Hepatic regeneration in alloxan-induced diabetic rats that underwent a 70% hepatectomy was compared to that of a series of non-treated rats. In diabetic rats, hepatic regeneration is lower and the liver reaches only 70% of the original weight ten days after hepatectomy. Analytical studies in these rats show a diminution of insulin and glucagon. Hepatic microcirculation as shown by measurements of CLV-CLV and CLV area undergoes changes which evolve at a different rate in the central and peripheral zones of the liver. These findings as well as the diminished hepatic regeneration may be attributed to the diminution of the insulin and glucagon values. Insulin and glucagon may be responsible for hepatic regeneration.  相似文献

目的胰腺间变癌是少见的胰腺外分泌恶性肿瘤,本文探讨其临床病理学特点。方法回顾性分析6例胰腺间变癌的临床特点并结合文献讨论。结果本组6例,其中男5例,女1例,年龄4j~74岁。肿瘤位于胰头3例,胰体尾3例。行胰头十二指肠切除术3例,其中1例作肠系膜上静脉切除重建术,另1例同时行肠系膜上动、静脉切除重建术。3例胰体尾肿块,2例行胰体尾切除、脾切除术.另1例肿瘤已侵犯周围脏器,行全胃、结肠脾曲、腹腔动脉切除术。病理检查:肿瘤细胞呈多形性.可见圆形、卵圆形、多边形和梭形的肿瘤细胞,核大深染,异型明显,也可见巨核或多核的瘤巨细胞及破骨细胞样巨细胞。随访5例,术后平均生存5.5月.均死于肿瘤腹腔内和肝脏转移。结论胰腺间变癌组织学特点为肿瘤细胞的多形性,并可见巨核或多核的巨细胞或破骨细胞样巨细胞.呈侵袭性生长,易侵犯周围脏器、大血管和发生肝脏、淋巴结转移,恶性程度高,预后差。  相似文献

Pediatric patients present changing physiological features. Because of the lack of land suitable for commercial management, pediatric specialties very often need to prepare extemporaneous formulations to improve the dosage and administration of drugs for children. Oral liquid formulations are the most suitable for pediatric patients. Clonidine is widely used in the pediatric population for opioid withdrawal, hypertensive crisis, attention deficit disorders and hyperactivity syndrome, and as an analgesic in neuropathic cancer pain. The objective was to study the physicochemical and microbiological stability and determine the shelf life of an oral solution containing 20?µg/mL clonidine hydrochloride in different storage conditions (5?±?3?°C, 25?±?3?°C, and 40?±?2?°C). Using raw material with excipients safe for all pediatric age groups, two oral liquid formulations of clonidine hydrochloride were designed (with and without preservatives). Solutions stored at 5?±?3?°C (with and without preservatives) were physically and microbiologically stable for at least 90?days in closed containers and for 42?days after opening. Two oral solutions of clonidine hydrochloride 20?µg/mL were developed for pediatric use from raw materials that are readily available and easy to process, containing safe excipients that are stable over a long period of time.  相似文献

New cases of Pneumocystis jirovecii pneumonia (PJP) have recently been reported in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) after rituximab therapy. Several factors may contribute to susceptibility to P. jirovecii infection in this type of patients, including the immunological characteristics of the disease, the mechanisms of rituximab action, environmental factors, and the biological characteristics of the fungus. We report two patients with SLE who developed PJP after rituximab therapy.  相似文献

Nature is integrated, being simultaneously controlled by different natural aspects. Genetics, bioinformatics, biostatistics and geology are four diverse and broad scientific disciplines. But we believe that these can offer important insights into species distribution and evolution, if integrated. This perspective is grounded on a case study of the family Salvadoraceae, where species distribution and phylogeny show high correlation with the geological records. The results obtained from published and ongoing research indicate that we are pointing toward better visualizing the overlapping boundaries of these specific disciplines, which will be able to more accurately answer key evolutionary questions. We highlight: (1) the combined application of bedrock-soil geological data and bioinformatics to resolve evolutionary questions regarding species eco-distribution, niche prediction and bio-evolution; and (2) signifies the importance of relaxing boundaries between the disciplines to come to a better conclusion on species diversity and distribution-driven controls. Overall, we express and briefly explain our hypothesis to integrate modern analytical tools, viz., statistical correlation of geological data via. geo-statistics (Geo), and spatiotemporal biostatistics via. geo-informatics (Geo), with gene-based paleontological shreds of evidence, and sequence-based bioinformatics, to devise a practical analysis tool, namely “Geo2 gene-bioinformatics”. We invoke the development of algorithms through computational-based programs that can provide useful correlations to understand evolutionary systematics and phylogeny, species distribution, and niche prediction.
