We studied nonlinear dynamics underlying spontaneous rhythmical contractions of isolated rat portal vein. The signals were acquired at four different temperatures important in isolated blood vessels preparations: 4, 22, 37 and 40°C. To characterize the system’s nonlinearity, we calculated the largest Lyapunov exponent, sample entropy and scaling exponents. Evidence for nonlinearity was provided by analysis of surrogate data generated from the phase-randomized Fourier transform of the original sequences. Positive values of the largest Lyapunov exponent were obtained for the time series recorded under applied conditions, indicating that the system preserves its chaotic deterministic nature even far from the physiological temperature range. Scaling exponents revealed three distinctive regions with different correlation properties. The calculated measures that characterize the time series obtained at 4°C were significantly different from those derived from data obtained at higher temperatures. System’s dynamics becomes more complex or less predictable as temperature approaches physiological value. The computation of the largest Lyapunov exponent, sample entropy and correlation measures gave an insight into the complex dynamics of the isolated blood vessels rhythmicity. We identified different modes of rhythmical contractions of isolated rat portal vein which could improve understanding of possible control mechanisms in vivo.  相似文献

Application of cardiac electrostimulation in strictly defined indications has been on the increase over the last few decades. Frequent use of this therapy as well as the fact that it is applied predominantly in patients in the seventh decade of life, implies possible signifficant comorbidities and need for various diagnostic and surgical procedures. These are the reasons we decided to point out certain specific features in approaching this patient group in preparation and implementation of these procedures. Preoperative approach starts with usual patient history, with additional information on the type of pacemaker, last pacemaker check and electrocardiogram. This general approach is not substantialy different for pacemaker or ICD patients. What is specific is the possible interferrence caused by devices used in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures (diathermy, lithotripsy). Complications that may arise are usually related to the underlying disease rather than the pacemaker malfunction, but still, careful approach and pacemaker check are warranted, especially in the group marked as "pacemaker dependent". Adequate preoperative assessment, only slightly different from the usual, represents a sufficient guarantee for safe procedures diagnostic, therapeutic or surgical.  相似文献

Black soybean coat is insufficiently valorised food production waste rich in anthocyanins. The goal of the study was to examine physicochemical properties of spray dried extract of black soybean coat in regard to carrier materials: maltodextrin, gum Arabic, and skimmed milk powder. Maltodextrin and gum Arabic-based microparticles were spherical and non-porous while skimmed milk powder-based were irregularly shaped. Low water activity of microparticles (0.31–0.33), good powders characteristics, high solubility (80.3–94.3%) and encapsulation yields (63.7–77.0%) were determined. All microparticles exhibited significant antioxidant capacity (243–386 μmolTE/g), good colour stability after three months of storage and antimicrobial activity. High content of total anthocyanins, with cyanidin-3-glucoside as predominant, were achieved. In vitro release of anthocyanins from microparticles was sustained, particularly from gum Arabic-based. These findings suggest that proposed simple eco-friendly extraction and microencapsulation procedures could serve as valuable tools for valorisation and conversion of black soybean coat into highly functional and stable food colourant.  相似文献

Almost all the studies of athlete's heart have been carried out on adult and older adolescent players; hence the limited data on the cardiac response to exercise in the beginning of the active sports career in the youngest athletes. The study was designed to examine the physiological limits of left ventricle (LV) cavity size and wall thickness in elite footballers at the preadolescent age, it the beginning of the active sports career. Ninety-four highly trained male footballers (mean aged 12.85 ± 0.84) competing in the Serbian Football League and 47 age-matched healthy male controls, aged 12–14, were enrolled in the study. All the echocardiographic findings were adjusted to BSA?0.5, while left ventricle mass (LVM) was additionally adjusted to BSA?1.5. Reference ranges were defined as values of 5–95th centile according to the mean values in both groups. The proportions of the footballers with LV dimensions outside expected ranges were additionally noted. The data indicate significant increases in absolute values of LV dimensions, aortic root size and left atrium (p < 0.001) in preadolescent professional footballers compared with the values expected for age-matched controls, whereas there are no differences in absolute values of ventricular septal and posterior wall thickness, LV wall thickness and LVM (p > 0.05). Upon body-size adjustments, significant increases were observed in all echocardiographic parameters (p < 0.001). Our data indicate an early cardiac remodeling, already apparent in preadolescence, even after a short period of training.  相似文献

Dependence of heart rate variability on heart period in disease and aging   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
The aim of this study was to compare the dependence of heart rate variability (HRV) on heart period (RR interval length) under different physiological and pathological states in order to detect changes in HR modulation. The dependence of HRV on the RR interval length in healthy elderly subjects, congestive heart failure (CHF) patients and one patient with a transplanted heart (T) was compared with healthy young subjects. Spectral powers, sample entropy (SampEn) and short-term fractal scaling exponent (alpha1) were determined from 24 h free-running recordings. For the same HR, HRV measures were different in different groups. In healthy subjects HRV measures depended on RR interval length and all spectral powers were highly correlated, although reduced in elderly subjects. SampEn at high HR was the most sensitive quantity to changes induced by aging. In disease, CHF and T, an achievable HR range was decreased, all spectral powers were reduced, but correlated, and the dependence of HRV measures on RR was lost. There was an evident difference in the dependence of nonlinear on linear measures between young subjects and all the other studied groups. In disease the reduction in autonomic control was associated with the decrease in short-range correlation and regularity in RR series. We have concluded that the analysis of HRV measures as functions of RR interval length can reveal important aspects of HR control that might be lost in averaging.  相似文献
