The current research work was conducted to characterize wheat proteins through immunochemical techniques and to find out their relationship with wheat quality traits. The results revealed that wheat variety AARI-11 possessed higher protein content (11.96%), wet gluten (31.39%), dry gluten (9.66%), Pelshenke value (190.52 min), and SDS-Sedimentation value (28.27 ml) than other tested varieties. The chapattis prepared from the wheat variety AARI-11 got significantly higher sensory scores owing to its higher protein contents. The wheat variety AARI-11 also exhibited significantly the highest antibody response against all the assessed protein fractions. The results of the present study suggest that anti-glutenin and anti-high molecular weight glutenin subunits (HMW-GS) antibody response was found positively correlated to the quality characteristics of flours and chapattis. The present study suggests that the use of antibodies response against glutenin and HMW-GS offers good tool for predicting quality and suitability of wheat to chapatti-making quality. 相似文献

High fat diets increase the risk for insulin resistance by promoting inflammation. The cause of inflammation is unclear, but germfree mouse studies have implicated commensal gut bacteria. We tested whether diet-induced obesity, diabetes, and inflammation are associated with anti-bacterial IgG. Blood from lean and obese healthy volunteers or obese patients with diabetes were analyzed by ELISA for IgG against extracts of potentially pathogenic and pro-biotic strains of Escherichia coli (LF-82 and Nissle), Bacteroides thetaiotaomicron, and Lactobacillus acidophilus, and for circulating tumor necrosis factor α (TNFα). C57Bl/6 mice were fed low- or high-fat diets (10% or 60% kcal from fat) for 10 weeks and tested for anti-bacterial IgG, bodyweight, fasting glucose, and inflammation. Obese diabetic patients had significantly more IgG against extracts of E. coli LF-82 compared with lean controls, whereas IgG against extracts of the other bacteria was unchanged. Circulating TNFα was elevated and correlated with IgG against the LF-82 extract. Mice fed high-fat diets had increased fasting glucose levels, elevated TNFα and neutrophils, and significantly more IgG against the LF-82 extracts. Diabetes in obesity is characterized by increased IgG against specific bacterial antigens. Specific commensal bacteria may mediate inflammatory effects of high-fat diets. 相似文献

Acute coronary artery obstruction at the time of device implantation is a recognized, albeit rare, complication of TAVI and is most frequently managed by emergency percutaneous intervention. This complication usually manifests with circulatory collapse due to compromising left ventricular ischemia and is most often observed immediately following valve deployment in the catheter laboratory or in theater. Immediate circulatory support is often necessary. We describe the first report of delayed left main stem obstruction 3.5 hours after successful deployment of a 26 mm Edwards SAPIEN XT valve via transfemoral implantation, with sudden development of circulatory collapse on the ward. Circulatory support was rapidly and effectively instituted with an automated non-invasive cardiac massage device, AutoPulse, that delivers continuous chest compressions. Successful emergency percutaneous intervention was then undertaken to the left main stem to displace a calcified nodule during automated external cardiac massage with the AutoPulse. 相似文献

Background: This study tests the effectiveness of hydroxyapatite and collagen bone blocks of equine origin (eHAC), infused with recombinant human platelet‐derived growth factor‐BB (rhPDGF‐BB), to augment localized posterior mandibular defects in non‐human primates (Papio hamadryas). Methods: Bilateral critical‐sized defects simulating severe atrophy were created at the time of the posterior teeth extraction. Test and control blocks (without growth factor) were randomly grafted into the respective sites in each non‐human primate. Results: All sites exhibited vertical ridge augmentation, with physiologic hard‐ and soft‐tissue integration of the blocks when clinical and histologic examinations were done at 4 months after the vertical ridge augmentation procedure. There was a clear, although non‐significant, tendency to increased regeneration in the test sites. As in the first two preclinical studies in this series using canines, experimental eHAC blocks infused with rhPDGF‐BB proved to be a predictable and technically viable method to predictably regenerate bone and soft tissue in critical‐sized defects. Conclusion: This investigation supplies additional evidence that eHAC blocks infused with rhPDGF‐BB growth factor is a predictable and technically feasible option for vertical augmentation of severely resorbed ridges. 相似文献
