Clinical significance and assessment of cytokines in various stages of ulcerative colitis

Summary In order to study the clinical significance and change of interleukin (IL)-1β and IL-10 concentration in intestinal mucosal tissues in various stage of ulcerative colitis (UC), IL-1β and IL10 levels were measured by enzyme linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA). Our results showed that IL-β level caused by spontaneous secretion in the intestinal mucous tissues in active stage of ulcerative colitis was significantly higher than that in normal controls and in remission stage of ulcerative colitis (P <0. 01,P<0. 001). IL-10 level in various stage of UC was relatively lower in controls, but there was no significantly difference between the two groups. Our study suggested that higher IL-1β level in active might play an important role in pathogenesis of UC, and IL-10, as an anti-inflammatory cytokine, was low in active UC, suggesting that it may be a important factor contributing to the development of higher IL-1β level. 多电极射频肿瘤治疗的体外实验研究

目的　了解射频消融灶大小与功率及时间的关系、超声与大体病理测值的关系、消融灶与周围组织的关系。方法　新鲜牛肝 3只和牛肾 2只 ,消融灶分两组 :距肝表面 1cm和 4cm ;同时将肾脏置于肝表面 ,用不同的功率和时间实验。结果　 10min时 ,2 0W ,40W ,6 0W ,80W的消融灶病理测值分别为 4.1cm ,3.8cm ,3.0cm ,3.3cm ,超声测值分别为 4.5cm ,4.0cm ,4.5cm ,4.0cm。 2 0min时 ,消融灶病理测值分别为 3.0cm ,4.1cm ,2 .8cm ,3.5cm ,超声测值分别为 4.3cm ,4.2cm ,3.4cm ,3.8cm。 30min时 ,消融灶病理测值分别为 3.5cm ,2 .9cm ,3.5cm ,3.4cm ,超声测值分别为 4.5cm ,4.0cm ,3.6cm ,4.1cm。超声和大体解剖测值相比 ,P <0 .0 1。消融灶和周围组织间有0 .3～ 0 .5cm的浅红色移行区。结论　射频消融灶的大小不随功率和时间的增加而增加 ,超声比大体病理测值大 ,两者差别有极显著性意义。消融病灶和周围组织间有移行区。浅表面的消融病灶对临近组织有损伤作用

Phase-Field-Based Axisymmetric Lattice Boltzmann Method for Two-Phase Electro-Hydrodynamic Flows

In this work, a novel and simple phase-field-based lattice Boltzmann (LB) method is proposed for the axisymmetric two-phase electro-hydrodynamic flows. The present LB method is composed of three LB models, which are used to solve the axisymmetric Allen-Cahn equation for the phase field, the axisymmetric Poisson equation for the electric potential, and the axisymmetric Navier-Stokes equations for the flow field. Compared with the previous LB models for the axisymmetric Poisson equation, which can be viewed as the solvers to the convection-diffusion equation, the present model is a genuine solver to the axisymmetric Poisson equation. To test the capacity of the LB method, the deformation of a single leaky or perfect dielectric drop under a uniform electric field is considered, and the effects of electric strength, conductivity ratio, and permittivity ratio are investigated in detail. It is found that the present numerical results are in good agreement with some available theoretical, numerical and/or experimental data.     

Relationship among blood pressure, viscosity of blood and cerebro-vascular disease

In this article, 163 cases of hypertension patients and 117 cases of stroke patients with acute period including 43 cases of hemorrhagic strokes and 74 cases of ischemic strokes were analyzed between average arterial blood pressure and blood viscosity. The curves of relation of blood pressure versus blood viscosity in the hypertension patients' group showed "M" shape. The hemorrhagic stroke patients were located by up-side of the "M" shape curve and the ischemic stroke patients were situated by the down-side of the "M" shape curve.
