In experimentsin vitro after preliminary incubation of fibrinogen with terrilytin clot formation was retarded and subsequent lysis accelerated. Terrilytinin vitro lengthened the recalcification time, reduced thromboplastic activity and fibrinase activity and, at the same time, increased the fibrinolytic activity of blood plasma. Closteroviruses possess exceptionally long filamentous virus particles that mediate protection and active transport of the genomic RNA within infected plants. These virions are composed of a long “body” and short “tail” whose principal components are the major and minor capsid proteins, respectively. Here we use biochemical, genetic, and ultrastructural analyses to dissect the molecular composition and architecture of particles of beet yellows virus, a closterovirus. We demonstrate that the virion tails encapsidate the 5′-terminal, ≈650-nt-long, part of the viral RNA. In addition to the minor capsid protein, the viral Hsp70-homolog, 64-kDa protein, and 20-kDa protein are also incorporated into the virion tail. Atomic force microscopy of virions revealed that the tail possesses a striking, segmented morphology with the tip segment probably being built of 20-kDa protein. The unexpectedly complex structure of closterovirus virions has important mechanistic and functional implications that may also apply to other virus families.  相似文献

The investigation included 35 patients with diseases of blood and spleen pathology (30) and wounds and traumas of the abdomen with injuries of that organ (5), treated by laparoscopic splenectomy through a lateral access. The technique and stages of the operation and advantages of the lateral access are described. The laparoscopic splenectomy was shown to be possible in 90% of cases if patients were selected with special reference to the main disease, size and degree of pathological alterations in the spleen. An adequate approach to selections of patients with injuries of the organ allowed to make operations in more than a third of the patients and casualties. When using the lateral access laparoscopic splenectomy is thought to be more convenient, gives better visualization of the anatomical structures and reduces risk of injury of adjacent organs, thus resulting in less frequency of complications and conversions.  相似文献

Experimental investigations carried out in 154 white rats and 24 mongrel dogs have proved pathogenetical effectiveness and safety of using the method of parietal-cavitary sanitation of the intestine in treatment of acute experimental peritonitis. This method used in complex treatment in 28 patients with acute diffuse peritonitis allowed a 1.5-2 times quicker arrest of the syndrome of endogenous intoxication and liquidation of intestinal paresis. Infectious complications were 43% less frequent and the lethality indices were reduced by 9.5% as compared with the results obtained in the control group.  相似文献
