In modern society, flexible rechargeable batteries have become a burgeoning apodictic choice for wearable devices. Conventional lithium–sulfur batteries lack sufficient flexibility because their electrode materials are too rigid to bend. Along with the inherent high theoretical capacity of sulfur, lithium–sulfur batteries have some issues, such as dissolution and shuttle effect of polysulfides, which restricts their efficiency and practicability. Here, a flexible and “dead-weight”-free lithium–sulfur battery substrate with a three-dimensional structure was prepared by a simple strategy. With the cooperative assistance of carbon nanotubes and graphene attached to cotton fibers, the lithium–sulfur battery with 2.0 mg cm−2 sulfur provided a high initial discharge capacity of 1098.7 mA h g−1 at 1C, and the decay rate after 300 cycles was only 0.046% per cycle. The initial discharge capacity at 2C was 872.4 mA h g−1 and the capacity was maintained 734.4 mA h g−1 after 200 cycles with only a 0.079% per cycle decay rate.

A flexible, “dead weight”-free lithium–sulfur battery substrate was prepared, and batteries using these substrates showed great electrochemical performance.  相似文献

To evaluate the incidence and risk factors for secondary solid tumors in Japan after allogeneic hematopoietic SCT (allo-HSCT), 2062 patients who had received allo-HSCT between 1984 and 2005 were retrospectively analyzed. Twenty-eight patients who developed 30 solid tumors were identified a median of 5.6 years after transplantation. The risk for developing tumors was 2.16-fold higher than that of the age- and sex-adjusted general population. The cumulative incidence of solid tumors at 10 years after allo-HSCT was 2.4%. The risk was significantly higher for tumors of the skin, oral cavity and esophagus (standard incidental ratio 40.23, 35.25 and 10.73, respectively). No increase in gastric, colon or lung cancer, despite being the most prevalent neoplasm in the Japanese, was observed. In multivariate analysis, occurrence of chronic GVHD and malignant lymphoma as a primary disease was associated with a higher risk for developing solid tumors. Eighteen patients are still alive, and their 5-year probability of survival since diagnosis of solid tumors is 59.7%. Our data suggest that the incidence and risk factors of secondary solid tumors in Japanese allo-HSCT recipients are comparable to those reported in Western countries and emphasize that the early detection of solid tumors has a crucial role in improving OS.  相似文献

To clarify whether long‐term oral ingestion of aluminum (Al) can increase tau aggregation in mammals, we examined the effects of oral Al administration on tau accumulation, apoptosis in the central nervous system (CNS) and motor function using tau transgenic (Tg) mice that show very slowly progressive tau accumulation. Al‐treated tau Tg mice had almost twice as many tau‐positive inclusions in the spinal cord as tau Tg mice without Al treatment at 12 months of age, a difference that reached statistical significance, and the development of pretangle‐like tau aggregates in the brain was also significantly advanced from 9 months. Al exposure did not induce any tau pathology in wild‐type (WT) mice. Apoptosis was observed in the hippocampus in Al‐treated tau Tg mice, but was virtually absent in the other experimental groups. Motor function as assessed by the tail suspension test was most severely impaired in Al‐treated tau Tg mice. Given our results, chronic oral ingestion of Al may more strongly promote tau aggregation, apoptosis and neurological dysfunction if individuals already had a pathological process causing tau aggregation. These findings may also implicate chronic Al neurotoxicity in humans, who frequently have had mild tau pathology from a young age.  相似文献

We report a rare case in which a cystic lesion in the cervix, caused by endometriosis, resulted in a massive vaginal hemorrhage. Cervical endometriosis is relatively common and is usually considered a mild condition. However, we report a case in which a severe vaginal bleed originated from an endometrial cyst of the cervix and in which diagnosis was confused by the presence of atypical cells.  相似文献

Taxol is a microtubule-stabilizing agent which induces apoptosis in various cancer cells. In this study, we found that T24 cells derived from high grade human urinary bladder cancer were relatively resistant to taxol and that the IC50 value determined by a colorimetric WST-1 assay was 406.0 nM. Interestingly, cyclosporin A (CsA), an immunosuppressive drug, dramatically enhanced sensitivity to taxol, and the IC50 value was decreased to 47.5 nM in the presence of 1 microM CsA. KK47 cells derived from low grade human urinary bladder cancer showed high sensitivity to taxol with an IC50 value of 78.8 nM which decreased to 14.4 nM in the presence of 1 microM CsA. FK506, another immunosuppressive drug, also enhanced sensitivity to taxol. Furthermore, a concomitant loss of calcineurin activity was observed after the treatment of both cell lines with both CsA and FK506. Taxol induced apoptosis of the cells, as assessed by Hoechst 33258 staining and by the measurement of caspase 3 activity. Immunoblot analysis with an antibody against Bcl-2 phosphorylated at serine 70 demonstrated that taxol induced the phosphorylation of Bcl-2 with its enhancement in the presence of CsA. In addition, treatment of the cells with CsA significantly decreased the expression of Bcl-2 at both the protein and mRNA levels. These results suggest that the enhancement of taxol-induced apoptosis by immunosuppressive drugs is at least partly due to the inhibition of calcineurin activity and the loss of the antiapoptotic function of Bcl-2 via the enhancement of phosphorylation and the reduction of expression.  相似文献
