp. bacteria. To date, there have been reported 15 different natural compounds commonly classified as part of the oxazolomycin family. All oxazolomycin compounds possess extraordinary structures and they represent a synthetic challenge. Such molecules are additionally known for their wide range of biological activity including antibacterial, antiviral and cytotoxic effects. The present review summarizes the structural elucidation and classification of oxazolomycin compounds, their biosynthesis and biological activity. It is further focused on the total syntheses of oxazolomycins and one formal synthesis reported to date.

There appears to be much confusion or misinformation worldwide regarding mouthguards and their use in sports. In an effort to clarify where the international dental community stands on mouthguards and mouthguard research, the workshop looked at some important questions. The goal was to one day formulate consensus statements related to these questions, which will be based on current scientific evidence‐based research, to motivate the international community of the importance of dentally fitted laminated mouthguards and the wearing of them by athletes of all sports. There are only five sports in the United States that require the use of mouthguards. If, through workshops such as this, the importance of wearing dentally fitted laminated mouthguards can be demonstrated, then more sports may require their athletes to wear them.  相似文献
