ObjectivesWorkplace non-sharps injuries are a common occurrence in a dental school setting. In dentistry, the importance of preventing non-sharps injuries is often overlooked due to emphasis on sharps-related injuries. The aim of this research was to analyse the incidences of non-sharps injuries over an 11-year period in a dental school to identify trends and the possible causative factors for these injuries.MethodsInjury reports lodged with the University of Queensland Workplace Health and Safety databases between 2009 and 2019 were categorised and analysed.ResultsOf 1156 incidents reported, 35.7% (n = 413) were non-sharps injuries, and the most common type of non-sharps injury was general incidents (48.4%, n = 200). The most common body site for injury was the hands (19.4%, n = 80), and the most common location where an injury occurred was in clinical patient care (53.8%, n = 222). The personnel type most at risk of a non-sharps injury fluctuated between students and staff throughout the study period.ConclusionsAll personnel, including students and staff, are at similar risk of experiencing a non-sharps injury within a dental school setting. The equipment and facilities of a dental clinic as well as the level of adherence to safe working procedures are contributing factors. 抗CCT2单克隆抗体博来霉素A6偶联物可吸附胶体金颗粒(McAb-A6-Au)。电镜观察表明,在4℃,1h,表面有McAb-A6-Au颗粒的CEM细胞最高达78%;在37℃,4h,内化McAb-A6-Au颗粒的CEM细胞高达72%。而抗原性无关的U937细胞仅为14%。并且McAb-A6-Au颗粒能直接穿过细胞膜、核膜进入细胞浆和细胞核。37℃,1h已有10~18%的CEM细胞核内有McAb-A 6-Au颗粒。实验结果提示了单抗与博来霉素A6的偶联物与选择性地结合靶细胞,而且进入细胞速度快、穿透力强,有可能成为治疗白血病药物。  相似文献

Oral mucosa is a soft tissue lining the inside of the mouth, protecting the oral cavity from microbiological insults. The mucosal immune system is composed of diverse types of cells that defend against a wide range of pathogens. The pathophysiology of various oral mucosal diseases has been studied mostly by ex vivo histological analysis of harvested specimens. However, to analyze dynamic cellular processes in the oral mucosa, longitudinal in vivo observation of the oral mucosa in a single mouse during pathogenesis is a highly desirable and efficient approach. Herein, by utilizing micro GRIN lens-based rotatory side-view confocal endomicroscopy, we demonstrated non-invasive longitudinal cellular-level in vivo imaging of the oral mucosa, visualizing fluorescently labeled cells including various immune cells, pericytes, nerve cells, and lymphatic and vascular endothelial cells. With rotational and sliding movement of the side-view endomicroscope on the oral mucosa, we successfully achieved a multi-color wide-area cellular-level visualization in a noninvasive manner. By using a transgenic mouse expressing photoconvertible protein, Kaede, we achieved longitudinal repetitive imaging of the same microscopic area in the buccal mucosa of a single mouse for up to 10 days. Finally, we performed longitudinal intravital visualization of the oral mucosa in a DNFB-derived oral contact allergy mouse model, which revealed highly dynamic spatiotemporal changes of CSF1R or LysM expressing immune cells such as monocytes, macrophages, and granulocytes in response to allergic challenge for one week. This technique can be a useful tool to investigate the complex pathophysiology of oral mucosal diseases.  相似文献

In this work, the sputtered deposited WOx/TaOx switching layer has been studied for resistive random-access memory (RRAM) devices. Gradual SET and RESET behaviors with reliable device-to-device variability were obtained with DC voltage sweep cycling without an electroforming process. The memristor shows uniform switching characteristics, low switching voltages, and a high RON/ROFF ratio (~102). The transition from short-term plasticity (STP) to long-term potentiation (LTP) can be observed by increasing the pulse amplitude and number. Spike-rate-dependent plasticity (SRDP) and paired-pulse facilitation (PPF) learning processes were successfully emulated by sequential pulse trains. By reducing the pulse interval, the synaptic weight change increases due to the residual oxygen vacancy near the conductive filaments (CFs). This work explores mimicking the biological synaptic behavior and further development for next-generation neuromorphic applications.  相似文献

BackgroundInformation on the effectiveness of nirmatrelvir/ritonavir against the omicron is limited. The clinical response and viral kinetics to therapy in the real world need to be evaluated.MethodsMild to moderate coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) patients with risk factors for severe illness were prospectively enrolled as a treatment group with nirmatrelvir/ritonavir therapy versus a control group with supportive care. Serial viral load and culture from the upper respiratory tract were evaluated for seven days, and clinical responses and adverse reactions were evaluated for 28 days.ResultsA total of 51 patients were analyzed including 40 in the treatment group and 11 in the control group. Faster symptom resolution during hospitalization (P = 0.048) was observed in the treatment group. Only minor adverse reactions were reported in 27.5% of patients. The viral load on Day 7 was lower in the treatment group (P = 0.002). The viral culture showed a positivity of 67.6% (25/37) vs. 100% (6/6) on Day 1, 0% (0/37) vs. 16.7 (1/6) on Day 5, and 0% (0/16) vs. 50.0% (2/4) on Day 7 in the treatment and control groups, respectively.ConclusionsNirmatrelvir/ritonavir against the omicron was safe and resulted in negative viral culture conversion after Day 5 of treatment with better symptomatic resolution.  相似文献

This work aims to fabricate a large-area ceramic substrate for the application of probe cards. Mullite (M) and cordierite (C), which both have a low thermal expansion coefficient, excellent resistance to thermal shock, and high durability, were selected as starting powders. The mullite–cordierite composites were produced through different composition ratios of starting powders (M:C = 100:0, M:C = 90:10, M:C = 70:30, M:C = 50:50, M:C = 30:70, and M:C = 0:100). The effects of composition ratio and sintering temperature on the density, porosity, thermal expansion coefficient, and flexural strength of the mullite–cordierite composite pellets were investigated. The results showed that the mullite–cordierite composite pellet containing 70 wt% mullite and 30 wt% cordierite sintered at 1350 °C performed exceptionally well. Based on these findings, a large-area mullite–cordierite composite substrate with a diameter of 320 mm for use in semiconductor probe cards was successfully fabricated. Additionally, the changes in sheet resistance and flexural strength were measured to determine the effect of the environmental tests on the large-area substrate such as damp heat and thermal shock. The results indicated that the mullite–cordierite composite substrate was extremely reliable and durable.  相似文献
