Automated mapping of the heart electrical potentials in myocardial infarct patients

A method is developed for automated cartography of the heart's electric potentials from 90 points on the chest surface. The input data program determines characteristic QRS profiles on the basis of change in the value of the first derivative, labelling the identifiable characteristic outlines, computes the gradients for Q/R, R/S amplitude ratios for every element of the field and estimates zone area for each gradient and mean Q, R, S wave amplitudes for all points within the field.     

Atrial electrocardiotopogram in acute myocardial infarct complicated by heart failure

Atrial electrocardiotopography is shown to be a fairly informative non-invasive method for both the detection of heart failure and the assessment of its severity. Its findings were verified by conventional invasive and non-invasive procedures. Moderate left-ventricular heart failure was only associated with increased total left-atrial electrical activity, while marked heart failure also involved an expanded negative P wave projection zone and a greater total magnitude of right-atrial potentials.     

Cellular immunity in patients with ulcerous forms of chronic pyoderma undergoing treatment

Clinical and immunologic examinations of 55 patients suffering from ulcerous forms of chronic pyoderma have revealed increased counts of the peripheral blood theophylline-sensitive T-lymphocytes before therapy. A decrease of the level of this subpopulation, mainly responsible for the suppressor-cytotoxic function of T-cells, during combined therapy including prospidin is suggestive of an immunocorrecting effect of this drug.
