V-containing mesoporous silica with 3D structure was prepared by a hydrothermal procedure using NH4VO3 as the vanadium precursor and with varied reaction mixture pH values (pH = 3 and pH = 5). The combined use of DR UV-vis and H2-TPR techniques confirmed the successful incorporation of vanadium into the structure of the mesoporous silica material. The number of acid sites, evidenced by ammonia TPD, strongly correlates with the vanadium content. Propene oxidation with N2O revealed the noticeable activity of the synthesised vanadium-containing mesoporous materials in epoxidation reactions. The activity of the synthesized vanadosilicates is compared with the performance of vanadium-supported catalysts (on mesoporous silica of 3D structures) prepared by wet-impregnation method. On the basis of TOF analysis indicating the activity of particular vanadium ions, it was evidenced that although the presence of isolated V species is crucial in propene epoxidation, the availability of the active species is of paramount importance for proper vanadium utilization.Novel promising vanadium catalysts based on mesoporous silica of 3D structure, namely KIT-6, SBA-12, and MCF, for the direct propene epoxidation with N2O. 相似文献

PURPOSETo report the outcomes for 76 patients with penile cancer treated with high-dose-rate brachytherapy (HDR-BT) at a single institution.METHODSSeventy-six patients with penile cancer treated with HDR-BT in our department between October 1998 and September 2018 were analyzed. Seventy underwent interstitial HDR-BT (fractionation dose range of 3–3.5 Gy given twice a day with an interval of at least six hours between the fractions), and six underwent superficial treatment with mold applicators (fractionation dose range of 4–7 Gy given once or twice a week).RESULTSMedian follow-up was 76 months (7–204 months). In the whole group, 22/76 local failures (28.9%) were observed: 14/76 (18.4%) local recurrences and 8/76 (10.5%) cases of persistent disease. Median time to recurrence was 24 months (9–54 months). Inguinal lymph node metastases were observed in 18/76 cases (23.7%). Distant metastases occurred in 12/76 (15.8%) cases. Patients with local recurrence and persistent disease underwent salvage penectomies, except four who refused surgery and underwent a second course of interstitial HDR-BT. Five- and 10-year cause-specific survival were 85.0% and 77.8%, respectively. Local control at 5 and 10 years was 65.6%. Five- and 10-year penile preservation were 69.5% and 66.9%, respectively. There was no G3 or G4 acute toxicity. One urethral stenosis (1.3%) occurred in a patient with a T3 tumor and was treated successfully with dilatation.CONCLUSIONSHDR-BT provides good local control of penile cancer and is a good option for penis preservation therapy and in our experience achieves a penile preservation rate at 10 years of 66.9%. 相似文献

The main goal of this study was to evaluate in vivo effects of low dose of PEG-coated magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles (IONPs) on the rat liver. The IONPs was intravenously injected into rats at a dose equaled to 0.03?mg of Fe per 1?kg of an animal body weight. The elemental composition of liver tissue in rats subjected to IONPs action and controls were compared. Moreover, in order to determine the dynamics of nanoparticles (NPs) induced elemental changes, the tissues taken from animals 2?hours, 24?hours, and 7?days from IONPs injection were examined. The analysis of subtle elemental anomalies occurring as a result of IONPs action required application of highly sensitive analytical method. The total reflection X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy perfectly meets such requirements and therefore it was used in this study. The obtained results showed increasing trend of Fe level within liver occurring 2?hours from IONPs injection. One day after NPs administration, the liver Fe content presented the baseline level what suggests only the short-term accumulation of nanoparticles in the organ. The Ca, Cu, and Zn levels changed significantly as a result of NPs action. Moreover, the anomalies in their accumulation were still observed 7?days after IONPs injection. The level of Cu decreased while those of Ca and Zn increased in the liver of NPs-treated animals. The reduced liver Cu, followed by elevated serum level of this element, might be related in triggering the mechanisms responsible for Fe metabolism in the organism. 相似文献

Ump1 is responsible for maturation of the catalytic core of the 26S proteasome. Dysfunction of Ump1 causes an increase in the frequency of spontaneous mutations in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. In this study we analyze the spectrum of mutations occurring spontaneously in yeast deficient in Ump1 by use of the SUP4-o system. Single base substitutions predominate among the mutations analyzed (73 of the 91 alterations examined). Two major classes are GC to TA transversions and GC to AT transitions ( approximately 50 and approximately 30% of base substitutions, respectively). Besides base substitutions, almost all the major types of sequence alterations are represented. The specificity and distribution of mutations occurring in the ump1 strain are unique compared to the spectra previously established for other yeast mutators. However, the profile of mutations arising in this strain is similar to that observed in wild type. The same similarity has previously been reported for yeast deficient in Mms2, a protein involved in Rad6-dependent postreplication DNA repair (PRR). The specificity of the mutator effect caused by ump1 is discussed in light of the proposed role of the proteasome activity in the regulation of the PRR mechanisms. 相似文献
