The changes of the interspace angle after anterior correction and instrumentation in adolescent idiopathic scoliosis patients

Background  

In idiopathic scoliosis patients, after anterior spinal fusion and instrumentation, the discs (interspace angle) between the lowest instrumented vertebra (LIV) and the next caudal vertebra became more wedged. We reviewed these patients and analyzed the changes of the angle.     

Antigens of Mycobacterium tuberculosis Recognized by Antibodies during Incipient, Subclinical Tuberculosis

Serum samples obtained from human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-infected tuberculosis (TB) patients months prior to clinical TB were used to delineate the profile of Mycobacterium tuberculosis culture filtrate proteins recognized during subclinical TB. A subset of ~12 antigens was recognized by antibodies in these serum samples. Antibodies to two of these antigens (81 [88]-kDa malate synthase [GlcB] and MPT51) were present in serum samples obtained during incipient subclinical TB in 19 (~90%) of the 21 HIV-infected TB patients tested. These antigens will be useful for devising diagnostic tests that can identify HIV-positive individuals who are at a high risk for developing clinical TB.     

CLINICAL EXPERIENCE WITH LEVONORGESTREL AND ETHINYL ESTRADIOL IN BEIJING

A combination of levonorgestrel 0.15mg and ethinyl estradiol 0.03mg, an ultra-low dose oral con traceptive in pellet form, was tried out in 9 Beijing clinics. A total of l,035 healthy women of reproduc tive age participated in 9,413 cycles of treatment. Only one pregnancy was attributed to medication failure which resulted in a corrected Pearl index of 0.13/100 women-year. The incidence of breakthrough bleeding and amenorrhea was 0.12% and 0.05% res pectively. Using the life-table method, the net cumulative rate of termination due to medical-related reasons at one year was only 5.93/100 women. The incidence of side effects was low. The most frequent complaints were nausea and drowsiness, which re duced with the increase of treatment cycles. Some metabolic changes were studied. In comparison with other OCs used in China, this formula has the advantages of ultra-low-dose steroids with higher contraceptive efficacy, better cycle control and fewer side effects.     

核素显像对小儿消化道出血的病因诊断

目的探讨核素显像对小儿消化道出血，特别是对Ｍｅｃｋｅｌ憩室、肠重复畸形的病因诊断的价值。方法对２６例腹痛、便血为主要症状的患儿行９９ｍ锝酸盐（９９ｍＴｃＯ－４）显像，其中１２例显像阴性者于检查后２４小时有活动性出血者，再行９９ｍ锝标记红细胞显像。所有病例的诊断均经手术、病理及内窥镜等检查所证实。结果９９ｍＴｃＯ－４显像诊断Ｍｅｃｋｅｌ憩室和肠重复畸形的敏感性、特异性、准确性分别为８５．７％（１２／１４）、９１．７％（１１／１２）及８８．５％（２３／２６）。结论核素显像具有无创、方法简单易行等特点，特别是对异位胃粘膜诊断具有较好的灵敏性和特异性。核素显像可作为下消化道出血病因诊断的有效方法。     

红霉素对犬幽门括约肌压力影响及其与胃动素,生长抑素的关系

为探讨红霉素对犬幽门括约肌的作用及其机理，及其与血浆胃动素，生长抑素的关系。方法采用胃压力测量仪及放射免疫法，同步监测观察了１０条犬静脉滴ＥＭ前后和使用拮抗剂后的幽门压力、血浆ＭＴＬ，ＳＳ的变化，结论：ＥＭ具有增高犬胃幽门压力的作用，其作用机理除与血浆ＭＴＬ有着密切的关系外，血浆ＳＳ也可能共同参与了其调节机制。     

慢性肺心病左心功能探讨

通过42例重型肺心病、7例轻型肺心病、16例肺心病伴发冠心病患者和30例正常人在静息状态下的左右心脏射血分数及其临床资料的分析表明,重型肺心病患者在病情的急性发作期,存在有不同程度的左心功能不全,而轻型肺心病患者则无左心功能不全的表现。表明慢性肺心病仅在病程晚期,才由以右心为主的疾病发展成为全心病。本文还对重型肺心病与肺心病伴发冠心病患者的左心功能进行比较,结果表明,肺心病伴发冠心病患者左室功能受损程度更为明显,双重病因导致的左室功能减退,常造成心肌更严重的损害而且不容易恢复。     

深低温停循环逆行脑灌注脑组织自由基变化的实验研究

研究深低温停循环（ＤＨＣＡ）与逆行脑灌注（ＲＣＰ）时脑组织自由基的变化。健康杂种犬１４只，随机等分为ＤＨＣＡ组和ＲＣＰ组，在停循环前（Ａ点）、ＤＨＣＡ／ＲＣＰ３０分（Ｂ点）、ＤＨＣＡ／ＲＣＰ６０分（Ｃ点）ＤＨＣＡ／ＲＣＰ９０分（Ｄ眯）和复温再灌注３０分（Ｅ点）取脑皮层ｌｇ，检测丙二醛（ＭＤＡ）和超氧化物歧化酶（ＳＯＤ）水平。结果见两组在Ａ点ＭＤＡ和ＳＯＤ无差别。在Ｂ、Ｃ、Ｄ、Ｅ点，ＤＨＣＡ组ＭＤＡ     

高频电磁场对工人行为功能的影响

采用世界卫生组织推荐的神经行为核心测试组合（ＷＨＯ－ＮＣＴＢ），对高频作业工人４１名（平均工龄１３．９ａ（年）及年龄、性别、文化程度与接触组相匹配的对照组工人３９名（平均工龄１３．３ａ）分别进行了行为功能测试。结果表明高频作业工人部分情感状态得分和某些行为功能得分与对照组相比差异有显著性。长期接触高频电磁场可能引起工人情感状态改变，记忆力减退、注意力分散及心理运动稳定度下降。     

特异性DNA倍增技术检测t-PA cDNA基因在表达细胞中的稳定性

利用特异性DNA倍增技术(polymerase chain Reaction,PCR)检测t-PA cDNA基因在表达细胞基因组中的稳定性,并对所得的PCR反应产物进行了限制性内切酶片段、分子杂交和核苷酸顺序分析等方面的研究,证实了t-PA cDNA基因已插入到表达细胞染色体中。这种方法快速、简便、灵敏度和特异性高,是检测基因工程表达细胞中cDNA基因稳定整合状况的好方法。
