Eighty-six patients with chronic anterior uveitis were followed up for an average of five years after cataract surgery. In most cases the course of the uveitis was favorably influenced: inflammatory signs were reduced in 70% and the frequency of recurrence in 94%. With regard to the postoperative course, there was no significant difference between the eyes in which an iris suture had been performed and those in which it had not. One should therefore not hesitate to remove cataracts in patients with chronic uveitis.  相似文献

Summary It is reported on the ciliary body-impression funnel to the Goldmanns three mirror contact glass. This impression funnel allows it, to do the slitlamp examination of the corona ciliaris, the zonular fibers between posterior surface of lens and corona ciliaris, and the peripheral part of anterior vitreous body along the pars plicata of the ciliary body.

Hier wird über eine kongenitale Hemeralopie berichtet, bei der klinisch vor allem die Aderhaut ver?ndert ist. Mit Hilfe des Elektroretinogramms konnte gezeigt werden, da? es sich nicht um eine tapetoretinale Degeneration handelt.
Summary Congenital night blindness may occur without any ophthalmoscopic symptoms (essential night blindness) or in connection with retinal changes (Oguchi’s disease,Kandori’s spotted retina and fundus albipunctatus cum hemeralopia Lauber). The authors report about a congenital night blindness in which mainly the chorioidea was changed. By aid of the electroretinogram it was possible to show that a tapetoretinal degeneration was not present.

Summary Cellularity, mitotic rate and nuclear size were determined objectively in 47 chondrosarcomas. Grading was also performed, according to the systems of O'Neal and Ackerman and of Evans. The survival rate and incidence of metastases 10 years after diagnosis were calculated.The prognostic significance of the objectively determined cytological parameters was investigated. The accuracy of determination of these cytological parameters by grading (Evans) was also analyzed.Nuclear size seemed to be the best prognostic parameter, while cellularity appeared to be the strongest determinant for grading.Gross differences of nuclear size can be assessed visually, while more subtle, although prognostically significant, differences can only be determined by objective means.The results of this study indicate that the mere determination of nuclear size by objective means may give significant prognostic information, which is equal to, or even better than, conventional grading of chondrosarcoma.  相似文献

Zusammenfassung Ohne Eindellung der Bulbuswand sind der Biomikroskopie der Hinterkammer linsenhaltiger Augen enge Grenzen gesetzt. Mit Hilfe eines Impressionskontaktglases lassen sich hingegen bisher unzugängliche Abschnitte der Hinterkammer translental an der Spaltlampe untersuchen. Summary Without depression of the wall of the bulb the biomicroscopy of the posterior chamber of nonaphakic eyes is strictly limited. On the contrary it is possible now, to examine hitherto inaccessible parts of the posterior chamber with the aid of a depressing contact glass. In the following papers we will report on the results of the biomicroscopy with the posterior chamber contact glass.

In the paper, by applicating the classic definition of concentration Rayleigh number and the second Kedem-Katchalsky equation, there was deriven the equation of the fourth degree, which makes thicknesses (deltah and deltal) dependent on the concentration difference (Ch-Cl), concentration Rayleigh number (Rc), membrane permeability parameters (omega, xi s) and solutions (Dl, Dh), physico-chemical parameters of solutions (v(l), v(h), rho l, rho h, delta rho/deltaC), temperature (T) and gravitational acceleration (g). On the basis of the obtained formula for isothermal conditions (T = const) and constant gravitational field (g = const), there were calculated non-linear dependencies delta h = f(Ch-Cl)(Rc, zeta s), delta h = f (Rc)((Ch-Cl),zeta s) and delta h = f(delta s)((Ch-Cl),Rc).  相似文献

The volume flows through double-layer polymeric membranous dressing, formed by three types of theromoplastic polymeric fibers called Textus Bioactive were studied. The first layer contains two types of fibers: the polymeric fibers containing hydrophobic core and hydrophilic surfaces with silver zeolite and hydrophilic super absorbing polymers (SAP). The second layer of membrane contains third type of polymeric fibers, arranged parallel to surface's skin, creating a net, which prevents membranous dressing from sticking to treated wound. The pressure characteristics of the volume flux were determined and it was stated that the value of this flux is dependent on the value of hydrostatic pressure difference (deltaP) and the concentration difference (deltaC) of solutions separated by membrane. Experimental results show that the membranous dressing Textus Bioactive posses the rectifying properties with reference to volume flows. These properties occurs above a threshold value of deltaC. Using the Kedem-Katchalsky equations, the model of the volume flows through membranous dressing Textus Bioactive was made.  相似文献

OBJECTIVE: To investigate renal preservation by a novel method of perfusion using an oxygenated perfluorocarbon (PFC) emulsion via retrograde access to the kidney, as preserving renal function during urological surgery has been elusive, and the recognized technique of nephron-sparing surgery has increased its application and practice in modern urology. MATERIALS AND METHODS: After institutional review and approval, 30 New Zealand White rabbits were studied. In a solitary kidney model, each rabbit had the ureter catheterized before 40 min of renal artery occlusion. Each rabbit was randomized to one retrograde perfusion group, i.e. sham, normothermic PFC, chilled PFC, normothermic saline, and chilled saline. The rabbits were maintained for 2 weeks, during which renal function, urine output, systemic blood gases, weight and serum creatinine level were measured. After death, the kidneys were individually examined and graded by one renal pathologist unaware of the treatment. RESULTS: The rabbits treated with retrograde PFC perfusion (normothermic and chilled) had less change in their creatinine clearance, at 3.6 and 4.0 mL/min per kg, than the sham group, at 7.8 mL/min per kg, while also having significantly higher systemic venous oxygenation, at 26.3 and 10.0 mmHg, than the sham group, at 0.2 mmHg. Normothermic and chilled perfusion with PFC was also associated with less histological evidence of ischaemic damage, with mean (sd) scores of 13.0 (13.5) and 8.7 (4.5), respectively, than in the sham group, at 33.3 (16.8), while favourably matching the contralateral control kidney group, at 5.5 (2.3). The rabbits treated with saline retrograde perfusion also had better outcomes than the sham cohort. There were no adverse effects in any of the study arms or with the use of PFC. CONCLUSION: Retrograde oxygen delivery to the kidney through the urinary collecting system was successful in this pilot study. Renal function, laboratory and histological data indicate a trend towards renal preservation and even systemic oxygenation in the experimental groups compared with the sham rabbits, with no adverse effects attributed to this technique.  相似文献

Triploidy is one of the most common chromosomal numerical aberrations, resulting usually from one out off two main mechanisms: aberrant segregation of chromosomes during meiosis or from the fertilization of one egg by two sperms. In present paper the methods of non-invasive and invasive prenatal diagnosis of triploidy in I and II trimester are described. We also report the case of triploid fetus, diagnosed by ultrasound visualisation followed by amniocenthesis and cytogenetic analysis.  相似文献
