Immunohistochemical localization of somatotropin receptors in rat liver cells. Effect of sex and hormonal status

Peculiarities of cell and tissue distribution of somatotropin receptors in liver cells of male rats and intact, pregnant, and estrogenized female rats is studied using an indirect immunohistochemical method. Experiments reveal equal and positively regulated by female hormones expression of somatotropin receptors in all hepatocytes. Effect of platinum-containing cytostatics on rat progeny

Pathological changes in internal organs are seen in some offspring of intact females and males treated with platidiam 1 month before mating. One case of malformation was found in the progeny of cytostatic-treated females. High embryonal mortality is noted in animals treated with cytostatics 3 and 6 months before mating. Delayed ossification is observed in some animals of almost all experiments groups. Morphological manifestations of large cell anaplastic Ki1(CD30)-positive lymphoma in children

Classic morphological and lymphohistiocytic variant were found in 46 and 2 cases, respectively, of 49 LCAL cases studied pathohistologically. One patient had a variant with a predominance of small tumor cells. Ultrastructurally, cells with feature of histiocytic and lymphoid differentiation and undifferentiated cells in various proportions were observed.     

The prostacyclin-thromboxane system and thrombocytic-vascular hemostasis in patients with ischemic heart disease in the preoperative period]

Prostacyclin-thromboxane system (PTS) and platelet-vascular hemostasis have been studied in the preoperative period in 35 ischemic patients. A marked PTS disbalance with predominance of plasma thromboxane has been found. It has been established that in patients with postinfarction cardiosclerosis plasma prostacyclin content was significantly higher than in patients without myocardial infarction. The study of platelet function has demonstrated normal platelet aggregation rate and an increased level of beta-thromboglobulin in the blood of ischemic patients. Acetylsalicylic acid (250 mg/daily) was used for the correction of the disturbances observed, it reduced platelet aggregation, but had no effect on PTS and platelet release.
