Summary The aim of the present study was to explore the origin of cloacogenic carcinoma in the anal canal by immunohistochemical methods. We compared cytokeratin polypeptide expression of a cloacogenic carcinoma to normal anal epithelia, to anal squamous cell carcinoma and to basal and squamous cell carcinoma of the skin, using a battery of monoclonal anti-cytokeratin, polypeptide-specific antibodies. Our results indicate that cloacogenic carcinoma expresses cytokeratin polypeptides similar to those of the basal layer of anal squamous epithelium, of the anal transitional zone epithelium and of a layer of basal cells in the anal glands. Thus we concluded that each of the above cell types may be the cell of origin of cloacogenic carcinoma.  相似文献

Immunological activity to various antigens, including brain components, measles and other viruses, has been associated with IgG in multiple sclerosis (MS). One possible explanation for the presence of anti-viral antibodies and antibody to myelin basic protein (MBP) in MS patients is that there are antigenic determinants common to certain viruses and MBP. To assess this possibility, IgG from individual brains and sera from patients with MS, subacute sclerosing panencephalitis (SSPE) and controls was isolated by protein A and MBP-Sepharose affinity chromatography. Antibody to MBP was measured with a solid phase radioimmunoassay and antibody to measles and other viruses by immunofluorescence and/or complement fixation. Anti-MBP activity was detected in brain extracts and sera of all MS patients tested. In contrast to the low levels of antibody to MBP in control brains, high levels of anti-MBP antibodies were found in most of the normal sera. There was no correlation between the presence and levels of serum anti-measles antibodies and the anti-MBP activity. None of the anti-MBP antibodies affinity purified from brain and serum of MS patients reacted with any of the viruses tested, including measles. IgG purified from SSPE patients or from a rabbit hyperimmunized with measles antigen had no reactivity to MBP, despite high levels of anti-measles antibody. It is concluded that there is not direct link between the presence of antibody to MBP and antibody to measles and other viruses in MS patients.  相似文献

A nonlinear circadian model is postulated as the underlying process in the generation of biological data containing several significant non-24-hour rhythms. The model (a) attributes observed multimodal dispersion to the nonlinear influence of processes which modulate the circadian rhythm, but which are very slow compared to 24-hour processes, and (b) provides quantitative estimates of the period of this slow modulation, as well as the period of the basic circadian rhythm. Under this model, circadian data previously presumed to be anomalous gives a consistent derived basic rhythm of about 24 hours.  相似文献

Telechelic aromatic diamines ( 11 ) containing an oligo- or polysiloxane chain were prepared in a 4-step synthesis. In the first step 1-allyloxy-4-nitrobenzene ( 6 ) was synthesized and subsequently hydrosilylated with chlorodimethylsilane. In the third step the product ( 7 ) was hydrolyzed or condensed with α-hydro-β-hydroxyoligo- or polydimethylsiloxane ( 9a or 9b ). In the last step the nitro groups were reduced into amino groups. The steps were controlled by means of 1H and 29Si NMR spectroscopy.  相似文献

Three methyl 11-(N-acryloyl-N-alkylamino)undecanoates were synthesized from acryloyl chloride and amino-or alkylaminoundecanoic acid esters. These compounds were telomerized in the presence of 1-dodecanethiol as telogen to yield telomers with molecular weight lower than 5000. These telomers are likely to generate HIV inhibitor polyanions with good biocompatibility. The K/Kt value was assessed from a kinetic study of the telomerization reaction. NMR spectroscopy analysis indicates that the polymerization degree DP n are in good agreement with expectation for methyl 11-(N-acryloylamino)undecanoate. However, they were lower than expected for methyl 11-(N-acryloyl-N-alkylamino)undecanoate.  相似文献
