吸收度线性组合法进一步探索

本文比较了线性组合法和正交函数法两种计算分光光度法对乳糖干扰下盐酸麻黄素的测定。实验结果表明,同样的数据,线性组合法的精度比正交函数法提高约十倍,从而在理论和实践上都证实了线性组合法在改善精度方面的优越性。同时也讨论了测试点数,以及个别测试点测定精度对组合法总体测定精度的影响,给出了最佳组合方式,反映了组合法简易的特点。     

The infant hip: real-time US assessment of acetabular development

Until recently, radiography was the only available means of assessing acetabular development in infants with congenital hip dysplasia. Now that real-time ultrasonography (US) is successfully employed to determine hip position in infancy, it also offers an alternative method for evaluating acetabular development. In a review of 377 US studies of infant hips, the coronal-flexion images, which show a coronal section of the acetabulum with the hip in flexion, were measured to determine the percentage of the femoral head that was covered. Radiographs were measured to determine the acetabular index (angle). Acetabuli with indices exceeding the normal range for the subject's age showed head coverage of less than 33%. The 51 sonograms in this category were all associated with clinical abnormalities, whereas the 107 with coverage greater than 58% were associated with no clinical abnormalities and with consistently normal acetabular indices. The use of US in assessing acetabular development warrants continued investigation.     

Young child feeding in a rural area in the Red River delta, Vietnam

Infant and young child feeding practices were investigated in a sample survey (1132 mothers) in a rural area in northern Vietnam. Pre-lacteal feeding was almost universal. Mean duration of breast feeding was 17 months, but foods other than breast milk were introduced early. Only 50% of infants between 3 and 5 months of age were predominantly breast fed. The educational level of the mother was strongly associated with breast feeding duration, with illiterate mothers breast feeding the longest. Christian mothers breast fed for longer than non-Christians. Very few were using feeding bottles at the time of the study, although formulas and bottles have recently been appearing on the local market. The breast feeding pattern described together with the rapidly changing social and economic situation in Vietnam could mean a risk of rapid decline in breast feeding.
