Effect of postural angle on back muscle activities in aging female workers
performing computer tasks

[Purpose] This study investigated the effects of postural angle on back muscle activity
during a computer task in aging women. [Subjects] Seventeen women ≥50 years old
participated. [Methods] The participants were instructed to perform computer-related tasks
for 20 minutes on a workstation that simulated typical office working conditions. Back
posture was measured from the measured trunk and pelvic angles. Electromyography
activities were recorded simultaneously from the cervical erector spinae, longissimus, and
multifidus muscles. [Results] The lowest mean percentages of maximum voluntary contraction
for the cervical erector spinae and longissimus muscles were obtained when the upper trunk
and pelvic angles were between 0° to −5° from the sagittal plane. The back muscle
activities increased as the upper trunk and pelvic angles exceeded 0°. Statistical
analysis showed significant correlations between upper trunk angle and cervical erector
spinae and longissimus muscle activities. Similarly, pelvic angle was significantly
correlated with cervical erector spinae and multifidus muscle activities. [Conclusion] A
neutral back posture minimizes muscle activities in aging women performing computer

Background and Objectives:
Our objective is to clarify the effect of previous transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP) or open prostatectomy (OP) on surgical, oncological, and functional outcomes after robot-assisted radical prostatectomy (RARP).Methods:
Between August 1, 2009, and March 31, 2013, 380 patients underwent RARP. Of these, 25 patients had undergone surgery for primary bladder outlet obstruction (TURP, 20 patients; OP, 5 patents) (group 1). A match-paired analysis was performed to identify 36 patients without a history of prostate surgery with equivalent clinicopathologic characteristics to serve as a control group (group 2). Patients followed up for 12 months were assessed.Results:
Both groups were similar with respect to preoperative characteristics, as mean age, body mass index, median prostate-specific antigen, prostate volume, clinical stage, the biopsy Gleason score, D''Amico risk, the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) classification score, the International Prostate Symptom Score, continence, and potency status. RARP resulted in longer console and anastomotic time, as well as higher blood loss compared with surgery-naive patients. We noted a greater rate of urinary leakage (pelvic drainage, >4 d) in group 1 (12% vs 2,8%). The anastomotic stricture rate was significantly higher in group 1 (16% vs 2.8%). No difference was found in the pathologic stage, positive surgical margin, and nerve-sparing procedure between the groups. Biochemical recurrence was observed in 12% (group 1) and 11.1% (group 2) of patients, respectively. No significant difference was found in the continence and potency rates.Conclusions:
RARP after TURP or OP is a challenging but oncologically promising procedure with a longer console and anastomosis time, as well as higher blood loss and higher anastomotic stricture rate. 相似文献33.

This work presents the analysis of functional relationships between fraction size of abrasives and geometric parameters of surfaces after rotary cleaning. The influence of an abrasive type on the effectiveness of rotary cleaning of machine parts with complex geometric features was determined as well. The process of mechanical cleaning, using a rotational method, of clutch springs was performed in the proprietary device for rotational cleaning, which was followed by the computer-aided analysis of the obtained results. The research process was carried out using abrasive materials such as grinding stone, sand, basalt, glass, and fine gravel, and the test samples were clutch springs after eight years of operation. Based on calculated three-dimensional (3D) roughness values of the cleaned samples’ surfaces, qualitative classification of abrasives was determined. A series of 2‐pyrimidinyl‐piperazinyl‐alkyl derivatives of 1H‐imidazo[2,1‐f]purine‐2,4(3H,8H)‐dione has been synthesized in an attempt to discover a new class of psychotropic agents. Compounds were evaluated for their in vitro affinity for serotonin 5‐HT1A, 5‐HT7, and phosphodiesterases PDE4 and PDE10. The most potent compound 2‐pyrimidinyl‐1‐piperazinyl‐butyl‐imidazo[2,1‐f]purine‐2,4‐dione ( 4b ) behaved as strong and selective antagonist of 5‐HT1A. Molecular modeling studies revealed differences in binding mode between compound 4b and buspirone, which might reflect variation of the ligands’ affinity and potency in the 5‐HT1A receptor. Compound 4b in silico models demonstrated drug‐likeness properties and, contrary to buspirone, showed a metabolic stability in mouse liver microsomes system. Experimentally obtained value of apparent permeability coefficient Papp for 4b in parallel artificial permeability assay indicates the possibility of binding weakly to plasma proteins and high intestinal absorption fraction. Evaluation of the antidepressant‐ and anxiolytic‐like activities of 4b revealed both activities at the same dose of 1.25 mg/kg and seemed to be specific.
