HEMOGLOBIN CONSTANT SPR,INfG (I-IbCS) AND CS TYPE HEMOGLOBIN H DXSEASE A 3 FAMILY SURVEY

Patients with an unusual hemoglobin H (Ilb H) disease were found among members of 3 fa- milies living in GuangXj province. In additiou to Hb H, a small amount of slaw-moving ab- normal Hb was found in these patients. As a rule, 1 0f the patients' parents was found to have a-thalassemia-i a.nd another had this dc- tectable slow-moving component. Patients' si- blings may be divided inta 3 grOuPS: normal persons, patients with rz-thalassemia-l and car- riers of the slow-moving Hb. This slow-moving componenfiis identified as an a-ch;tin variant by the hybridization method. According to bioche- mical, genetic, anthrOPologic and medical know- ledge, the a-chain variant is characterized as llh CS and this unusual disease as CS type Hb lf tliscase. The significance of detecting Hb CS in unmarried young adults for premarital advice is discussed.     

1例慢泳血红蛋白携带者报告

目的:对参加生物化学实验教学的学生进行异常血红蛋白筛查.方法:采用醋酸纤维薄膜进行异常血红蛋白(Hemoglobin,Hb)筛查,对异常血样进行血红蛋白百分含量测定、HbA2定量及家系分析等方法进行进一步验证.结果:在2003级本科学生中发现了1例异常血红蛋白携带者,其血样经过电泳确定其为稳定型慢泳β链异常血红蛋白.结论:此病例的发现,丰富了科学研究的资料,也提高了学生的学习兴趣.
