We present an unusual case of an intracardiac Eustachian valve cyst observed concurrently with atresia of the coronary sinus ostium, a persistent left superior vena cava (LSVC) and a bicuspid aortic valve. There have been several echocardiographic reports of Eustachian valve cysts; however, there is no report of multidetector computed tomography (MDCT) findings related to a Eustachian valve cyst. Recently, we observed a Eustachian valve cyst diagnosed on MDCT showing a hypodense cyst at the characteristic location of the Eustachian valve (the junction of the right atrium and inferior vena cava). MDCT also demonstrated additional cardiovascular anomalies including atresia of the coronary sinus ostium and a persistent LSVC and bicuspid aortic valve. 相似文献

BackgroundThe femoral head split fracture line is usually located in the anterior–inferior portion of the head. Proper fixation is difficult using the conventional approach without tenotomy, and thus, the authors sought to devise an effective, safe, fixation approach for the most common type of head fracture.MethodsAnatomical dissection of 80 femoral triangles was performed. The authors evaluated the locations of femoral nerves, vessels, and branches within femoral triangles. On the basis of these observations we used a new anterior approach via the non-dangerous lateral space of the femoral triangle. This approach was applied to 12 femoral head split fractures treated from 2002 to 2009.ResultsA safe area was found within the femoral triangle at the proximal 17.5–32.5 % of the full length of the rectus femoris. In Brumback type 1A and 2A cases, screws were inserted at right angles relative to the fracture plane through the space.ConclusionsThis study contributes by providing a new technique for femoral head split fractures. This anterior approach using the lateral aspect of femoral triangle provided excellent and good results for Brumback type 1A and 2A femoral head split fractures. Fractional radiofrequency microneedling is a novel radiofrequency technique that uses insulated microneedles to deliver energy to the deep dermis at the point of penetration without destruction of the epidermis. It has been used for the treatment of various dermatological conditions including wrinkles, atrophic scars and hypertrophic scars. There have been few studies evaluating the efficacy of fractional radiofrequency microneedling in the treatment of acne, and none measuring objective parameters like the number of inflammatory and non‐inflammatory acne lesions or sebum excretion levels. The safety and efficacy of fractional radiofrequency microneedling in the treatment of acne vulgaris was investigated. In a prospective clinical trial, 25 patients with moderate to severe acne were treated with fractional radiofrequency microneedling. The procedure was carried out three times at 1‐month intervals. Acne lesion count, subjective satisfaction score, sebum excretion level and adverse effects were assessed at baseline and at 4, 8 and 12 weeks after the first treatment as well as 4, 8 and 12 weeks after the last treatment. Number of acne lesions (inflammatory and non‐inflammatory) decreased. Sebum excretion and subjective satisfaction were more favorable at every time point compared with the baseline values (P < 0.05). Inflammatory lesions responded better than non‐inflammatory lesions (P < 0.05). Adverse effects such as pinpoint bleeding, pain and erythema were noted, but were transient and not severe enough to stop treatment. Fractional radiofrequency microneedling is a safe and effective treatment for acne vulgaris. 相似文献

Activated T cells express inhibitory receptors such as CTLA-4 that can downregulate immune responses. Blockade of or genetic deficiency in CTLA-4 can result in autoimmunity. Therefore, strategies to increase the inhibitory function of CTLA-4 may be attractive in settings of undesirable T cell responses such as autoimmunity or transplant rejection. We have tested the hypothesis that transgenic constitutive expression of CTLA-4 can further attenuate immune responses when compared with normal inducible expression. Our results indicate that transgenic expression of CTLA-4 in mouse T cells (CTLA-4-Tg T cells) results in reduced cell cycle progression and increased apoptosis of TCR-stimulated T cells. CTLA-4-Tg T cells display reduced T cell proliferation in an in vivo model of graft versus host disease (GVHD). These results further our understanding of how CTLA-4 can be manipulated to inhibit immune responses and may help development of new therapeutic strategies for clinical settings of autoimmunity and transplantation. 相似文献

The chitosan-caffeic acid (CCA) conjugate shows a hepatoprotective effect against oxidative stress-induced hepatic damage in cultured hepatocytes. The objective of this study is the verification of the hepatoprotective effect of the CCA in vivo against ethanol-induced liver injury in mice. The administration of ethanol resulted in the increase of the serum-aminotransferase activities (AST and ALT), triglycerides, total cholesterol, and lipid peroxidation. The CCA co-administration, however, significantly (p < 0.05) ameliorated these serum biomarkers. The antioxidant-enzyme activities in the liver tissue, including those of superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), and glutathione peroxidase (GPx), were significantly decreased by a chronic ethanol administration, whereas the hepatic lipid-peroxidation level was increased. Moreover, the chronic ethanol administration elevated the gene expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as tumor-necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and interleukin-6 (IL-6) in the liver tissue. The CCA co-administration, however, significantly (p < 0.05) increased the activities of the SOD, CAT, and GPx and caused the down-regulation of the TNF-α- and IL-6-gene expressions in the liver tissue. An histopathologic evaluation also supported the hepatoprotective effect of the CCA against ethanol-induced hepatotoxicity in the mice. 相似文献

目的探讨大学生人格变化与所处年级的关系。方法采用卡特尔人格问卷(16PF)对浙江农林大学健康管理专业大一至大三104名学生进行为期一学年前后测评。结果①具有统计学显著性变异的人格因子一年级有:C(t=2.079,P<0.05)、E(t=-3.606,P<0.01)、G(t=-2.456,P<0.05)、L(t=-4.86,P<0.01)、Q3(t=2.447,P<0.05)、Q4(t=-2.893,P<0.01);二年级有:E(t=-3.438,P<0.01)、I(t=3.369,P<0.01)、X3(t=-3.747,P<0.01)、Y2(t=-2.5277,P<0.05);三年级有:E((t=-2.832,P<0.01)、M(t=-3.092,P<0.01)、Q1(t=-2.361,P<0.05)、X4(t=-4.629,P<0.01)、Y2(t=-2.603,P<0.05);②不同年级相比,变异程度大的人格因子主要有C(t=-2.103,P<0.05)、I(t=2.321,P<0.05)、X1(t=2.25,P<0.05)、X3(t=-2.052,P<0.05);Q4(t=2.081,P<0.05)、X4(t=-2.322~-2.143,P<0.05)。结论大学生人格变异具有年级特点,一年级人格因子值提高的有C、Q3;降低的有E、G、L、Q4;二年级提高的有I,降低的有E、X3、Y2;三年级人格因子值降低的有E、M、Q1、X4、Y2。并且,情绪性因子变异程度较大。 相似文献
