Inhibitory effect of glycyrrhiza uralensis fish and chelidonium majus L on gastrocarcinogenesis induced by N-methyl-N′-nitron-N-nitrosoguanidine

In order to investigate the antagonistic effect of Glycyrrhiza Uralensis Fish (GUF) and Chelidonium maJus L (CML) on gastrccarcinogenesis induced by MNNG in Wastar rats, we treated the rats with MNNG alone (group 1) and with MNNG plus GUF and CML (group 2 and 3) respectively. The incidence of infiltrating adenocarcinoma of the glandular stomach and duodenum in group 2 was significantly lower than that in group 1 (26.7% vs. 67.8%). The differentiation and aggressivenees of carcinomas occured in group 2 were much better and mild than those in group 1. Present study also demonstrated that the inhibitory effect of CML on proliferation of human stomach carcinoma cell line MGC-803 was very remarkable; in addition, GUF and CML were able to antagonise the mutagenic activation of MNNG. These results suggest that GUF and CML may be empoyed in prevention of gastric carcinoma.     

Postpemphigus acanthomata: a sign of clinical activity?

Background Pemphigus is a group of vesiculobullous disorders in which the blisters usually heal with hyper- or hypopigmentation. The appearance of acanthomata at sites of previous blisters has been noted in some cases. Methods All cases of pemphigus admitted to the Madras Medical College hospitals during a 2-year period from March 1993 to March 1995 were taken into the study and screened for the presence of acanthomata. Results Fifty-two cases of pemphigus were identified, 47 of pemphigus vulgaris and five of pemphigus foliaceus; and of these 13 developed acanthomata when the blisters healed. Ten of these cases were of pemphigus vulgaris and three were of pemphigus foliaceus; biopsy of these lesions showed hyperkeratosis, acanthosis, papillomatosis, and intraepidermal clefting. Immunofluorescence carried out in two of these acanthomata also showed intercellular fluorescence. Conclusions The occurrence of acanthomata in healed lesions of pemphigus is not uncommon; because histopathologic and immunofluorescence evidence of disease activity is present, cases of this sort require careful follow-up.     

补泻手法辨证治疗腰背痛临床观察

根据中医基本理论,将120例腰背痛患者分为虚证和实证两大类,并分组进行疗效对比手法治疗。观察组60例,辩证施治,补虚泻实;对照组60例,平补平泻,不辩证施治。结果显示观察组痊愈率明显高于对照组,疗程也较对照组短(虚证P<0.05,实证P<0.01)。表明手法的补泻作用是客观存在的,且具有一定的临床应用价值。     

上海市闵行区流动人口中的孕产妇保健状况

通过对上海市闵行区580名外来孕产妇及580名作为对照的本地孕产妇的孕产期保健现况调查分析,表明外来孕产妇缺乏必要的孕产期保健措施,有47.6％的外来孕产妇从未做产前检查,产后保健则完全没有,并由此而造成外来产妇在急产、死产、甚至孕产妇死亡等方面令人忧虑的现状。为适应和促进当前经济发展的新形势,改善流动人口的孕产妇保健状况,应对流动人口中孕产妇保健状况深入研究,并采取相应的措施。     

马桑内酯所致癫痫发作大鼠红细胞免疫粘附功能的研究

作者用红细胞Ｃ＿３ｂ受体花环试验和红细胞免疫复合物花环试验对马桑内酯所致癫痫发作大鼠红细胞免疫粘附功能的变化进行了观察，结果表明，癫痫组动物红细胞Ｃ＿３ｂ受体花环率明显低于对照组，而红细胞免疫复合物花环率相差不显著．提示癫痫发作可导致大鼠红细胞免疫粘附功能降低，因此在癫痫治疗中注意调整和增强患者的红细胞免疫功能具有重要意义。     

高海拔（2261m）急性习服期大鼠脑内β—EP含量的实验研究（之三）

选用标化成年雄性Wistar大鼠、以放射免疫测定法（RIA），研究了大鼠由平原引入高海拔环境后，在24小时急性司服期，垂体及各脑区内β－内啡肪样免疫活性物质（β－EPLI）的含量变化。结果表明，大鼠引入高海拔环境后脑内β－EP含量发生明显的动态变化。高海拔实验组与平原对照组相比，垂体内β－EP含量降低非常显著（P＜0．01）。纹状体、下丘脑、丘脑、桥延、海马、皮层内β－EP含量增加非常显著（P＜0．01）。中脑内β－EP含量虽然也增加，统计学处理无显著性意义（P＞0．05）。据此推测：大鼠急进高海拔低氧环境后垂体β－EP的分泌与释放受到影响。提示，脑内β－EP参与低氧的应激反应过程，可能作为神经递质和调质，通过神经──内分泌环路在应激反应中起介导作用，β－EP可能为中枢神经系统内调节应激反应的主要应激激素之一。

本文从髌骨软骨软化症的病因病理出发，阐述了活血化瘀疗法治疗髌骨软骨软化症的作用及其原理，列举了活血化瘀法在该病治疗中的具体运用，同时强调了在辨证施治基础上活血化瘀的重要性。     

HELLP Syndrome: an Often Unrecognized Complication of Preeclampsia

We describe a case of preeclampsia with the HELLP (Haemolysis, Elevated Liver enzymes, Low Platelets) syndrome and highlight the delayed diagnosis due to its nonspecific presentation. This syndrome is associated with significant maternal and perinatal mortality and morbidity and we discuss the importance of early recognition of the condition, aggressive management and a multidisciplinary approach.
