Association of congenital cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection with autism spectral disorder (ASD) has been suggested since 1980s. Despite the observed association, its role as a risk factor for ASD remains to be defined. In the present review, we systematically evaluated the available evidence associating congenital CMV infection with ASD using PubMed, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, and Embase databases. Any studies on children with CMV infection and ASD were evaluated for eligibility and three observational studies were included in meta-analysis. Although a high prevalence of congenital CMV infection in ASD cases (OR 11.31, 95% CI 3.07–41.66) was indicated, too few events (0–2 events) in all included studies imposed serious limitations. The prevalence of sesamoid bones in the hands has been reported in some previous articles. Most of them, however, have reported sesamoid bones of the metacarpophalangeal joint of the hand and of the interphalangeal (IP) joint of the thumb. The present study investigates the prevalence of sesamoid bones of the IP joint of the thumb and fingers. A retrospective review of radiologic views of the IP joints in the thumb or fingers was performed, including a total of 650 patients (1,096 thumbs or fingers). Sesamoid bones were found in the IP joint of the thumb at 67% (212 of 318), while the index, middle, ring, little fingers had sesamoid bones in the proximal interphlangeal (PIP) joint at 0% (0 of 172), 0.4% (1 of 244), 0.5% (1 of 183), and 1% (2 of 179), respectively. None of the four fingers had sesamoid bones in the distal IP joint. Previous articles have described the similar prevalence to the present study, of sesamoid bones of the IP joint of the thumb, while some others reported the different prevalence. About the PIP joint, no previous articles have found a sesamoid bone. Because the lateral X‐ray view is more accurate and suitable to evaluate sesamoid bones, we used the lateral one for the present study. The knowledge that sesamoid bones occurs at these rates in the thumb IP joint and finger PIP joints is helpful to differentiate chip fractures from sesamoid bones near the IP joint, including the PIP joint. Objective: The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between
the emotional intelligence quotient and health-related quality of life using structural
equation modeling.Methods: A self-administered questionnaire survey was conducted among 1,911
mothers who visited the Health Center for an infant medical examination. A hypothetical
model was constructed using variables of the emotional intelligence quotient, social
support, coping, parenting stress, and perceived health competence.Result: There were a total of 1,104 valid responses (57.8%). Significant
standardized estimates were obtained, confirming the goodness of fit issues with the
model. The emotional intelligence quotient had a strong impact on physical and
psychological quality of life, and showed the greatest association with coping. This study
differed from previous studies in that, due to the inclusion of social support and
explanatory variables in coping, an increase in coping strategies was more highly
associated with emotional intelligence quotient levels than with social support.Conclusion: An enhanced emotional intelligence quotient should be considered

The 320-detector row computed tomography (CT) system, i.e., the area detector CT (ADCT), can perform helical scanning with detector configurations of 4-, 16-, 32-, 64-, 80-, 100-, and 160-detector rows for routine CT examinations. This phantom study aimed to compare the quality of images obtained using helical scan mode with different detector configurations. The image quality was measured using modulation transfer function (MTF) and noise power spectrum (NPS). The system performance function (SP), based on the pre-whitening theorem, was calculated as MTF2/NPS, and compared between configurations. Five detector configurations, i.e., 0.5 × 16 mm (16 row), 0.5 × 64 mm (64 row), 0.5 × 80 mm (80 row), 0.5 × 100 mm (100 row), and 0.5 × 160 mm (160 row), were compared using a constant volume CT dose index (CTDIvol) of 25 mGy, simulating the scan of an adult abdomen, and with a constant effective mAs value. The MTF was measured using the wire method, and the NPS was measured from images of a 20-cm diameter phantom with uniform content. The SP of 80-row configuration was the best, for the constant CTDIvol, followed by the 64-, 160-, 16-, and 100-row configurations. The decrease in the rate of the 100- and 160-row configurations from the 80-row configuration was approximately 30%. For the constant effective mAs, the SPs of the 100-row and 160-row configurations were significantly lower, compared with the other three detector configurations. The 80- and 64-row configurations were adequate in cases that required dose efficiency rather than scan speed. 相似文献
