Background

Aim of the study was to find out which myocardial repolarization parameters predict reperfusion ventricular tachycardia and fibrillation (VT/VF) and determine how these parameters express in ECG.

Methods

Coronary occlusion and reperfusion (30/30 min) was induced in 24 cats. Local activation and end of repolarization times (RT) were measured in 88 intramyocardial leads. Computer simulations of precordial electrograms were performed.

Results

Reperfusion VT/VF developed in 10 animals. Arrhythmia-susceptible animals had longer RTs in perfused areas [183(177;202) vs 154(140;170) ms in susceptible and resistant animals, respectively, P < 0.05]. In logistic regression analysis, VT/VFs were associated with prolonged RTs in the perfused area (OR 1.068; 95% CI 1.012–1.128; P = 0.017). Simulations demonstrated that prolonged repolarization in the perfused/border zone caused precordial terminal T-wave inversion.

Conclusions

The reperfusion VT/VFs were independently predicted by the longer RT in the perfused zone, which was reflected in the terminal negative phase of the electrocardiographic T-wave.  相似文献

Herein, we report the results of study of Anopheles species in Primorsk and Khabarovsk regions of Russia. Three species of the Anopheles hyrcanus group: An. kleini, An. pullus, and An. lesteri were identified by molecular taxonomic diagnostics for the first time in Russia. Surprisingly, An. sinensis, which earlier was considered the only species of Anopheles in Russian Far East, was not observed. We analyzed nucleotide variation in the 610-bp fragment of the 5′ end of the cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (COI) region. All species possessed a distinctive set of COI sequences. A maximum likelihood phylogenetic tree was constructed for members of the hyrcanus group. The examined Anopheles hyrcanus group members could be divided into two major subgroups: subgroup 1 (An. hyrcanus and An. pullus) and subgroup 2 (An. sinensis, An. kleini, and An. lesteri), which were found to be monophyletic.  相似文献

An appropriate immune response against a specific pathogen requires finely orchestrated interactions between the various cell populations within the immune system. At the same time, immunological tolerance to self must be maintained. DCs play an essential role in achieving these dual requisites. They coordinate adaptive immunity by integrating signals directly emanating from both infectious agents and cells of the immune system. Many such signals, especially those from innate cells and T cells, have been extensively characterized. In contrast, little is known about how B cells modulate function of DCs. B cells produce a variety of cytokines, including IL‐10 and IL‐6, which are known to influence DC function. In addition, Igs constitute the major secretory products of terminally differentiated B cells (plasma cells). DCs express various types of receptors for binding Ig, such as Fc receptors and C‐type lectin receptors. In accordance, Igs can regulate DC function depending on the receptors engaged. Here, we review the emerging immunomodulatory role of cytokines and Ig secreted by B cells. We discuss the evidence for how these B‐cell‐derived factors may shape the adaptive immune response by directly acting on DCs.  相似文献
