Foreign body granuloma of the vocal cords

The relationship between the granulomata developing on the vocal cord and the damage associated with prolonged unduly traumatic endotracheal intubation is well documented (Donnely et al, 1948, and Myerson, 1953). Another potential etiological factor could be a foreign body implanted into the vocal cords during intubation. We are reporting a case of granuloma over the vocal cord caused by a retained piece of a ruptured cuff of an endotracheal tube.     

Contrast laryngography

A series of 108 Cases of various lesions of the larynx were investigated. The radiological findings are compared with the clinical findings and discussed in detail.
