研究了不同剂量乙醇对小鼠抗氧化和解毒功能的影响以及阿魏酸钠的拮抗作用。结果表明,大剂量乙醇(11.4g·kg-1ig)引起肝脏GSH-Px活性升高的同时,肝脏GSH-Re,SOD和GST活性降低,GSH耗竭,而血清GST升高;阿魏酸钠(100mg·kg-1ig,qd×10)预处理则明显拮抗大剂量乙醇所致的上述改变。表明阿魏酸钠对急性乙醇所致肝损害具有良好保护作用,其机理可能与提高GSH氧化还原酶功能、增加SOD活性和增强GSH结合反应有关。研究结果还提示,血清GST水平是反映乙醇性肝损害的灵敏指标。  相似文献

Recent advances in MRI have made this modality an important tool for evaluating heart disease. Faster scanning techniques, high spatial resolution, lack of ionizing radiation, lack of dependence on contrast material, and capability for functional imaging have made it an emerging noninvasive diagnostic tool with great potential in younger patients with heart disease. This article discusses the role of cardiac MRI, methods of evaluation, and newer application of MRI in evaluating congenital heart disease in pediatric and young adult patients.  相似文献

Magic-angle spinning (MAS) solid-state NMR (SSNMR) techniques have emerged in recent years for solving complete structures of uniformly labeled proteins lacking macroscopic order. Strategies used thus far have relied primarily on semiquantitative distance restraints, analogous to the nuclear Overhauser effect (NOE) routinely used in solution NMR. Here, we present a complementary approach for using relative orientations of molecular fragments, determined from dipolar line shapes. Whereas SSNMR distance restraints typically have an uncertainty of approximately 1 A, the tensor-based experiments report on relative vector (pseudobond) angles with precision of a few degrees. By using 3D techniques of this type, vector angle (VEAN) restraints were determined for the majority of the 56-residue B1 immunoglobulin binding domain of protein G [protein GB1 (a total of 47 HN-HN, 49 HN-HC, and 12 HA-HB restraints)]. By using distance restraints alone in the structure calculations, the overall backbone root-mean-square deviation (bbRMSD) was 1.01 +/- 0.13 A (1.52 +/- 0.12 A for all heavy atoms), which improved to 0.49 +/- 0.05 A (1.19 +/- 0.07 A) on the addition of empirical chemical shift [torsion angle likelihood obtained from shift and sequence similarity (TALOS)] restraints. VEAN restraints further improved the ensemble to 0.31 +/- 0.06 A bbRMSD (1.06 +/- 0.07 A); relative to the structure with distances alone, most of the improvement remained (bbRMSD 0.64 +/- 0.09 A; 1.29 +/- 0.07 A) when TALOS restraints were removed before refinement. These results represent significant progress toward atomic-resolution protein structure determination by SSNMR, capabilities that can be applied to a large range of membrane proteins and fibrils, which are often not amenable to solution NMR or x-ray crystallography.  相似文献

The present study was proposed to investigate the effect of rifaximin (RFX) on methyl nitrosourea (MNU) induced mammary gland carcinoma in albino wistar rats. Animals were randomized and divided among four groups of six animals each. Group I (control 0.9% normal saline, 3 ml kg−1, p.o.); Group II (toxic control, MNU 47 mg kg−1, i.v.); Group III (RFX, 25 mg kg−1, p.o.); Group IV (RFX, 50 mg kg−1, p.o.). Toxicity was induced by single i.v. injection of MNU. MNU treatment was evident with increased alveolar bud count, differentiation score, up-regulated inflammatory enzyme markers (COX, LOX, NO and H2S) and oxidative stress markers (TBAR''s, protein carbonyl, SOD, catalase and Ach). The mammary gland surface architecture was studied using SEM, carmine staining and H&E staining. The treatment with RFX elicited noticeable restoration of the overall histological architecture in the experimental animals similar to the control. In the MNU treated toxic group, the levels of oxidative stress markers significantly increased in comparison to the control, which was subsequently restored after RFX treatment. Furthermore, RFX up regulated the levels of caspase 3 and caspase 8, when compared to the MNU treated animals. MNU associated toxicity was also ascertained, when determined for UCHL-1, COX, NF-κBp65, BAD, and BCL-xl expression, while RFX demonstrated modulation of the same.

Context

To meet the growing need for palliative care in low-resource countries, palliative care programs should be evidence based and contextually appropriate. This study was conducted to synthesize the current evidence to guide future programmatic and research efforts.

Objectives

This systematic review evaluated palliative care outcome measures, outcomes, and interventions in low-resource countries.

Methods

After title searches, abstracts and full-text articles were screened for inclusion. Data were extracted to report on intervention models, outcome measures used, and intervention outcomes.

Results

Eighteen papers were reviewed, reporting on interventions conducted across nine low-resource countries. These interventions evaluated home-based palliative care models; a community-managed model; palliative care integrated with hospitals, hospices, or HIV clinics; and models focused on patients' self-management. Three studies were randomized controlled trials. Other studies used nonrandomized trials, cohort studies, mixed methods, pre-post test evaluation, cost-accounting evaluation, and cross-sectional surveys. Thirteen studies measured physical outcomes, 10 using multidimensional instruments. Nine studies measured psychological outcomes, eight using multidimensional instruments. Nine studies measured social outcomes, seven using multidimensional instruments. Nine studies measured outcomes across multiple domains. Across outcomes evaluated, results were reported in the direction of benefit associated with palliative care interventions.

Conclusion

Many palliative care intervention models exist to serve patients in low-resource countries. Yet, limited high-quality evidence from low-resource countries is available to document intervention outcomes. Rigorous experimental studies and greater measurement of multidimensional aspects of palliative care are needed to advance the science of palliative care in low-resource settings.  相似文献
