Background: In the last few years, there has been increasing demand for aesthetic procedures to improve the effects of skin aging.
Aim: To evaluate the anti-aging efficacy, tolerability and skin changes induced by the topical products containing hyaluronic acid, N-acetyl glucosamine and gamma-amino butyric acid through instrumental techniques, clinical and subjective evaluation.
Patients/Method: Twenty female enrolled applied a day and night cream after applying a serum, once week applied a mask, for 2 months. A clinical assessment of smoothness, expression wrinkles, fine wrinkles and measurements of the parameters using Reveal Imager, X-Rite, Corneometer, Dermalab, Moisture Meter EpiD were taken at day 0, 15, 30 and 60 of study period. A final assessment questionnaire was submitted.
Results: The products were accepted by all the volunteers. The hydration (Corneometer: T0 49.17 vs T60 61.11, average variation 24.28%) (Moisture Meter EpiD: T0 45.73 vs T60 61.10, average variation 33.60%), elasticity (Dermalab: T0 56.06 vs T60 62.78, average variation 11.98%) and lightening of the skin (X-Rite: T0 60.23 vs T60 63.36, average variation 5.26%) improved. All changes were statistically significant (p < 0.05).
Conclusion: The efficacy of the topical products is confirmed by subjective, clinical and instrumental assessment. This should be a routine approach in dermatologic practice. 相似文献
Introduction: Present surgical techniques are rarely relying on intestinal intramural vascular anastomoses; however, this could open new limits in reconstructive surgery. Our aim was to study the efficacy of the antimesenteric and the longitudinal intramural vascular anastomoses in a porcine model. Material and Methods: Five minipigs were used. Antimesenteric anastomoses: jejunal loops were detubularized by cutting along the antimesenteric line (Control), in the middle between the mesenteric and antimesenteric border (Group 1) and close to the mesenteric line (Group 2). Mucosal microcirculation (red blood cell velocity, perfusion rate) was recorded with orthogonal polarization spectral imaging (Cytoscan A/R) at the long edge of the detubularized bowel. Longitudinal anastomoses: records were made on a continuous jejunal loop following antimesenteric incision, detubularization, and subsequent ligation of 2, 4, and 6 neighboring vasa recta in the middle of the loop. The same study was repeated on the free end of completely divided jejunal segments with ligation of 2, 4, or 6 vasa recta. Results: Antimesenteric anastomoses: There was no statistically significant difference in red blood cell velocity and perfusion rate between Control and Groups 1 and 2. Longitudinal anastomoses: The red blood cell velocity dropped significantly, while the perfusion rate did not change significantly after ligation of 4 vasa recta in the continuous loop. In the loop with a free end, however, both parameters decreased significantly after ligation of four vessels. Conclusion: It is safe to rely on antimesenteric intramural anastomoses but strong limitation of longitudinal intramural vascular anastomoses should be considered in intestinal reconstructions. 相似文献

Neglect patients' performance during cancellation tasks is characterized by left sided omissions and, in many cases, by the production of inappropriate material of various kinds in the ipsilesional space, e.g. additional marks over already cancelled targets, marks drawn away from targets, scribbles, irrelevant drawings. It is unclear whether these behaviours, which have collectively been called perseverative, are functionally and anatomically connected and whether they correlate with the severity of neglect. Here we report a retrospective study on 33 right brain damaged patients with neglect after right hemisphere lesions in whom we measured the intensity of perseveration of the three following kinds: (1) ‘additional marks' (AM) perseveration where patients cancelled a target with two or more well separated marks; (2) ‘scribble’ perseveration, where patients, instead of cancelling the target with a single pen stroke as required by the task, performed multiple pen strokes without breaking the pen-to-paper contact, with the final product being a scribble; (3) ‘flying marks’ (FM) perseveration where patients produced cancellation marks well away from the targets. We found that AM and FM perseveration correlated with neglect severity, while ‘scribble’ perseveration did not. The lesion-symptom mapping showed three separate anatomical areas in the right hemisphere: ‘scribble’ perseveration was associated with lesions of the orbitofrontal cortex and caudate nucleus; AM perseveration was associated with damage to the rolandic operculum, superior temporal gyrus and inferior frontal gyrus; FM perseveration was associated with damage to the dorsal premotor cortex and the temporal pole. Neglect severity followed damage to a region which grossly corresponds to the sum of the regions associated with AM and FM perseveration respectively. This complex behavioural and anatomical pattern is interpreted in terms of a three-factor model, in which AM perseveration is caused by a deficit of disengagement of attention from the right side (also causing omissions), FM perseveration is caused by directional hypokinesia (also causing left-side omissions), and ‘scribble’ perseveration is the consequence of a failure to inhibit an initiated motor act, which is completely separate (both anatomically and functionally) from the disorder inducing omissions. 相似文献
