Funktionelle Spätresultate nach Pneumonektomien wegen Bronchuscarcinom im hohen Alter

Zusammenfassung Spirographische und blutgasanalytische Untersuchungen in Ruhe und bei Belastung sowie klinische Untersuchungen an 18 Patienten die wegen Bronchuscarcinom pneumonektomiert wurden, im 7. Lebens-dezennium standen und deren Operation 4–11 Jahre zurückliegt, zeigten, da? bei günstiger funktioneller Ausgangslage die im 7. Dezennium Operierten nach einer entsprechenden Adaptationszeit keinen progredienten Abbau der Funktion der Restlunge und der klinischen Leistungsf?higkeit erleiden. Auf Grund dieser Beobachtungen ist trotz der h?heren unmittelbaren postoperativen Mortalit?t im hohen Alter die Pneumonektomie bei Vorliegen eines Bronchuscarcinoms gerechtfertigt, um so mehr, als sich ein geringerer Malignit?tsgrad des Carcinoms in dieser Altersstufe nicht best?tigen lie?.     

Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy and gastro-oesophageal reflux in neurologically impaired children

AIM:To investigate the effects of percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy(PEG) feeding on gastro-oesophageal reflux(GOR) in a group of these children using combined intraluminal pH and multiple intraluminal impedance(pH/MII) .
