Dexetimide, a useful tool in acetylcholine-receptor localization   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Binding of the anticholinergic agent 3H-dexetimide, the active isomer of (±)-benzetimide, to subcellular fractions of the caudate nucleus of the male Wistar rat was studied by equilibrium dialysis. The binding is stereospecific, reversible, appears to involve the muscarinic type of acetylcholine receptor (AchR) and correlates well with the physiological response of the AchR as can be concluded from displacement experiments using cholinergic and non-cholinergic ligands. The binding sites are located on membrane fragments probably originating from the post-synaptic membranes.  相似文献

Intracerebral injections of 6-hydroxydopamine directly in the nucleus locus coeruleus were performed in 4-day-old rats. The effects of such treatment on the subsequent development of this nucleus were analyzed and compared to those obtained in vehicle-injected age-paired controls. The 3 histological techniques used (Nissl, Glenner reaction, and histochemical fluorescence) indicated in the experimental group a progressive disappearance of the coerulean perikarya within 7 days postinjection. This lesion was permanent and did not induce any noradrenergic sprouting.  相似文献

Summary Fifteen patients with invasive squamous cell carcinoma of the uterine cervix were treated with human leukocyte interferon (HLI). HLI was applied topically and i.m. to nine patients, and only topically to six. After therapy, surgical material was free from tumor cells in three patients, tumor cells were identified as invasive carcinoma in one patient and as CA in situ in two patients. Findings remained unchanged in nine patients. Tumor metastases in the lymph nodes were found in only one patient. The patients' overall response to therapy was assessed on the basis of stromal response, relation of tumor cells and macrophage activity, and the reactivity of lymph nodes.  相似文献

Summary The whole vagal afferent innervation of cardio-vascular and respiratory systems of the cat was investigated by mean of the microelectrode technique. In this paper we study the discharge of 330 vagal neurons.The most interesting data concern the pericardial receptors, the expiratory receptors and the pneumo-vascular (or cardio-pulmonary) receptors.We have found several types of pericardial receptors. Some have a spontaneous cardiac rhythm, which happens generally during the diastole. Others keep silent or discharge irregularly, but they can get a cardiac rhythm if blood volume is increased.Only 4 expiratory receptors were found. They are connected with unmyelinated fibres and they discharge only during expiration.The pneumo-vascular receptors were often seen. They show superimposed cardiac and inspiratory rhythms. The cardiac rhythm happens generally at a precise moment of the cardiac cycle (ventricular or auricular systole). The pneumovascular receptors are located near the heart or the great thoracic vessels, the pulsation of which produces the cardiac rhythm.
